The sweetest message I ever received at 11:30 PM at night

    Post-Decision Activity

On October 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations

I hope evryone else get one of these tomorrow

  2. So as we wait for our NOA2's, I thought I would share my resent experiences with the CSC, E-mail/SMS Txt system. So I received my NOA1 on July 10th, like many started checking their web site almost daily there after. I signed up for E-mail notification, and then SMS txt as well. Almost three months goes by, and nothing at all. Then one day I am in a meeting, and checking CSC web site, and WOW I have been touched. For a brief moment I forgot I was in a meeting, and I kind of said that out loud, needless to say I got a few strange looks, then I explain what I meant, and a few laughs, a stare from my boss, the meeting continued.

So now I thinking any day a response will come, and then a couple of days later my phone (blackberry) makes a sound indicating I have a SMS txt, and then makes different sound indicating I have a e-mail message coming in. So I check the Txt, and yep it says I have an update for my petition, and to go to the web site. I'm nervous and excited all at once. Then I open the e-mail and it says I have been sent a RFE, so from jumping up and down, to a little sad.

Well exactly one week goes by, of course I was driving home for lunch every day, checking the mail for the letter (even Columbus Day lol). It arrives, I have the required document ready to send, then rush to the Post Office (it’s Friday), say express mail please. Then starting this Monday I check the site like morning, noon, & night, then at lunch today, yup SMS txt noise & the e-mail noise. So I’m like ok Txt says your case has been updated, and then the e-mail, well it was not a approval, but at least it said my case has resumed processing, so still excited, but not the real thing yet

So next time I get the, back to back noises, on my phone, I’m guessing it will be D-day, and I’m not sure my heart is ready for that yet.

Good luck to all on receiving your NOA2, and beyond.

  3. I received e-mail that a RFE has been sent to me. I have not received the actual document yet. As I try to figure out what I missed, my best thought was I sent copies of my prior divorces. They were not Ceritified copies, or orignals, and did not include the settlement section. I went ,and got them now. Based on any ones experence would that be a good guess for my RFE.

I would say that the fact you sent uncertified copies of your divorce decrees would be a strong contender for the RFE. Although this is only guesswork at this point. I can only relate to my own RFE which was for the fact my certified divorce decree didn't show that the divorce was indeed final and settled (Scottish law). After a visit to the courthouse to obtain a signed statement from the Clerk of Court that my divorce was final, the petition was approved by USCIS. USCIS need to know that you are legally entitled to marry your fiance/e and this means a certified decree stating that the divorce is actually finalized and settled.

I got the letter, and it was the divorce decree, did not say it needed to be Certified, but I sent the wrong document, as it was the notice of entry of Judgement, and there was actually the same document, but it says final judgement, and that was the one they needed. Express mailed it today, so I hope it goes through now

  5. Mine was touched too! Wohooo!! Delayed reaction. lol =)) I checked USCIS just now and found out that my case was touched on Oct 8. Hope it's not an RFE please. Anyway, NOA2 or RFE atleast it was touched and not lost . Let's keep our fingers crossed that there will be a BULK of approvals by the end of the week. =)

Anyone see a pattern here? hehe. Last week a bunch of us were reporting our touches right about this time. Then we had the notifications either late friday, or early saturday morning. Fingers crossed that is how it goes this week!

    Hugs to everyone!

Lets just hope that patteren continues and many of us receive NOA2 tomorrow or Saturday, and for those waiting they will have the same dream come truevery soon

  6. Ours too was touched today, I hope so very much it is good news. It could mean I can bring my Ann back with me after I send the Christmas & New Years holidays with her.

I actually was in a meeting and checking the USCIS web site as usual, and there it was i kind of let out a big YA nosie, and everyone in the room looked at me like I just won the loto, (lol), well for me it felt like I did.

I wish the best of luck to all of you out there like us, hoping and waiting everyday is our day to shine :dance::dance::dance:
