Well, I am really frustrated and now - worried.
After my biometrics appointment, my application should have least been touched, shouldn't it have?
Well, it never was.
What if my fingerprints were lost, and that is why my application is stuck in the Texas Service Crypt?
-
I think we need to contact our Senators, what does everyone think?
Our Senator, back when we first filed, was John Edwards. And boy, did his office get things moving! There must have been a tsunami at the TSC as suddenly, work was actually getting completed.
Now nothing is happening, and no one knows anything.
Time for intervention?

Hi everyone,
I am really upset, as my NOA is dated Feb 28.
My biometrics appointment was back in March.
Does this mean that:
1) It is going to take one year to approve this application?
2) We will be called for an interview?
-
Wow! So it seems that the later you filed, the faster the applications are being processed, largely due to many being transferred to the CSC.
However in the case of ours from November '06 - March '07 - we are stuck, somewhere at the TSC.
My date is February 28. According to the USCIS Website they are processing applications up to Feb 13.
Do they do one a day? Okay, if I haven't heard anything in a week I am going to call.
Then I will get my senator involved...Darn,, where is John Edwards when you need him!
-
This is really, really pathetic. Why didn't they just send the petitions to CSC?
Why do we have to wait - and WAIT - AND WAIT - for nothing?

Hi there,
Have there been any recent approvals out of the Texas Service Center for I-751's?
My application date is February 28, and I know the USCIS website states they are working on applications dated January 13, however I haven't seen ANY approvals out of the TSC of late...
-
Thanks for all your responses, everyone.
So it seems many of us have applied in February (except for the poor individual whose application took an insanely long time!), and yet, none of us have been approved, received RFE's etc.
Let's hope all our applications get speedy approvals.
Be sure to post a note on VJ when they do!

Hi all,
I would like to start a thread for people processing their applications for Removal of Conditions (I-751) from the Texas Service Center.
I have a receipt date of February 28, 2007 and did my fingerprints a few months ago.
Problem is, my application wasn't even "touched," once I completed my fingerprints, and I am wondering whether this is normal.
Anyway, I have checked the processing dates on the USCIS website, but have heard people getting approvals with dates later than what is posted.
Anyone who can add to this thread - please post!
Thanks,
-
Hi there,
My biometrics appointment is at 9:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Application Support Center.
What I am wondering is:
does that mean my appointment will actually occur at 9:00 a.m. OR does everyone simply show up at 9, take a number and get taken whenever?
Thank you,
-
Thanks very much, everyone. I am upset about something else. We mailed the reschedule notice via certified mail back to the Charlotte application Support Center, and it's now FRIDAY and the USPS website is showing that it STILL hasn't been delivered.
I don't understand why this letter is taking more than 1 week to go a few blocks across town!

Hi everyone,
Got a question regarding re-scheduling a biometrics appointment at the Charlotte Application Support Center.
My appointment is for next week, however it is impossible that I make it.
The only option listed in the letter is to check the "reschedule" box and mail the original back.
My questions are:
1. How long does it take to reschedule an appointment?
2. Will they delay me several weeks on account of my request?
3. Is there any way to walk in the Charlotte office?
Thanks,
-
I have another question: Has anyone had their Biometrics done at Charlotte?
Do you know if I can walk in, or what days these appointments are scheduled. Are they always done on a Tuesday?
?
Thanks,
-
On my biometrics appointment letter it said that if I couldn't make the given appointment, that I could go any following Wednesday at the same time. It gave me a deadline that I had to have the biometrics done by.
I couldn't make my biometrics appointment on the assigned day either, so I just went the following Wednesday.
Check and see if your letter says the same thing.
Hi,
My letter says that if I cannot make my appointment, that I have to check the box that states this...
... then I have to mail the original letter to the Charlotte Application Center.
This could go on forever! They could keep scheduling me for appointments which I cannot make and I could keep mailing them, asking for other dates.
Will this hold up my Green Card processing?

Hi there,
Today I received a letter in the mail, stating my date and time of my Biometrics appointment in Charlotte. However, that exact date (and time) I have an important commitment which I cannot get out of. The instructions say if you cannot make your Biometrics appt, to mail the Charlotte Application Center and they will reschedule.
My questions are:
1. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an appointment rescheduled?
2. Can you call the Charlotte Application Support Centre or walk-in and reschedule?
3. Has anyone ever rescheduled an appointment before?
Thanks,
-
Hi there.
You stated: It's not your case number. Your case number will come with the NOA.
So you mean that is just a receipt number for the biometrics fee, and not the actual case number?
Thank you so much for responding to my post so quickly.
Best,
-
Hi,
I just received a receipt for the $70.00 Biometrics fee (as part of my I-751). On the paper was a receipt #.
I entered this on the USCIS Website however it wouldn't accept this number, stating:
"No case # exists.."
What should I do?
Thanks
-
Thanks for all the responses.
I had to laugh. I called USCIS and asked them myself.
As you can imagine, their response was: "Well, what do the instructions say?"
(If I understood the instructions, I wouldn't have had to call in the first place!)
Anyway, I responded most politely that I needed clarification.
Then they promptly responded "...no, the letters don't need to be notarized."
And yes, I trust them completely!

Good morning,
I apologize if this topic has been covered before, but I am confused regarding the letters friends need to send, in support of the I-751.
Somewhere on this site (the guide, I believe) it states that the Affidavits friends need to write for you do NOT need legal notarization.
But somewhere else, it says the letters DO need to be notarized.
PLEASE help me! Does a notary, or a lawyer need to notarize the letters, or can my friends just write them without anything else done to them?
Thank you very much!

Should I worry that my application was never touched after my Biometrics appointment?
Yay! Something else to worry about....
