Thanks, everyone.
Me thinks I'll believe it when I see it!

Guess what?
Receipt Number: ***
Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On May 8, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Finally! We did it! Wow...I was starting to lose hope. Now, my husband and I can focus on moving....we might be moving out of the south, and heading into New York state to be close to his parents. Didn't want to do anything before the green card was processed.
Thanks, VJ for all your help!

I guess I am getting depressed - and worried - about the lack of response from the TSC.
I wonder what is taking so long?
I will go to my local Charlotte office before my g.c. expires and get a stamp in my passport - just to be on the safe side.
-
Yes, nothing at all from the TSC.
Unbelievable! I really hope I hear good news soon. My green card expires this month.
Do I need a stamp in my passport?
-
Thanks, Tweety,
Our RFE package was received by USCIS on March 13, 2008.
Tomorrow it's April 21...is this abnormal?
:-(

Hi friends,
What is happening with the original TSC bunch?

Thanks,
Well, let's hope that all of us on this list gets approved FAST!

Our I-751 RFE package was just received by USCIS on Thursday.
So - a bunch of us are STILL at the Texas Service Center. A bunch of us got transferred to Vermont, while others flew west to California.
Can I please ask of the ones STILL at TSC, what your initial NOA #1 dates were?
Mine was Feb 28, 2007, with the RFE received by TSC on March 13, 2008.
Unbelievable...over a year! And, might I add, another several hundred dollars in lawyer's fees...
-
Thanks very much for your response. I appreciate it.
Actually, I just found out from my lawyer that our RFE package was sent ONLY on March 11. So USCIS hasn't even received it yet...
I will take your advice and check what is happening with the other RFE's....
Best,
-
Hello,
I am wondering, as I cannot locate a recent thread, whether there are any ORIGINAL Texas Service Center filers who have NOT been transferred to other Service Centres still left?
I was never transferred out of the TSC, received an RFE in January, and am still waiting....
Anyone else?
-
Where is everybody? Did they all get transferred?
No, we are couriering the package to our lawyer on Monday. We just got all the information we needed yesterday. And it was a lot of stuff!
-
Dear Friends,
For those of us still stuck at the Texas Service Center and have NOT been transferred, have there been any recent approvals?
I haven't seen or heard anything!
-
Then there's our case, which was just shunted to the back of the line with the lovely RFE we received...
-
Hi Akwalta,
So sorry to hear of your RFE. At least, we are not alone!
Just get everything ready (our information will take approx 2-3 weeks to gather) and then re-send everything.
Then pray...
:(
Tweety,
You were transferred to VSC? Maybe now, as your file is in ACTIVE mode it will be dealt with promptly.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you..except for the ones that type on VJ!
-
Thanks very much.
I did send bank statements and income tax information before, but they want it direct from the IRS, the bank, etc.
I just contacted the Senator's Office. She said the "red flag" was likely the fact that my name was not on the deed of the house. But the truth is, we were never planning on staying there, so why bother? Now I see why we should have bothered!
:-(
-
A couple of points and questions.
First - they asked for all the evidence I listed earlier in this thread. Not some, but all.
Next - should we blank out our bank account numbers?
I am not on the house deed. As we were planning on moving, we didn't bother on adding me to the deed. As such, I am also not on the mortgage.
Is this going to be a problem?
-
Hi Tweety,
No, actually our online status does not show anything about an RFE. We only discovered this due to a letter from USCIS.
Strange..
-
But who would guess that they would require 12 months bank statements?
And, isn't your bank balances confidential information?
Anyway, we are moving on it right away...
-
I have to say something:
You guys are the best!
I am in tears, and really appreciate the support of VJ.
Thank you...
Now to answer some of your questions:
This is the evidence we originally submitted:
- joint bank statements (with balances "blacked out" for privacy)
- joint life insurance
- lots of photos
- letters from family
- investments showing my husband as beneficiary
- other stuff I can't recall as I am so upset.
-
Hi all,
The letter I was waiting for finally arrived from USCIS.
Was really hoping it was a 10-year extension of the Green Card. Instead, it was a major RFE, requesting the following:
• Your Federal Tax Return transcripts, as printed by the I.R.S. for the last two years
• Actual bank statements for the past twelve months, indicating you and your spouse as joint account holders. Each statement must show the account balance and transaction history.
• Health insurance claim statements indicating you and your spouse as co-dependants
• Utility bills
• Property warranty and mortgage deeds of your current residence indicating they were recorded not just notarized with your local or state government
• Mortgage loan statements and property tax documents of your current residence
We must submit all documents as requested within 12 weeks of the date of this letter, or our application will be considered abandoned.
Is this bad? We have to now contact the IRS, go down to the Deeds Office, contact the bank, etc.
And, we submitted A LOT of information in our original package. This is devastating.
-
We got an RFE dated January 23, 2008
Please update our information. And it's a major RFE. I will post another thread.
Thanks

Hello Fellow and PATIENT I-751-ers....
Our Senator's office called us yesterday to update us on our case. Apparently the TSC is "overwhelmed" with case processing, and, as a lot of their senior staff were off on holidays (for half of January, it seems) things are "slow to get off the ground."
Perhaps we will hear some information in February. For us, after all, it will only be ONE YEAR since we first applied to remove conditions.
-
I just wanted to touch in with all of you in this forum.
It's January 16, and there have been NO approvals out of the Texas Service Center since December.
So, basically half the month has gone by, and none of us have been approved....
Just wanted to clarify...
-
I just called my Senator today. Their office informed me that "another inquiry was sent just prior to Christmas," and that I should be hearing something "within a week of two." Mind you, that's not the processing of my case, but rather, the follow-up to their inquiry regarding where my case is and what is happening with the processing times.
Coming up to one year....
Let's keep the good vibes coming!

Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to all those who have received approval notices.
Ours FINALLY came on May 8 - after 15 months in the waiting!
Let's keep the approvals coming!
