  1. OK, great to know that USICS gets the 'A' file and has those physical exam results.

Problem is, many civil surgeons "Won't complete another doctor's work" the secretary says on the phone, so they won't just transcribe/complete your vaccination record and give you the sealed envelope.

I found one civil surgeon who performs the full exam for $95, so i will have that as a plan B.

AOS is a bear, but at least we are together and not an ocean apart while completing it.

There is a CS in San Diego/Mira Mesa that will transcribe the vacanations, and put in in a sealed envelope for $25 USD. Contact info is Dr. Annabelle Razon-San Angel 9190 Mira Mesa Blvd San Diego, CA 92126 Tel: (858)689-1814. I had several others insist on the full exam.

  2. What confuses you?

The paragraphs you posted confirmed what Mari Joe told you, it all depends on what is written on the ds-3025. Could you tell us which box is checked on it?

Actually it is very confusing as if you follow the paragraph(s) you still most lickly will get a RFE, this problem is coming up almost everyday in a new thread, maybe it should have it's own thread so everyone can list their experences

  3. Schedule the interview for a Monday, then arrived in Manila the Monday before that to do the medical Mon/Tues, then you have several days to do the CFO, getting sticker later is easy. The key to your time line is receipt of the Visa. if they do not allow you to a pick up the Visa/Passport (~ 2 days), then it can take 5 to 10 days to arrive at your hotel, or her house. We did the first part in 8 days with no problem, and we had the time to wait for the visa, so start to finish it took a total of 16 days and we had Visa/ CFO stamp, and were good to go to fly to the US. I already had her ticket booked, but I would only have had to pay a $100 fee to change the flight date.

  4. It seems many (including ours) received this RFE, we went to a CS, had them transcribe the vaccinations, fill out the I-693 sections related to the vaccinations, and sent the sealed packet back with the RFE. (we paid $25 for this service), but several other CS I contacted required a office/doctor visit & charge before they would consider this.

The update on the web site for us was "they received our response to the RFE, and have started processing again." I do not know if that means we satisfied the requirement, or another RFE will come soon. I hope the later one is the case.

It does seem that they are sending this RFE out to many, and as I have read about others that have received & done as we have, it seems to have been successful, but your mileage may very.

  5. We received a RFE, and even thought we sent the vaccination worksheet from the Medical examination. The REF is asking for a "complete" new medical examination. It says "you have indicated that you last entered the US as a K or V non-immigrant. Please submit a properly completed and signed copy of the medical exam, conducted overseas on form DS-2053, if you do not have you must complete a I-693. Well it seems funny that they know we had to have had atleast the medical exam, to be approved in the interview, and the standard procedure is they send those documents directly to the Embassy, so a very good chance 100% we do not have the orignal.

What a rip off, as to fight it seems like a risk not worth taking, at best it could delay the approval process :wacko::wacko::wacko:

  6. I got rfe in the mail asking for medical examination, after reading the instructions on the I-693 i realized that they just send those rfe's as part of the process, so i answered with nice letter pointing to the part that says i don't need to have medical examination as it was done within a year from the date i filed for AOS, couple weeks later i got email say that my green card was ordered for production ..

good luck for everyone who's waiting!!!

I am wondering if some of the medical RFE’s are related to the notation on some of the medical vaccine forms, that some vaccines could not, or were not given due to reasons like not enough time interval, or next dosage to be taken 1 month later etc, means they are actually looking for the follow-up vaccines?

Has anyone got a specific RFE for just the Vaccine update?

  7. In VJ forums, I came across a petitioner whose beneficiary was denied at the interview because the beneficiary nor the peitioner met each others parents.

As that is not a requirement to be issued a K1 visa, I doubt that was listed as the true reason for the visa denial. In many cases it is almost impossible for one of both to meet the other families before receiveing the K1 visa. I was able to meet my Fiancée family, as i did come over to her country 4 times before the interview, but my Fiancee would have most likely not have been allowed to enter the US on a tourist visa, as she is from a third world country, and if she did try to apply, and listed the reason was to meet her fiance parents, the CO would have fell on the floor laughing, before he stood back up and denided the visitors visa request.

  8. Just a word of advice, send your fiance through the visitor's line and you go on to the citizen's line. You'll get yelled at (like I was) if you bring her through the citizen's line.

We did POE at LAX, and I brought Ann Marie through the USC line with me, no problem. They did notice we only knew each other ~10 months and made a comment, but stamped the I-94 just the same.

  9. It's not so much about fault as it is about a break down of communication. I generally regard somebody in that position to be highly qualified in what they do. That may not be true in reality, but my initial approach is that I will respond to them as if they do in fact know what they are talking about, particularly knowing that they have the authority to decide on my case. Arguing with a CO is like arguing with a cop. It's fruitless. I'm sorry that she had a bad experience, but IMO, he was merely doing his job.

Yes 100% agree, also saying the CO was just a bitter old man, seems very judgmental, as they too have a job to do, in just a few minutes they have to make decisions, that impact other people life’s, and at the same time protect the US against fraud, not a easy task. I think it says somewhere the US embassies’ policy is that granting a visa is not a right, but a privilege. So check the attitude at the door, and then focus on convincing the CO it’s all about love.

I too had a little history, as I have already filed two petitions from the Philippines, in the past, (1) K1 & (1) K3, I fully expected extra questions. So I came with my fiancée to the interview, and brought stacks of proof of our relationship, and as we too met on the internet, we were fully prepared to discuss that in detail. They ended up asking for only the I134, and looked at a couple pictures, and 5 minutes, and a few simple questions and we were out the door with the pink slip.

From reading the story it is too bad that the situation got like that, but I am sure you’ll get the visa, just maybe they will sit on it for awhile, and for that my heart goes out to you both, and to anyone else this happens too, as I stayed up late at night many times worrying that something like that might happen to US.

