  1. Oh Krystle..I had no idea, thank you! I will have to call and check to make sure!

Kayla - yeah stress can play a big factor.. I know ive made mine late for those reasons sometimes. But im glad Mathew is arriving tomorrow!!!!

I knew I was pregnant.. Idk how I knew but I knew.. I turned to Kenyth a few weeks ago and said.. I'm pregnant just so you know.. and we both laughed.

Then 3 days I woke up extremely tired and not feeling good.. and I started to doubt it and think oh its from the move.. and waking up so early. Then the next day I was fine but I saw two dots of blood (sorry if im being gross) ..they were the size of this . so then I thought okay maybe I am wrong and my period is coming. Then yesterday I had a bigger spot but brownish..and thought okay my period is going to come in a few hours..but nothing.. so when Kenyth got home from work I said.. lets go get a test

Read the instructions.. and I got him to count the seconds as I stuck it in a cup..and i said okay ..2 mins now.. go away...and then I went and asked is two mins up. He said yes..I went and looked..I kinda threw the test back down ..backed into a corner and screamed.. WHAT IS THIS.. KENYTH ..WHAT IS THIS..

lol.. so we found out together..we're both happy.. nervous.. but happy. I can go into the doctor as soon as I get a way over there, I pee on a stick for them to confirm and then they refer me to an OB.

It feels weird... like its not real yet.

  2. okay , this is just for my visajourney family... Not many people know and I don't plan on telling a lot of people just yet...

    but..

I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive...Im going to be calling the doctor today to schedule an appt to confirm...

and yes...this means I got pregnant oh..about 3 days after the wedding...lol!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot sooner than expected but things happen for a reason...

but you all are so important to me...that I wanted to let you all know asap.

  3. Karen, SO BEAUTIFUL!!! so happy for you!! Congrats!!!!

KRYSTLE YAY!! Glad to hear your great news!!!

    Kayla.. tick tock!!! Excited???

    Frenzy, good luck!

Jenn Hope everything is still going well for you =)

I actually didn't apply for my social yet, I thought it came automatically LOL.. but I have the form now so I will apply soon. Krystle - I can't go on the house, only marines are allowed to be on the lease, but I think my name is down as his wife. I can't go on his bank account yet either, because they want my social. But my medical insurance card is suppose to arrive soon and that letter should be in my name =). I will be applying for my social first chance I get.. still don't have a car but it looks like we'll be getting it here very soon... gonna make things easier lol

  4. yay wedding!!!! enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Krystle... I get up early because I can't work lol... so I get up every morning at 4am and cook hubby breakfast, pack his lunch, and pack his uniforms. Usually he doesn't have to go so early, but for the next month or so they added Mandatory Physical Training before work. So he needs a good meal, PT outfit and then his camies packed for when PT is over. I then go to bed around 5am sometimes 5:30am and wake up around 8 or 9am to start laundry and cleaning. He comes home around 4:30pm or later depending on how the day is going and cooks supper for us.

He doesn't ask me to do this but I figure it's nice to do for him.. and I have nothing else to do and it keeps me from becoming lazy for when I can start working again.. It gives him an hour extra of sleep before he actually has to leave for work and any little thing I can do to help support him and make his day easier makes me very happy. I actually like this as my job, its something different after doing the same thing for 10 years lol.

  5. code word is a good idea Kayla!

paciencia y fe omg... I would be freaking!! I hope you find an amazing plan b... good luck!!!

Krystle.. stay positive.. I hope the best for you...fingers crossed that everything is okay and you can have children...lots and lots.

I brought two cats with me from canada..one which I didn't think was going to last long before I left Canada...just had a feeling because her brother went last year. Sure enough..she got to spend a few days in her new house before passing. She stopped eating, we had her at the vet. The travel, her age, the vaccination ...I think all factors that it was her time. I feel like its my fault...but the only thing making me stop feeling guilty at times is that feeling I had before we even left... that her time was coming.

Jenn.., we're still thinking and praying for you and I just wanted to say... positive health your way, love ya girl!

  6. Im glad to hear Jenn is doing well. Kayla - I probably will be filing AOS with you.. we're getting a car here this week and still furnishing the place so 1000$ will be a little difficult to have right now lol. Your website btw is beautiful!!

Krystle...loving your wedding photos and Im so happy for you!!

    HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING KAREN!!!!

You and Mathew should go if you want to go that is... you two are going to be married soon and you're right its a good chance for them to get to know him.

Im glad to hear Ancica is in the USA and everything went will!!! Enjoy your many many years together =)

Ney..I hope the family is still settling in nicely =)

When I get my computer setup I'll be on here more..until then mostly just doing facebook updates.

  7. Jenn I wish you all the luck and prayers and good health I can send your way!! Everything will go fine and we look forward to hearing from you soon. xoxo!

