My Sweetest Vanessa... When I smile, I think of you. When I think of you, I smile. Do I smile because I am thinking of you? Or am I thinking of you because I am smiling? I am so confused! But one thing I know: I am missing you so - But not for very much longer... Only 22 days until we are together again in Bogota & only 26 days until the Embassy, and then it's Conmigo, Contigo, Siempre :-)

Got the approval, Waiting on delivery of the visa, Bought the plane ticket, Drew a big red Heart on the calendar for October 3rd! Happy, Happy, Joy Joy!

Quick & easy. 8am appointment at the new Fort Lauderdale Oakland Park office at 31st St & 44th Ave, only 3 or 4 people ahead of us, Vanessa's actual time IN the process was perhaps 5 minutes or so after a less than 15 minute wait. Hoping the work permit & green card come really soon now that they have the fingerprints...

Less than 10 hours til POE... Should be at the airport in Bogota for the next few hours awaiting a connecting flight. Coulda been a quick & easy nonstop on Spirit, but they won't allow pets & have the ONLY nonstop to Ft Lauderdale :-( Thanks to Aires for being pet lovers, even if your plane connection schedules suck ;-)

Congrats on your successful arrival here in the USA. Hopefully if we get our "yes" at the interview in August, my Vanessa will be here too by September :-)

Going well. Turned out that Dan's regular doctor was already on the list of approved immigration doctors, so she did the forms up for Vanessa for us yesterday, and we sent in our completed AOS package today to get in ahead of next week's rise in filing fees :-) It's been a crazy fast few weeks but we're finally starting to get a chance to slow down and take a few breaths!

I am waiting too right now for NVC to send my file to Bogota. Our files will probably be traveling in the same package, and we might well end up being there at the interview the same day. Best of luck to you both!...

Just to let you know, NVC finally confirmed sending my file on to Bogota on 15 June. DOS confirmed this morning that the embassy now has my file in their system. I just did the "shortcut" e-mailing them the DS2100 & DS230Pt1 forms from the online download of "Packet 3" and got an e-mail back from them within 15 minutes confirming receipt of the forms. Hopefully you will see ...

Looks like our appointments are both on the 12th, so I guess we'll all be meeting each other in the waiting area. Of course we'll all probably be so nervous getting ready, LOL. Here's to a happy result for everyone :-)

Congratulations! We are also interviewing on the 12th, and so is at least one other couple from here on VJ that I know of already. I guess we'll probably see you at the embassy. Hope it's a good day to celebrate for all of us.
