  1. ...Am I crazy for wanting to call CSC/USCIS to get an update or to check on the file? I mean I recognize the fact that they have not touched it or anything ....but still? Has anyone else thought about calling??? lol

    :blush::innocent:

    Can I join in ??

I have been reading your comments and getting support from them for over a month guess I'm a little shy :innocent:

I'm driving my Tamara nuts with phone calls and webcam so maybe I need to speak to some others

    Anyone ever been to Alaska?

Welcome T&G. What part of Alaska are you from? My brother and his wife both have strong ties to Eagle River, but I've never been.

As far as CSC is concerned... yeah I'm not loving what is going on either. :( I dont think calling would help. Maybe sending them some coffee might??

    Fairbanks, Alaska

Been to Eagle River several times

I'm a little scared Tamara has never experienced winter before!!!

And the way CSC is moving she will be coming to Fairbanks in December and thats -45F

    :wow:

Even more amusing to think of the fact she might get a winter wedding too! Imagine that, never experienced winter and then may end up married in the middle of it

Of course you can join in! We'd love to have more people here, like it's been said in the thread before; the more, the merrier! We're kinda like one big, impatient family here, lol! Welcome to the july 09'ers thread! :star:

  3. Ugh.. I am not having too good of a day here today. I've just been sitting here reading everything you guys write, because it's helping me to feel better. I think I'm feeling depressed because Wade is going home on friday.. just thinking of it makes me want to break down in tears. Silly, but I just hate the fact I will not see him until all this is 'over' I keep reminding myself that I should be happy because most of you are without your partners right now - but still it's so friggen hard! I hate the thought of taking him to the airport - and seeing the plane take off. I usually leave as he is boarding because I don't want to see him actually take off into the skies.. and far away from me. Bahh.. I'm sorry guys, don't mean to dump all of this on you guys - but don't really know where else to vent! Other people simply can't understand the process or what it really means to be parted from the ones you love, you guys however can! It's so irritating for me right now to see couples around me who complain about small annoyances they have with the one they're with.. at least they have someone next to them who can annoy them!

.. anyway, I'm going to jump off the complain train here. Happy thoughts!

Igors is moving (sorta.. slowly), we are in september and soon, very soon, we will all be with our honeys!

  4. Hi!

We are July filers for the CSC!

We expect to receive the NOA2 by October, just crossing fingers it will be before that.

I've been watching the Igor's list and seems like they are going pretty fast!

    Go CSC Go! :)

    Good luck to everybody!

    Maria

Welcome Maria! Here you can suffer along with us

I do hope CSC will continue like this.. I just checked Igors and we did another huge drop! So exciting and I can't wait until we see the first approval for a july filer! We're also supposed to get our NOA2 in october according to the timeline here, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, although you never know. Let's just hope we all get approved in a month or so. Wouldn't that be even more exciting!?

  5. Morning Julyers! Another day, hopefully more progress too! We've done some big leaps lately on Igors list, even though it seems as if the estimated timeline dates were knocked back some. Just keep your chins up, because we ARE moving forward and there's not a whole lot that can stop us now that we're rollin' (well except from RFE's  )

Every day is a step closer to the day we get our NOA2s, our Interviews, our POEs and our reunions!

    GO CSC GO *drum roll*

  6. Good morning to you too!

I agree with Sean, the more, the merrier! You should all come to Seattle and we can hang out in the rain :D

Although I don't mind traveling either, in fact Wade's mother lives in Cali so I know we'll be going there to visit as well. M and F's comment about the dream last night actually made me laugh here, so thank you! I am glad I'm not the only one who let this process follow me night and day! Regarding the POE, I'm also coming in alone. Wade's here now and both for financial and practical reasons, I'll be doing that part of the journey by myself. I'm also sad to leave some of the things in my life here in Norway, but it's all worth it for the life I will be creating with Wade in the US.

Haha that's true - we will all always be july 09'ers!

Are you kidding me??? I totally live and breath this process right now :-) and yes I am making myself sick over it! :)

You guys and my other half are the only people I can vent to - my friends are tired of hearing about it and somehow it is hard talking to people who don't know anything about the process! Lol

I was thinking of meeting him in europe and flying to the states with him - but so true - practically and financially speaking - it is not an easy thing .... I'm sure he can manage just fine on his own :-)

I say we all celebrate with a drink the first day we actually see the first july filer get their noa2 on the list! Omg I might just scream that day!!!!!

That is so sweet :star: I read your post to Wade and he just said you're as bad as I am, lol! Yesterday I decided to try and pipe down so I would not think of it so much.. let it wait over the weekend when CSC is back on track again. Well.. that failed big time! I can't stop thinking about all of this, and it's so nice to see that everyone else is feeling the same way! I'm with you regarding the drink as well, would be awesome if the first july filer get approved before Wade leaves Norway but I don't think it'll happen quite that soon. We're almost there though and I am so excited!!

