Has anyone got an interview scheduled in Ankara?
-
I am a Sudanese citizen My documents are qualified in December 2022 and waiting for interview letter for Khartoum Embassy . However it looks like things are not going well in Khartoum Sudan at US embassy and we haven't even hear any IR1 visa or any other interview for any visa and Wait Times for Embassy it just say ( Emergency appointment only ) . Meanwhile I follow, people get their interview dates at the Embassy nearby in Cairo Egypt and in Ankara turkey and chad going pretty good with Interviews. My question is, is it possible to change Embassy for interview and how I do that ? In this regard, what would be my chance to request my interview location to be changed to different country ? Is it possible? How long would it take? Would it make things worse? I am just looking for options if i can transfer to a faster embassy , if anyone has any good experience to share,i will be very much thankful.
thank you

It takes time for them to review and process your application... it's not instantaneous.
Check under Current Case Review time on this site: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
It says that currently it is taking about 21 days to process NVC documents. So sit back and be patient.
thank you

You should have gotten an email stating you're documentarily qualified (DQ) also inside your message it should say it as well. If you didn't receive anything then NVC didn't review your documents yet. Hopefully within a month from submitted everything you'll get a response.
Also please don't keep submitting new document. The count down will restart.
Thank you but never received any ting yet I hope the next two weeks because has been 2 weeks since I summit everything

Visit this page on Desktop - https://www.uscis.gov/tools/meet-emma-our-virtual-assistant
Scroll a bit down - On the top right, you would notice a pop up that mentions "Need Help? Ask Emma". Click on it.
Type "speak to a live agent". Then choose "Technical difficulties" from the list of options. Usually that works.
Follow rest of the commands (Receipt Number, DOB, Address) requested by the live chat bot.
Hope this helps!
Thank you

Spoke to Emma, case is still in Potomac Center. There processing time says 80% of cases are approved within 12 months and its been over 12 months by 6 days. According to their website, I cant inquire about it until Feb 2023 if I don't get approved in the next couple of months.. Sigh. Life is always on hold for visa stuff...
I have difficult to talk to Emma anytime I say something they send me the link what do I need to do. Thank you

You don't have to contact USCIS. But if possible chat with Emma and find out what happened on that Day so it causes to change the status
can you please tell me step-by-step where I find Emma In the website

This is what I learned when I chatted with Emma. If you ask in the Chat, what happened on that day when it became AR, my case was transferred from NSC to CSC. So something happened on that day that is the reason AR happens on a case. Yours may be in the same boat. Mine was in AR for 359 days, I would NOT relate AR to approval. When it happens again second time, there is a high probability it is APPROVED.
My case "being actively reviewed by USCIS" since March 4th of this year. do I need to contact uscis ? if I contact Emma do you thing it my help??

Use "Ask Emma" (chat window) on the USCIS website to contact a live representative. Once you get a live person, you can ask them where it has been transferred to.
thank you can you please tell me step by step regarding contacting Emma and then getting hold of representative

And how you get hold of representative when you call the 800 number I always get the answer machine and I tried so many time to talk to a representative the computer doesn’t let me do that
