Hello Dennis&Dane...i just wanna ask if they asked Dane if she has an appointment at the embassy already before she had her medical?I am going to have my advance medical too by next week bec we are stuck at NVC also..Im just curious if how do they know on when do they send the result of the medical if we dont an appointment yet.Do we need to call them and let them know the schedule of our interview once we have it?Any replies would be appreciated.Thank you and God Bless!!

Hi, I think you have no worries.. Dane went for the first day exam last thursday... but she told me that there was many mant people there... so after a long day on thursday they told her to come back tuesday..(5 days) well that was yesterday she got her immunization..4 shots... was a little sore afterwards... but passed with flying colors... also...as a side note she was suffering from a cold and coughing at the time too... but still everything was ok... and also she asked why tuesday and was told it was because of the large amount of people that were expected on monday and friday... so rest easy.... -

I guess I'll never know for sure whether it made a difference, but...- I faxed my letter to the Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs on Friday afternoon;
- Was told Monday afternoon that the AP reviews of our case were complete; and
- Was told today that NVC had sent out the file to Seoul.
BTW - Did you get any notification at all email or phone call? I know you checked by calling but I'm wondering if they also call or e-mail if they have the information on file.No, they didn't contact me.

Called today at noon while on my lunch break, I could barely swallow when she told me, "The petition has been sent today to Manila." I asked her if it gone from NVC or is it still there? She just repeats in a gruff voice the same thing. I thanked her and hung up. I haven't changed my time line because Martina reads our VJ homepage and I want to break the good news to her. I work in an Ombudsmans office for the State Department in Health Services. I can truthfullly say that when we get a congressional inquiry (State Reps) we move it. I did fax my Washington Representative and called his office, two days later I'm out of NVC. Can't say if that was the cause for sure. Come to think of it at my office constituents don't know if the congressman was helpful or not.
I checked my email and still NVC has not emailed me. I would recommend to keep calling NVC since the email notification lagged (at least for me)
Crazyman,mavrick64,dhc,chrismel, and sweetgurl you are all in my prayers. I want you all to feel the joy i felt when i heard the news that Martina and myself closed the book on NVC. Thanks Allie for your encouragement for me to be patient.

hi, there! based on my own experience, yes, you need to get NBI clearance under your previous married name. they will surely look for it on your interview.good luck on your journey! God bless

We are also stuck at NVC. Our NOA2 approval was August 23 and NVC received our case last August 28 and until now we are under AP.All we have to do is pray.
I called yesterday morning and was told by NVC we were still in AP and did not hear from the Romanian Embassy either
So we are going on week 4 and think this friday is close to our 30 day mark so here is hoping something breaks
I also got home last night and checked my mail - I had letter from my congressman - When I sent my fax in to his office - I went into great detail outlining where we were stuck at - what processes we had been though - our timeline - etc - was whole page. So I get this letter and it has highlighted that I need to call USCIS and schedule infopass and we are just barely out of their processing times :$
They did not even read my fax - I called and asked for the intern that handles this part of his office here and of course went straight to voice mail but left her a pretty hefty voice mail. Then after I hung up - decided to call back and talk and told story to the guy who answered the phone so maybe get someone else involved
You know I am really getting tired of seeing the waste of tax dollars here - in one way when I started this process I had no clue the immigration laws had changed so much since 911. I have earned great respect in many ways for the people who work these jobs as is a great responsibility to handle this. And I know they are just like us - underpaid, understaffed joe blows working for a living.
But at same time feel could be more like a McDonald's or something - where when you go though the drive thru for the 40th time and still do not get your ordr right - you can go inside and demand to see the manager !!

$300 is already a big amount here in the Philippines if you know how to budget. My fiance started giving me money this september bec i resigned from work for many reasons and he is giving me $140 dollars a month(for my share in our apt, food,daily needs). I really budget it bec i dont want to ask money from my fiance. It will be better if you talk to her in a nice way. Good luck to you and i hope all your questions will be answered soon. God Bless!!

I'm planning on moving to the US asap. Should I quit my job a few days before the interview or should I wait until I have the visa?
In my case..i quit my job because i want to spend time with my family, i didnt have time spending with them bec of the type of work i have. i would suggest you should wait till the visa in hand..Goodluck!

Hi! You can marry her there in USA but not here in the Philippines. I am annulled and going to marry a USC. I also have a friend who had his divorce there in USA. He was divorced but still need to do something here in the Philippines. He didn't have his annulment here in the Philippines anymore but he submitted a divorce decree in his atty and set a pre-hearing, it's like an annulment but you will not call it "annulment". Read the below statement. tell your fiancee to talk/inquire to a lawyer on what she should do. Goodluck!
What is required for the Filipino spouse divorced by his or her alien spouse in order to remarry is to submit the divorce decree before the National Statistics Office so that it will be recorded in their marriage certificate.

I think it's true because one of the requirements in getting NBI clearance is police clearance. So...once you have the NBI clearance it means that you have the police clearance.

Hi! First of all i would like to congratulate you.. As what i've read and what i know, there is no need for you to wait for the packet coming from the embassy. once the consulate received the docs from NVC you can call the embassy and set an appointment for the interview but don't forget to download all the forms that you will be needed. I and my fiance are still waiting for the NVC to forward our papers in manila embassy. NVC received our NOA2 approval, August 26.(sigh) Good luck guys! Always pray to God and he will answer your prayers(our prayers). CIAO!

Hi! you will need your NOA2 and appointment letter from US embassy. The guard will ask for ur NOA2 and letter of appointment and i also read here in VJ that some of VJers....when they had their medical the guard asked for the NVC letter as well..

UPDATE!!!!! Still no hard copy Noa2, But I called NVC today and was given A MNL case number.. they said it had not been forwarded to manila yet but to check back next week! Also they said they received it on 8/26/09 my approval email was dated 8/23/09 so only 3 days from USCIS TO NVC that seems pretty quick after waiting 139 days for the noa2!

August 23, 2009: Approval notice sent by USCIS(online at USCIS site)

August 25, 2009: Another touch(no mail yet and no email)

How long did it take to get your NOA2?? i would like to know
my fiance sent the k1 forms to uscis last April 4 and they received it on april 7 then we had the approval on august 23 btu still waiting for the mail. it took more than 4months, almost 5months..