  7. Good morning to you too!

  8. yeah and even more upsetting is trying to budget there.. going to McDonalds and its like $20 for a large meal! we did find a few good local places round the corner from my apartment in Oslo that sold beer for 26 NOK so all was not bad!

Sarah has an apartment in Greenwood just outside downtown Seattle (like 6 miles) so we will probably stay there until we get sorted and I start working out there. Just sensible finacially.. I have found a few new places I like in the area. However we want to move to Tampa Bay in a few years after Sarah has finished at University since she studies part time at U of Washington.

Well Olympia isnt far at all.. it would be a shame to not at least pop over and say hi! And I miss glog too!! (sorry i cant find the actual letter with the 2 dots over it) :-)

Yes, Wade did ask me where the $1 burgers would be found.. afraid it's not in Norway, lol! I've been to England a few times; New Castle and London and like it a lot. I find everyone to be much more polite across the pond ;) Gløg is something I will miss in the US.. so perhaps it would be smart to have my family send some for Christmas now that you mention it, tehe.

You guys won't be far away from us at all, I'd be a shame if we didn't say hello to each other before you head over to Tampa Bay (and I could stick you with a bottle of Gløg too! ) It's always nice to see other people having long term plans, funny how we kinda put life on hold until we get to our POE x)

  9. I actually really enjoy this group.. I love getting an update each day of how everyone is feeling.. funnily enough it is usually the same as me lol...

I'll def keep this up to date throughout the whole journey and also interested to see how you all get on after!! I just have such a good feeling that we'll all get processed in time and I really hope no one is left waiting...

maybe in the future we could even sort something like a reunion lol in a neutral place?? just an idea and maybe it would be fun!?

I would simply love that! I do hope we all keep in touch, even after the dreaded NOA2 wait. I plan on hanging out here throughout this entire journey, and if I know myself well enough.. I'll still be lurking here later on too  I can see Wade and I coming to a reunion with you guys, think it'd be lots of fun ^^

Speaking of, I see your local office is in Seattle, Seanyb! We might not land too far away from you, as we're going to live an hour away from Seattle :star:

yes im positive i'll still be around on here after it is all over... this site is truly amazing! Where abouts will you be staying Kristin? I actually spent 2 years in Norway working for a company called Think Global... loved it out there apart from the price of beer!! :-)

I do agree, the site is awesome and I can't believe I did not find this thread until now. Much like you, I also love our little group! Wade's living in Olympia right now, and after I get there we will relocate somewhere in the area.. we will need a bit more space, but don't want to go and change the address right now. So that's a project we'll be doing once we're finally together. How about you guys, where in the area do you live? ... and yes! The price of beer (and everything else!) is truly horrible here, haha. Wade's been here often, but still never got used to our prices.. he almost had a heart attack when he had to spend nearly 200 dollars at a chinese restaurant for starters, dinner and dessert only :innocent:

  11. Well this topic is getting me interested because we did not exactly send them a 'thin' package. It's organized and put well together, should be easy to read through with plastic pockets and all that.. but we do have more than a few pages. We were thinking we wanted to eliminate the whole 'fraud' thing by showing them that we have a genuine relationship with frequent contact, visits etc

  12. Right.. I dont think the NOA2 dates mean nearly as much to me as POE dates. I also hope we track that info and get a chance to encourage each other through interviews!

Very true, Jewel. POE dates are where it's at! the day we're all living for. Also, with the different embassies, someone could get their NOA2 after someone else, but finish the whole process and be with their loved one first, because of how long it takes to get an interview at different embassies. Some are 5 days, some YOU set the appointment because there is virtually no wait! Wish that was us, Jewel  London's not the worst at 65 days...but it's no 5!

I agree that we should stay in touch to support each other through interviews. I love our little group!

And again, thanks for the list. It rocks!

Good Morning Everyone :) Just got into work and caught up on our forum!

Speaking on what happens after the NOA2 point - is there a way of tracking things after it leaves CSC?

I think when it comes to the lebanese embassy - I have been on their website and all it says is when packet 3 is complete to email them to set up an interview - seems like it might be a relatively fast process there.

I just have run into other forums where people are able to see when things arrive at the NVC and when it leaves and when it arrives in the fiance's embassy....i was just wondering if that is something that is done online or by phone?

Guess what everyone! we are almost at the midpoint of September!!!! yayyyy

ok...have a good one!! Check in with everyone later

Good morning to you too, although it's already 6pm over here

Regarding the time after NOA2, I once came across a thread here at VJ that I decided to keep for later on. Perhaps you'd like to take a look too? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=202339

Not 100% sure how it works, and of course have not been able to test it out, but it looks interesting so perhaps it's something we all can use to check on our cases.. and yeah! We're almost in the middle of september, that's so awesome!

