  1. WRONG....

CR/IR-1 Visa Fee is paid to NVC ($400, the IV as in Immigrant Visa Fee).

There is no additional Application Fee.

At the USEM you will only have to pay for the Air21 Delivery Charge which is 200+ Pesos depending on where it will be delivered.

Maybe the fee he/she referring to is the BDO payment for the DS form, which is $131...

  2. Wow! Its been a while since i visited this thread. And Im so so sooo happy to see everyones progress :-) Its nice to know that some are with their fiance/fiancee already and some got married. I can still remember the time when we are "patiently" waiting for the famous NOA2,venting our frustrations and heckling USCIS people. :jest::jest::jest::jest:

I'm flying to California in March...still a long wait, but this is the sweeeetest wait ever! =)

    Have a great day everyone!

  3. so sad :( i dont know what to do

My fiance called the embassy, i think he paid $18 (thru credit card) for the PIN. Our phone provider at home is Digitel (can't use PLDT NDD here in the office, and can't go out from work to find one)and there's no way for me to call the embassy. My fiance don't have a choice. He called USEM =D

Tell your fiance to call at his most convenient time. =)

  4. i told my fiance to do that but he's kinda busy at the moment, so since it's morning here in the PH i am trying to figure out how to call...:(

You have to call using PLDT or SMART landline with IDD/NDD access. You will not be able get through if ur using other provider or cellphone. =)

  5. For the skype logs, just go to history where you will find your call and chat logs, then print screen and paste it on word document. =) Same with YM if ur using Yahoo :-)

I had the same feeling when i had my interview. Good luck and God bless =)

  6. Got my visa after 10 business days. Seems that there's some delay recently. I got tired of calling Air21, so my fiance called the CS toll free number of USEM, but got the same answer...STILL IN PROCESS...and that answer is worth $18! $#@#%^$@#%$

  7. I'm planning to attend CFO Seminar soon, and one of the requirements is the Immigrant Data Summary (for USA bound), apparently, the packet does not include the said document, or is it inside the yellow envelope?

Would appreciate your response. Thanks so much! <3

  8. I was interviewed last January 11, the consul said i was approved, and got the pink slip. Paid delivery fee at Air21...until now, i don't have my visa. So..i should be more worried than you :protest: Let me know if you got yours, then i will panic =D

  11. hello! usually it takes 5-7days before they deliver your visa but still it depends on the embassy if they will put your visa on hold for further review. I got mine exactly 5days after my interview while I received my son's visa 2 days after his interview. goodluck!

Thanks for the reply =) I got a pink slip so i think theres no need for further review. I just hope to received my visa next week. =)

  12. My visa was approved last Monday, January 11 but until now I haven't received my packet. I called Air21 just now and I was told that they don't have my visa yet. How long does it usually take to print and deliver the visa? I read some post here that they got their visas in 2 days. I paid 200 something pesos in Air21 before i left the embassy. Btw, I live near Manila so i think delivery would not be a problem. Thanks! =)

  13. Hello everyone..Im in US now with my fiance..At the moment we are still in LA but soon to leave for WI...I arrived last night and the PAL flight PR 102 was really nice in terms of food, accomodation, entertainment..The plane has individual tv screen where u can watch movies, play games or listen to music of your choice..wow..food was delicious....my first time to have great amenities on the plane.....

I have bad news and good news though...

Good news is im here now..bad news is my uncle who fetched me at MNL airport and drove me all the way to QC to get my CFO sticker and back to MNL airport in the evening, died yesterday.. Its a shocking news...He was so alive to me..We had great bonding together. Before he left me at the airport he told me to call him up as soon as I arrive LAX..I was so excited and called my parents first and only to find out that my uncle, a priest died just few hours after we saw each other at the airport..i didnt know it was his last day/moment with me...this is really so unbelievable...up to this very moment, its hard to sink in the bad news..Uncle wherever u are now--I LOVE YOU and THANK YOU SO MUCH for being there for me despite the bz church schedule u had yesterday..I enjoyed every moment spent with u esp. when we lost our way to CFO..it was fun while we kept on looking for that place..be aware uncle that I was excited to inform u that Im here with Lane but u already left us. May your good soul rest in peace...Ill always keep the Rosary u gave me and remember God loves you for serving Him well.

My fellow VJ'rs I really have mixed emotions now...Im happy and sad...I cant describe what I feel...Like how could I celebrate Christmas in festive mood when u know someone special in the family passed away recently...and also unbelievable coz we were together just hours ago before I left???

But since I'm already with my handsome and kind fiance who condoled while i was in tears yesterday, Ill try to be happy..I know my uncle is happy for me eventhough he wont be around anymore this Christmas and New Year... I offer this post for you..U also became a part of my journey...

Ill keep in touch with you guys when Ive some questions regarding AOS....I hope u remain helpful to us...

