  1. Wow! So it seems that the later you filed, the faster the applications are being processed, largely due to many being transferred to the CSC.

However in the case of ours from November '06 - March '07 - we are stuck, somewhere at the TSC.

My date is February 28. According to the USCIS Website they are processing applications up to Feb 13.

Do they do one a day? Okay, if I haven't heard anything in a week I am going to call.

Then I will get my senator involved...Darn,, where is John Edwards when you need him!

  2. Hi all,

I would like to start a thread for people processing their applications for Removal of Conditions (I-751) from the Texas Service Center.

I have a receipt date of February 28, 2007 and did my fingerprints a few months ago.

Problem is, my application wasn't even "touched," once I completed my fingerprints, and I am wondering whether this is normal.

Anyway, I have checked the processing dates on the USCIS website, but have heard people getting approvals with dates later than what is posted.

Anyone who can add to this thread - please post!

    Thanks,

  3. Hi everyone,

Got a question regarding re-scheduling a biometrics appointment at the Charlotte Application Support Center.

My appointment is for next week, however it is impossible that I make it.

The only option listed in the letter is to check the "reschedule" box and mail the original back.

    My questions are:

    1. How long does it take to reschedule an appointment?

    2. Will they delay me several weeks on account of my request?

    3. Is there any way to walk in the Charlotte office?

    Thanks,

  4. On my biometrics appointment letter it said that if I couldn't make the given appointment, that I could go any following Wednesday at the same time. It gave me a deadline that I had to have the biometrics done by.

I couldn't make my biometrics appointment on the assigned day either, so I just went the following Wednesday.

Check and see if your letter says the same thing.

    Hi,

My letter says that if I cannot make my appointment, that I have to check the box that states this...

... then I have to mail the original letter to the Charlotte Application Center.

This could go on forever! They could keep scheduling me for appointments which I cannot make and I could keep mailing them, asking for other dates.

Will this hold up my Green Card processing?

  5. Hi there,

Today I received a letter in the mail, stating my date and time of my Biometrics appointment in Charlotte. However, that exact date (and time) I have an important commitment which I cannot get out of. The instructions say if you cannot make your Biometrics appt, to mail the Charlotte Application Center and they will reschedule.

    My questions are:

    1. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an appointment rescheduled?

    2. Can you call the Charlotte Application Support Centre or walk-in and reschedule?

    3. Has anyone ever rescheduled an appointment before?

    Thanks,

  6. Thanks for all the responses.

I had to laugh. I called USCIS and asked them myself.

As you can imagine, their response was: "Well, what do the instructions say?"

(If I understood the instructions, I wouldn't have had to call in the first place!)

Anyway, I responded most politely that I needed clarification.

Then they promptly responded "...no, the letters don't need to be notarized."

And yes, I trust them completely!

  7. Good morning,

I apologize if this topic has been covered before, but I am confused regarding the letters friends need to send, in support of the I-751.

Somewhere on this site (the guide, I believe) it states that the Affidavits friends need to write for you do NOT need legal notarization.

But somewhere else, it says the letters DO need to be notarized.

PLEASE help me! Does a notary, or a lawyer need to notarize the letters, or can my friends just write them without anything else done to them?

    Thank you very much!

    :help:
