I was happy and surprised when I saw the mail on Saturday, didn't think that was gonna come so fast. I will try either tomorrow or thursday for the walk in Bio. In the letter there were both case numbers for I-485 & I-765. It was only really close to the number on the check, just the last number was different.

My NOA did not come today either. I am getting a little worried because of that NVC letter thing that I got a couple of weeks ago and if that is the cause of the delay. Anyhow it is good so I don't know the case numbers otherwise I would keep on checking like 100 times a day USCIS website LOL

LOL nekomyu, I know that if I asked my husband the same question he would just not know - I have to alway remind him of those important dates )But it is good to practice beforehand of these possible questions. I think because we have been married for such a long time they will not go into too many details, who would wiat around for 4-5 years to approve a petition and AOS. Don't worry 2 much.

OMG Congratulations on hubby's citizenship. I am so glad you'll apply for AOS now. very happy to hear we'll be in lamost the same timeline YEAH!

I sent NVC an email explaining that I was already here and I applied for AOS. I hope that my AOS application will not be returned to me. I will check the I-130 copy and see what I did write excatly and let you know as well.

The I-130 approval notice says: The above petition has been approved. The petition indicated that the person for whom you are petitioning is in United States and will apply for adjustment of status. He or she should contact the local USCIS office to obtain form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence. A copy of this notice should be submitted with the application.

I think that something should come on the mail (either interview date or maybe some other kind of approval) it was only 4 months for I-485 processing tme in California

Nekomyu, I sent my application on Friday April the 30th (mailed it really late) at USPS they told me it should be there by Monday or Tuesday. I hope that will be ok.To my surpise I received in the mail an envelope from National Visa Center on Saturday telling me to pay $70 fee online and Choice of Agent. I am not sure what to do now

Yes, i think the letter is optional. I think it is for people who are borderline in the income qualification so ours is way over the poverty limit. We should be ok. According to the form they really want only last year taxes (transcript or copy of what was filed with W2's). So the 6 months pay stubs are a plus too.

I-864 is a shorter version of the regular without the pages for other household members who earn income (let's say husband sponsoring only foreign wife).

The answer must be "Yes" to all of the following statements to qualify to use Form I-864EZ.

a. I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this form.

b. I am using only my own earned or retirement income, which is documented using IRS Form W-2.

c. The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based

on the underlying visa petition.

Whatever works just make sure you send it on a day thet they will be there to sign. I am doing form I-864EZ instead of the regular I-864.

What did you use to mail the application USPS or Express Mail? I am not going to apply for AP because I know I will be tempted to travel so I am just doing AOS and EAD.

Nekomyu, I did OPT before (Bachelor degree) so I do have a SSN#. I know, SEVIS is not the best system LOL once it kicked me out as completed (took over a year to fix the mess).