Kayla , Mathews move is coming up really fast, I bet you are so excited!!!

KRYSTLE!!!! I hope you have a beautiful wedding tomorrow!!!!!!!! I hope it's all the wonderfullness that you had envisioned.

As for everyone else, I hope your lives are going well and each one of you are happy. For those still waiting interview and doing paperwork, I wish you all the best and it will go smoothly for you!!

As for me, I have borrowed a friends laptop, internet comes Monday and I've been running non-stop still trying to get ourselves situated. We rented a car to get our basic needs done for now...but we need to purchase one soon and find a washer and dryer, or else we're going to be pretty stinky for awhile LOL. I still don't have furniture... lmao.. but our sun porch has a card table... lol.I got most of my military paperwork done except I we need to stop into whatever place it is that gives me medical :P... but I have my ID..yay..

We're getting the professional photos today..so I will post those along with the other photos soon. we're still trying to unpack and Kenyth had to work today..

Still not sure when we're going to apply for AOS.. maybe shortly after a few big purchases, but i'm definitely going to stick with you guys when we go through it.

All the best and I will drop another line soon enough

  8. hello everyone, just wanted to touch base. I don't have a computer anymore, when i first got here we had kenyths - but has since packed and checked out of the barracks. Our house will not be available until wednesday so we are living out of the hotel lol. we have been doing SO MUCH since i got here, non stop running around and getting documents ready...and I'm pretty sure Montreal kept my original divorce records, so when we went to find out about our housing - we had a slight panic, but thankfully - due to this process i had a million photo copies and they were fine with that.

My wedding was last night and I have to say it was the wedding of my dreams. Not too big, very intimate and beautifully decorated thanks to all our helpers and kenyth. All I had to do was get dressed. Everything worked out, I'm officially married and I couldn't be happier. My BridesMEN and my sister (bridesMAID) were amazing the entire day and the days before it.

I posted the some of the photos my dad took, and I will post the professional ones later on when I get them.

Thinking of you all and I made sure to mention visajourney.com on the back of my wedding programs lol You guys were a big part of this wedding happening so I wanted everyone to be aware of that.

Thank you so much...and I will post more and keep up with everything soon enough, but probably not for another week until Im settled.

I wish you all the best, and I will try and keep up from my phone. Jenn I am thinking of you so much and I hope everything works out for you.

  9. Well..my first day here I already had been questioned by PMO.. which would have caused trouble for both Kenyth and I ..but the PMO knew Kenyth and was very nice about it. I broke two rules the first morning here and I had to pull Kenyth out of work because PMO wanted to talk to him...

I don't know any of the rules.. so it makes it even harder. I am getting a course for Family Readiness..or something. It's for civilians living on base...getting to know the terms and rules. I guess it's hard to get use to and settle in right now because we won't get our house until after the wedding.

I don't think I'll mind it too much after I get settled and know the rules... but I guess it is mostly the thought of guns, ID checks, breaking rules I don't know exist..and the fact that Kenyth ends up getting chewed out for it if I do. I also have to be careful, because of the ranks..and what I do.. its just different.. but I do like it.. I think it just feels harder right now because I did just arrive, and on top of the emotions of leaving home and the stress of moving, visa, and wedding... it just makes a not perfect day seem so much worse.

Thanks for the information though, I am going to look up more for wives of the enlisted.. anything to help.

  10. Kayla I am happy for you!!.. Krystle.. I hope the second appointment brings good news..

I saw something about an AOS case being expedited but no one said who or how they did it.. I didn't really have a chance yet to search too much further :(

POE was pretty easy, I was nervous of course.. got my picture, fingersprints, and paid.. they gave me back my list of items I was taking ..and I don't know how much of a search he did, i think he just glanced.. they let me go through with my cat food bag too which was open, i was surprised.

So far.. it feels weird honestly.. almost like I'm on vacation but knowing I'm staying and my family will be leaving soon... base life is.. interesting... and I didn't have a great go at it today...

i dont know.. its great..but im surprised how different it feels.

  11. My soon to be husband is from South Carolina and in the Marine Corps. I understand the US and Canada have an agreement about drivers licence and my license is valid. SC law states that if you become a resident you need to have a state drivers license with SC. However, it says Military Personnel and their dependents are exempt as long as they have a drivers license to begin with.

However, I'm assuming I'd still have to get one because mine is canadian... is that right?

  12. I did what was called the billings method.. for 10 years... without a pregnancy happening. I've never used birth control. Basically you track your cycle... (and not too get too graphic here but...) .. in order for a woman to get pregnant as you know.. she has to discharge the mucus plug..Basically this method is used to teach you how to recognize the fertile and infertile times by whats going on in your body...

    good luck