    Thank you

    daisy

My condolences and sympathy =( At least you had a great time together before he left. =(

  14. well... i hope i can sway my mind into a more positive outlook.. but right now.. geez so hard.... even my fiance got severe headache after hearing these things.. more work for him too. I hope it'll be worth the wait as others said earlier.. but what if you wait for long then.. at the end.. denied.. whoa.. then you appeal.. meaning lots and lots of work .. time ..effort and MONEY. :crying: :crying:

I think your case will be okay...they took your passport and its a good thing =) Divert your attention to other things..focus on your relationship.. continue to do the things that both of you do before - have a date, an online date. =) My fiance and I watch the same movie together while on the phone (with the popcorn, fries etc,and lights off =)..just to feel the movie theathre atmosphere) We eat together while on skype. Mushy =) but these things makes the waiting time bearable. Have more fun with your fiance, and soon the visa will be on your hand =)

  15. Have her do the medical ASAP in case something like a sputum test pops up. Also have her go after 1PM tuesday thru thrusdays. Tell her wear loose fitting clothes. Have her make a copy of her passport as they will take it and she won't get it back until after her embassy interview.

She only needs the NOA2 approval letter and her MNL# to get in. She can use her cellphone also.

Be sure she's not in her period. Take 3 passport pictures, 2 ballpens and water and snacks.

Thanks for this info. I will have my medical on Monday next week. How long would it take for me to complete the medical exam on day 1? What about on Day 2? Is TB skin test a requirement?

Day 1 was all of the tests. She said she got a TB test done, not sure how that was done. Day 2, she arrived and found out she was cleared, waited for awhile and got 3 shots and she was done. She went in around 10-11am and left around 5-6PM. The next day she was there from 2pm until around 5pm.

Thanks so much for the reply =) I'm planning to go there around 10am also. I was checking NinJones post regarding her medical experience, and i didn't see anything that she took a TB test, just an Xray. Anyway, thanks again! =)

  17. The difference in ages is not at all unusual, except that she is still just a teenager, so your judgment needs to be sound as you pursue this. That's for you to handle. Only when she is interviewed, (and hopefully you will be there) would the question of her youthfulness be raised, what are the plans for her in the U.S., etc. etc. Good luck.

I agree. I think you should be with her during interview. =)

  18. You dont need a consultant...as long as you have all the documents there will be no problem (i hope). Just read the interview experiences of the VJers here., it'll be a big help. Thats what im doing, i keep on reading...researching in preparation for my interview.

    Goodluck to us =)

  19. So how's the progress with NOA2s, medical appointments and interview? I'm waiting eagerly to hear some good news! :D

Dave's medical is in a week and a half. P3 was signed for by London today. It took them 2 weeks for the box from NVC to be processed and the P3 letter to be sent to Dave. I know of people who sent their P3 letter back on 10/12 and they still do not have an interview date though.

    Hurry up and wait wait.

Boy the embassy can be jerks!

They told Tamara that she gets her Visa but they need one more little form

That shows why she went from her maiden name to her married name

    Can you believe it?

Like the birthcertificate and married certificate and devorce decree doesn't show this??

SO this poor lady now has to travel back to Odessa by train go to her city hall get this little form then travel back to Kiev on Sunday and give this form to this Embassy and then they will release her Visa! (L)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! The good news is that she gets the visa and the extra little step well basically yes it stinks but it's life right?

Soon this whole visa process nightmare will be out of your mind!!!!!

Have a great day and :dance::dance: Dancin in Chi town for your approval :dance::dance:

    Malarie

Congratulations T&G! You're almost there! Your journey will be over soon...and then 'NEW LIFE' will begin =) So happy for you=D

  20.

Tamara Travels by train today to Kiev with her mother

Tomorrow morning or tonight in Alaska, she has her medical exam.

And then tomorrow night in Alaska is her interview!!

Keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes right!!

I was just talking to Wade about you guys today, I'm on a similar time schedule as she is, so I will surely keep her in my thoughts when I get up tomorrow! Let us know as soon as you can how everything went.. good luck!! :D

    Thanks

But I canceled the interview this afternoon

    Am sorry guys

Things just did not pan out

    Good luck to everyone!

Why? What happened? If its too personal to ask..you can opt not to answer. =( But, i do hope everything will be fine. Take care!

  21. It's nice to know that some of you have medical and interview skeds already...and I'm really wishing you the best of luck =) Our case right now is "stagnant" ..not by chance...but its a choice..heheh. We called the embassy and ask if we can have our interview in January, but they told us that there were no January schedules yet, instead they give us Nov and Dec dates. My fiance is coming over in January thats why I want to have my interview on that month (for moral support, lol!) Again, GOODLUCK to those having their medical and interview. Please don't forget to share your experience with us.

And to those waiting for their NOA2s. Just be more patient. It will come sooner! =)