  10. are they actually gonna ask for original copy of the divorce paper???? why???? It's a seminar!!! aren't they supposed to just educate, talk about going to US or something????

They think they can ask for anything they want, and can be a real pain the A__, besides divorce paper, they ask mine, what size underwear I wore, copy of my birth certificate, copy of my passport, and requested a letter signed by her mother, stating her observation of me when she met me. They are a piece of work

  11. The true answer is they both suck, I have had experience with both. The first time was in Manila, and was very bad for my then Asawa, even though we were already married they were recommending that she get an annulment, and start life over. (funny 7 years later she did fall in love with a local Filipino, and decided to stay in the Philippines) but they made her go back 3 or 4 times before they would issued the stamp, and she did not live close to the place.

The second and most resent one was in Cebu, even though she had the letter of permission from her mother they made her come back with her mother, and have her mother write, and sign a letter of observation, for when she met me, and how I interacted with my fiancée and the rest of the family. A key question that they asked her, what is the size of my underwear. They also told her as we, have a age gap sex will not be good for her, and tried to explain in medical terms ( LOL my fiancée is a RN).

So I really wonder what is their true purpose, I thought it was to educate them about the potential dangers of being in a foreign country especially without family or friends to contact, and how to contact people for help if you get in trouble, instead of trying to decide for them what is best for their life’s with out knowing anything about the other person involved. I could even understand if they mentioned things to look out for in the foreigner like tempers, or other signs of potential habits that could be bad.

Reality is it really depends on the actual person that does the interview, as my Fiancée’s best friend went on the same day, and was ask very few questions, and was given her certificate, and both of our situations were pretty close, age gap/prior divorce.

  12. My Ex Filipino wife, is now thinking about remarrying in the Philippines, and wants to know if anyone has been through the process. The situation is that we were married in the Philippines, and 7 years later on a visit home she found her new love of her life, so I filed and received our US divorce, (I am the USC), and sent her the final decree. So she should fall into the Family code that will allow here to marry again. Has anyone been through this process, and know the key steps that she needs to do for this. (only helping her so she will stop driving me crazy lol)

  13. I am looking for anyone who has specific information on the K-1 interview procedures in Manila. My fiancee has her interview scheduled for 4 January and I will be there also. For my sons us citizenship appointment we were both part of the interview (of course). However I am hearing that I will not be able to be part of her interview?? That does not sound right?

My question: are both Fiance and Fiancee able to participate in the interview? I am going regardless and will force my way into it if they resist but I am just curious of what happens.

    Thanks for any info!

As already mentioned it is up to the interviewing officer. We just finished ours, and the lady CO had no problem with me being in there. She asked me two questions. What type of work do I do, and what cause the breakup up me & my ex wife.

I saw maybe four or five couples there that day all were let in during the CO interview, 1 was ask to wait outside for a few minutes then let in a few minutes later.

  14. My Fiancee fessed up to me on the phone just earlier, she comes from a poor family for Hilongos Leyte, she left and went to Manila to find a job, when I met her she was working at a waterstation. Now here is the kicker, she said its been on her mind for a very long time and wanted to tell me this so she can clear her conscience. During our conversation out of the blue she told me that she needed to tell me something, she said she used to work at a BEER HOUSE and would have sex with men for money, she claims she only went out 3 times till she no longer can take it as she was starting to lose respect for herself. Should I be affected by this ? should I lose sleep over this ? right now I am in a world of confusion and so much thoughts are racing thru my mind.

    WHAT DO I DO ?

WHAT would you guys do ?

Maybe Waterstation is the name of the Beer House she worked at lol, and I would certainly ask her for a discount on your next trip.

Actually if this post is for real, use your head 'the big one", and judge her for what she is today, not for what she, may or may not have done in her past. She may be exactly who she said she is, a poor girl that made a mistake in her life, but you sound like you already made up your mind that she is no good now. She could also be playing you, and is now pulling out the bait, to see how big a fish you really are, as this whole story sounds fishy to me.

I also loved the movie Pretty Women, and she got her man

  15. :dance::dance::dance::dance:

We went to the interview this morning, and we were there at 6am and out the door at 9am. A very nice lady interview us (she let me stay with my sweetheart the whole time), she ask very few questions to Ann, and ask me what I did for work, and what happen between me and my ex before, then said Congrats you have been approved and welcomed Ann to the US. We will have a nice dinner tonight, and then wait for the Visa to arrive to go to the US, currently planned for Dec 26th.

    Interview, NOv. 19. 7am,.

YOung Lady consul. She seen my CENOMAR and Divorce Decree and put OK on both docs.

and she said. Your k1/k2 is approved and Welcome to America again.

    Thank you all!!!

That was the most interesting thread I have read on this board, I am sorry I did not find it earlier as it keep me entertained for a long time today. It looks like you were able to get past the (nuts) as in nutmagnet, and some of her following, (attracted by the magnet) (I understand why she uses that nick name lol) It seems they have nothing better to do in life than to criticize other people, and give out as much misinformation as I have ever read in a forum like this. What a load of C—P, that stuff was.

I wish you both the best of luck in you future together, and unlike some that posted on this thread that believe they have never done anything wrong in their life, and therefore think they are free to judge others, it is good to know that the USEM focused on the true issues, and not some morals, that others think we should be judged by. Most of us do understand things happen, and it may even be out of our control, and it is so nice to know we are allowed second chances at finding happiness in our lives.

For those passing your own moral judgments, if you have not taken the test for US citizenship, you may want to study up a bit, on what principles this country is founded on.

I also wonder in a country that does not allow Divorce, why is it having mistress seems to be ok, including the ex president, but then that is their business not mine.
