  1. thank you as always :) If he is put on AP I definitely dont want it to be due to something WE could have prevented in the first place...I would rather it be due to the typical embassy reasons ....we are prepared for AP as it seems all men from pakistan with rare exceptions are placed...and pray he moves quickly thru...

We will plan for anything to happen of cos...but plan to be well prepared for the interview letting the embassy do their job.

Right.. Its good that you are ready to be placed in AP... we were too when my wife had interview back in november 2010. but she got her visa in 4 days after interview.

Since this interview is for Male /Pakistani i would also suspect he would go thru some kinda AP.. just pray that its short one.

and as far as you can do.. i would say have everything during interview, even though you submitted them to NVC... ** I remember pakis guy at embassy said they never got out IV visa fee, and i had proof printed when i submitted the fee and when it cleared, so he wanted to see that and than he was OK with it. i dont know what would have happened if i didnt have that proof. so have everything needed and also not needed stuff with you @ interview. and relax its quite simple interview and IO's are 99% friendly and nice.

    good luck.

  2. My wife got two notice from USCIS. One notice is a welcoming letter and the second notice here and another notice is as follow:

Your OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION was accepted and is being processed at our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location. On December 27, 2010, we mailed you a notice explaining this and describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators

  4. I want an earlier date because my husband completed his medical since October 15, 2010. The NVC sent his case file on October 26, which they received in Guyana on Monday. I'm hoping to get him an earlier date before Thanksgiving.

    Dear friends.

Can u Please tell me what happens during medical check-up??? what they do and what tests are performed and what shots are given? My wife is very nervous she has it on 11th november. i myself dont know anything about it. would really like to know.

any complications if she had C-section in the past?

    Thanks.

  5. I have emailed my embassy several times and they usually are prompt with their replies. However, I emailed them recently, on Wednesday to reschedule my husband's interview, but I got no response. Friday was a holiday in Guyana, so they were close. I'm hoping I get a response from them on Monday. Good luck with everything TomD.

Juju's wife... why???u want earlier date? or want date in december?

  7. yep my wife is desi and most of males r layer in this visa journey coz my experiance is most of males dont apply a write visa or submited all tru documents if they submite all documents and tru documents thay a approved if they r laying to interviewer then they r in AP other wise they approved 2nd marige divorce papers and any fraud and other stuf thay submited in nvc and going to over smart then thay r in AP and after in AP they all there bad thoughts put on embassy this is not good if they become a smart then embassy is more smarter then those people whos r in Ap they didnt share a tru things to us only they blame embassy and USA immigrant law.

I think if the documents r compleet and u dont try to over smart then they give u a Visa

O Hellow.... Sohail Rana... what are u saying.???

Let me tell you this... about 95% of pakistani male are put on AP, so YOU are saying they are all lying and have fake documents????? You must be JOKING... DONT you know that all who are put on AP .. DO get a visa... and u can find the proofs right here on VJ.

Just because Officer told you ur papers are OK and you will get Visa , doesnt mean all other's papers are fake... IF you didnt get in to AP does not mean all others are lying and producing fake documents to islamabad embassy. Calm Down.

  8. Hey Waiter that is wonderful news. It looks like you will get the IR-1, which would be perfect. Allows you to bypass the AOS stage.   You have been waiting a long time for this so I don't think you should worry about AP. I know someone from Pakistan that got his wife here in less than a year and he had only met her a few months before he filed. She didn't have to do AP. from reading the different threads on VJ most male beneficiaries are subjected to AP. You just focus on the interview going well and you will have your wife here soon.

Juju's Thank you. I really hope so too.

  9. My husband and I received the packet 4 information this morning at 5:41 a.m. It includes the appointment letter and information on how to do the medical and what documents they received and the status of those documents. Some of the information that TomD posted earlier about his letter is also in my letter.

i also got packet 4 today..... booked my flight..so can be there @ interview with wifey. if she is not put in AP..then coming back as a family in mid december. GOD willing. InshAllah.

oh yeah our 2nd anniversry dec 5th. so wont be cr-1...will be ir-1 right? at port of entry. no i 751.

  11. In following my dear friend Mamamimi's advice I called the NVC regarding our anticipated interview date. I told the lady on the phone that I needed some good news because this was my Birthday. She ask me what would you call good news? I told here having a interview date for my wife in Manila would be good news and she told me How does Nov 3 at 0630 sound!!!! YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day... I cant believe it... My completion date was Sept 13 so try a little math and it might give you some idea of when your interview might be although different countries will have different workloads...:dance::dance: So now I will be calling the wife and telling her as we have not received official new yet. But I be Jammin!!!!:D

TomD thanks for giving us hope... and congrats big time  ...let us know when u get official e mail from NVC.

  12. HI!! Congrats on your SIF!!!!! so happy for you...I called yesterday and was told that they are starting to set interviews and that they will be doing it until October 18...so keep your fingers crossed!! I will be calling again, will let everyone here know!!

Its been 5 days NVC been scheduling interviews? and no one got nothing as of yet... WTH is going on. there is possibilty that due to NVC not scheduling alots of ppl.. the QUE maybe very long and i wont be surprised if most of us waiting for NOV will not get slots for NOV interview. and what about those ppl who dont visit any forums, and waiting... dang i dont think i will make it for NOV interview.
