  1. Hey,

I am wondering if we will have to fill out the DS-3032 although we are using an attorney?

"Choice of Attorney"...I guess that question is sort of uneccessary in cases where a lawfirm files the papers?

Since I am asking...can somebody give me a "timeline"...

I know it takes about 5 months for the NOA2

    How long does it take...

    1) to reach the NVC after approval?

    2) the NVC to get the case completed?

    3) from the completion til the interview?

    4) for the visa to be send after the approval?

    Mr.&Mrs.K

  2. Hello Hello,

Just received the NOA1 today in the mail (it took 13 days from the date it was sent to the lockbox through regular mail)!!!!!! According to my VJ timeline we can expect the NOA2 between June 6 and June 28...would be GREAT if it came sooner though!!!

    Good luck to everyone!

    Hey, that's great...

June? that would only be about 4 months?sweet :star:

  3. Hey,

ms husband owns his own business and has no health insurance.

I am sick (MS) and we definetly do need insurance.

Can he get insurance now and add me to his plan later (without telling the insurance about my MS at this point)?

Is there an "organisation" or anything like that where I could get information about the different insurances?

Could he get insurance through his business and just add me to that plan without a medical

Are there insurance companies that do not ask for pre-existing conditions?

    Mr+Mrs K

  4. Hi,

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 1 month ago; I am not doing well, will have to quit my job.

Anyway, stress is a big factor in triggering MS-relapses and having a long-distance-relationship is a huge stress factor.

My husband and I now are thinking about trying to expedite our case.

How would we have to apply for it (what form etc)?

When would we have to apply for it (just whenever, once the visa s at the NVC...)?

How often to applications f. expedition get approved?

Does a denies expedition hurt the visa in any way?

I hope someone can help me out with the answers to my questions.

  5. Just got off the phone with him.

He sounds like he is doing alright; knowing that makes it easier for me.

I know it does not make sense to be sad and all that but it is just so terribly hard :( I hate falling asleep without him, I hate not having him here to hold me when I am sad and to laugh with me, tease me, love me.

I am so jealous of everybody who has a "normal" relationship.

Some of you are already done with their visa-journey...do you sometimes miss the days of your long-distance-relationship?

  6. Hey everybody,

my baby left Germany 11 hours ago...after 3 months of being together.

I miss him so terribly bad.

It is gonna be about 6 weeks before I see him next (I know that is not that terribly long considering our situation).

I am so sad, feels like my heart got ripped out. I just love him so much.

He will be in Chicago in 2 hours, and I will at least be able to call him and hear his voice again.

We are turning in our CR1 this week, I hope it will go fast, I wanna be with him so so bad!

Anybody going through the same heart-aches?

  7. alright,

so i always thought we would send in the original paket, get our noa1, noa2 and we then would have to send more documents to the nvc.

then the embassy here is gonna get everything, i will have to send some more papers to them, then get the inviataion to the interview (take certain documents to the embassy)---the end.

but now our attorny said there is only gonna be one huge paket....

    i am really really confused.

I hope somebody can explain this to me ? (i have read the vj cr1 guide, but....oh well, i am so confused!)

    thank you :star:

  8. We are married!!!!! :star:

    It was a beautiful day!

got up, had breakfast together....went to the hair+make up place together, had a blast, took alot of pictures.

By the time my hair was done it was already 10:30am and we had our photo-shooting at 11am.

So we hurried home, changed, had some champagne (hey, it was our wedding day, that was.."necessary"! )....got my beautiful flowers and took picutures. afterwards we went to a little café and had a small lunch.

and then we got married  ...it was just me and my baby, they held it in german/english, it was a very good speech. my baby almost started crying, i had a hard time not to laugh (the court person's super german-english  )

it was a beautiful day, nice and sunny, i was wearing a dress and was warm!

so we spent the afternoon with a glass of wine on the city-plaza, looking at the beautiful church, fountain and people.

had very god conversation, enjoyed being together.

we then went to a little mall and did some shopping (picked up some pictures), people looked at us, smiles, congratulated us.

at the end of this beautiful day we went to our favorite restaurant and enjoyed an awesome supper.

all in all it was a very quiete, very beautiful day.

i am glad we did it that way (just the 2 of us)..that way the wedding really was about us, not about anybody/anything else.

Sorry, hope that is not too boring, i am just to excited!!

    Mrs. K :star:

  9. Congratulations! So, how long did it tke you to get the "permission". And are you going to start a visa journey afterwards? Is he in Germany?

It usually takes about 5-6 weeks to get the high court's permission.

It was a lot of paper work though, it took us quite some time to get all the necessary documents, their translations, Apostille, and the Apstilles' translations.

Yes, we are gonna start our visa journey afterwards. We have been working on the application since September with our attorny, so we are well prepared. Due to personal reasons we are going to wait to send in the application til January 2010.

He works and "lives" in the States.

He flies to Germany ever 14-21 days to spend 10 days with me.

Are you married to your American/German fiancé(e) yet? I would like to read your story, it is so interessting to see how other peoples' visa journey goes (especially if they are from the same country).

Oh, and thanks for all the congrats :star:

  10. Life is good because you know that this lonnggg process will end one day :)
