Not true! The K-3 is a 2-year Multiple entry visa.
You are mistaken. The K-3 is not a Multiple entry visa. Once in the US, if you want to leave you MUST have applied for AOS and hava an AP document for re-entry else the K-3 visa will be considered abandoned by the USICS.

The brown envelope he received with his visa. This must be presented to the immigration officer at the POE.

I have flown your exact route back to the States (Manila - Nagoya - Detroit) several times. Each time I checked my bags in Manila but did not touch them until the POE (Detroit). At the POE, you pick them up after clearing Immigration. Go through customs. Re-check. Move to your next flight. Then you will not see them again until your final destination.
Safe travels.

I dont think there has been any approval on GC sent after 4th of May(for cases that were transferred to CSC). i observed this from VJers timelines. If this is true, i hope there'll be lots of approval this week.
I have noticed this too. So much for "faster processing" by being transferred.
-
It means you are still under "Initial Review" but like the previous poster said, it is likely that you will not have an interview. Our case was transferred to the CSC in June. We are still waiting for a decision. Many whose case was not transferred and filed around the same time as us have already had an interview and received their green card. Even though the letter says "for faster processing", it is not necessarily true.
Good luck.

Was this when you entered the POE using the K1 or were just visiting while it was processing? You didn't offer this information up & he already knew???
Thanks for the responses!
Can you tell me how this went at your POE? I'm worried about my fiance getting turned away for fear of him staying (although if we've filed the K1, I would think that would show we're trying to go about things the right way...)
Thanks for your help!
This was when she entered on her K1. Are you referring to travelling while your K1 is being processed? If so, I do not know if the immigration officer at the POE would know. I initially thought you were referring to entry after K1 approved. Sorry.

In our case, YES. He reminded us to ensure that we were married within 90 days.

My wife's EAD card arrived 10 days after the approval email. Good luck.

After reading these posts from yesterday, I thought that I hadn't checked USCIS in a few days. Hubby got his EAD card last week and was able to start working right away, so it's been kind of a hectic week figuring out our new schedules.
So I logged on, and it says as of today, August 5, his GC was approved and sent to card production.
:)
:) So within 30 days we should have the green card in hand.
What a good day - green card approved and he got his first paycheck too. Both are so exciting I can't even explain, and I didn't end up filing the AP for the party in Canada on September 11 so now we don't have to. We should be able to cross the border back into the US on Sunday the 12th using his new green card!
Congratulations!!!

For us, it took 10 days from the time of the email to receiving the card in the mail.

CSC seems to be very slow.
The interview route seems to be faster!!
I agree. I have noticed this too. Those of us transferred are being processed slower. I have no patience!!

You should definitely be concerned about the dent. I would talk to the wife about being more careful when she parks in the driveway as she might have hit the prop!

Interview Today at 11:30
Good luck!
-
Received AP and EAD today!
Congratulations!!

Yes. You can tell them that you need to keep your passport and it will be OK. My wife (fiancee at the time) needed to keep her passport after medical in order to pick up her police clearance from the Japanese embassy in the event it came early. It was no problem. She just brought it with her during her interview. Good luck!

Wow!!! So fast for the EAD card delivery. My wife's EAD was approved last Friday. We are hoping for delivery next week, but today would be great. I haven't checked mail yet.
-
We got a second EAD production notice today as well. I have the same question. What are they doing to our file with all of these "touches"?
But of couse we are very happy that our case is moving along!
-
Woo Hoo!!
EAD and AP approved today!!!
Now let's get that Green Card rolling.
Congrats to all approved so far. It seems that the May approvals are picking up.
-
Hello all! We received yet another "Touch" on our AOS this morning. But as usual, no updates.
Congrats to those who have been approved!

We received yet another "Touch" on the I-485 (AOS) but still no update. So frustrating!!!
Resolving host issues

I was experiencing a similar issue last month with my connection. It was a channel issue in the router settings. I live in an apartment and assume I was getting alot of interference. I went into my router settings and switched from "auto select channel" to setting it to Channel 1. I read that in the US it is recommended to use either channel 1 or 11 on modems. Once I hard set it to Channel 1, I have not had any issues.
I hope this helps.
