Hi everybody,
I passed my interview today. It went very smooth, the interviewer said that my oath ceremony will be on July 24th (most likely) but that I should wait for the letter to be sure.
He joked that he was going to called me this morning to cancel the interview. In my application, the year of my marriage showed as 2013 instead of 2010!!!. He laughed and did not make big deal about it. My husband and I can't believe we did not notice, wow, we checked our application so many times.
Anyway,
I was asked to read: Who is the father of our country?
I was asked to write: Washington is the father of our country.
Questions:
1. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?
Speech
2. Who is in charge of the executive branch?
The President
3. If the president can no longer serve, who becomes president?
Vice President
4. There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.
Citizens 18 and older can vote

My online status got updated today. It says that I am scheduled for an interview and that I should receive a notice within 30 days. This means that I did not get any RFE right?

Emotiva, yo lleve tres invitados: mi esposo, mi cuñada y su esposo. Presentaron algunos videos, hicimos el juramento a la bandera, cantamos el himno nacional y la cancion, soy orgulloso de ser americano, y Vimos un video del presidente Obama dandonos la bienvenida como nuevos ciudadanos. Recibi un paquete con las instrucciones para Sacar el pasaporte, Cuesta $195 Pense que seria mas economico. Quiero preguntarles si alguien sabe cuanto tiempo se demora el pasaporte en ser expedido.

Si aplica para la ciudadanían antes del 15 de abril, que es la fecha límite para hacer los impuestos, entonces puede mandar la información de años anteriores. Pero, si aplica después del 15 de abril, es mejor que presente la información del 2012.

Hola!!
Ya yo por acá empezando el proceso para aplicar a la ciudadanía. Ya tenemos casi todo preparado, sin embargo, este año nos hemos demorado un poco más en diligenciar la declaración de impuestos. Será recomendable esperar a que tengamos los Tax Returns del año 2012 para aplicar a la ciudadanía??. Tenemos los del 2010 y 2011, obviamente. Mi rango para la aplicación se abre el 10 de Marzo.

Les quiero compartir la buena noticia: Hemos recibido la aprobación de la Green Card por 10 años!!!
Yo envíe mi paquete al California Service Center a principios de Marzo y fue aprobado a finales de Agosto. Osea que tomó más o menos 6 meses, sin RFE o entrevista. Nosotros nos mudamos a otro estado en la mitad del proceso y al parecer eso no lo demoró.

Hi all,
Today I decided to check the case status online and I found the following message:
"On August 29, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"
I did not receive and email or text. We are approved with no RFE or interview.
We will celebrate once the new card arrives.

Updating my biometrics information. On Tuesday, the office manager at the ASC in Saint Paul, MN told me to come back today. Fortunately, they let me have an early biometrics appointment.

Unfortunately, I was not allow to have a walk-in today. They told me to come back on Friday though.

Hi everybody,
They did not allow to do my biometrics at an earlier date at the ASC in Saint Paul, MN.
The lady guard asked why I was there on a different date than the shown on the letter and added that they don't do such things as walk-ins. I asked her if she could talk to the office manager, she brought my appointment letter to someone at the office who said the same, he later added that if I wanted to stop by on Friday around 2PM they could probably have my biometrics done. He even wrote "no promises" on my appointment letter.
I wouldn't have insisted so much, but I will be traveling a lot for work and I finally relocating to a different state next month. We will be in corporate housing for a while until we find a new place to live so my new address is unknown as of right now.