The days can be so slow but it sure helps to have all of you guys here during this process :luv:

  13. Just checking to see how everyone is doing. Hanging in there?

After a frustratingly slow start to September, we moved TEN SPOTS TODAY!

    WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Surely that deserves some groovin'.

I was excited to see lots of approvals get entered today. I hope there's more on the way. Maybe tomorrow morning a lot more people will update their timelines.

I got bored and organized anyone that has posted more than once on this board in order by NOA1 date. I also put which embassy.

Zahid, you had your NOA1 first. I hope that means you'll get the NOA2 very soon! I understand the frustration for sure!!

Aw, now that made me smile as soon as I logged in here :star:

Let's hope we see some approvals soon, hopefully won't be too long if CSC continues to move like they did yesterday. Well this was just a quick post before I run off again.. I still got Wade here for a week so we're going to go for a lunch downtown and see if we can get some more photos of important sites here in the city. I'd like to bring some to my interview ^^

Hugs and best wishes for the weekend to you all!

  14. Another few days until CSC will get back on the horse again I guess. I'm happy with the progress at Igors list over the past day though and hope they will continue like that next week.

So have any of you planned how you will spend the first day together after your loved ones arrive there? I've to assume the flight will take its toll, then again.. all the anticipation and excitement by finally being together (L)

  15. Goodmorning July filers! Let's hope for a productive day at the government, guys!!

It's real cute to read the last couple of messages from Jewelx and M and F. I know exactly how you two feel! I am not the one who is doing the petitioning, but I can tell you it does not feel any different really. Whenever a situation arise, I'm thinking.. 'Oh well, it just got to last another few months and then I will be out of here, and it won't even matter!' The heating system here where I am living is really so-so, and probably could use some repairs and whatnot.. winter is ahead and normally I'd be out there taking care of it. Now I'm just thinking that I hopefully won't have to be here all of the winter.. so I'll just manage a little longer. Everything is pinned on 'When I get there..!' You have no idea how many times I hear myself say or think that

I really can't stand the thought of perhaps having to wait 6M+ for the NOA2, or the idea of getting RFEs - and I can actually worry myself sick over these things. Also I keep stressing things like the interview, the medical, all the paperwork for the next package etc etc! Yesterday I even called up the Immigrant doctors here in Norway to quiz them about what will happen there, what I may need to bring and such.. LOL. I am O B S E S S E D

Anyway, have a great friday.. last day before CSC checks out, so let's hope they'll do some hard working before the weekend really kicks off!

  16. I know all of you (including me) are excited with your wedding preps. But, have you checked IGORS? A June 15 filer got his/her NOA2 in Sep 8! Mine was dated July 15...can i expect my NOA2 on Oct 8 also? *wishfull thinking*

Im really excited for all of us! Cant wait to see a post here saying they already got their much awaited NOA2 =)

I just checked Igors just now and noticed today how we jumped 5 numbers from yesterday!

We also got our NOA1 dated for July 15, so we should be seeing our NOA2s back to back I hope x)

I just hope CSC will buckle down and do a bunch of work the rest of september. I am so excited for all of us!

Wade and I was overlooking things for our 2.packet (yes.. a bit ahead of ourselves, LOL) and he managed to tell me that he want me to make another copy of the I-129f package we mailed so he can bring it back to the US with him  He want to look through it, read our e-mails, watch the cards, photos and everything else in a put together state while waiting for me to get there. I personally don't really want to see more paperwork right now, I just want to see an update with CSC, tehe. Impatient as I am... :innocent:

Have a nice september 10 to all of you july-filers!

  17. I prefer seeing some kind of daily activity on Igor's list - and I know I am not good in the patience department but not seeing anything since 9/7/09 is frustrating!!!

We need to celebrate for whoever the first July filer approval will be!!! How exciting! That will pretty much get the ball rolling :)

I just feel like it is just around the corner!!! I think we will start to see someone from July group at least starting 9/15 no???

Wish you all a great afternoon :)

Ohh I know, I know. Here I was thinking I am the only one impatient, lol! I check the list every day, silly as I am. The last days it has been no progress.. slow progress before that, and yesterday we were even bumped back one day in line! How can that be.. not making progress is one thing, backtracking is an entirely different story!

We'll just have to try and be patient, friends, it's soon our turn!

Let's just hope we don't get lost in the 6M+ system or get any RFEs!

  18. Welcome Zahid1982, it's nice to have you here with us! :star:

lol @ LoveWaits.. I would so pitch in on your sweets and baskets if it just would help! (L)

Thanks for the happy 09-09-09 wishes, RoughSweet! All I can think every morning is how we are now one day closer until we can be with our babies. I feel I am back in middle school again :innocent: You're absolutely right about the love too, you know you're deeply in love when you're willing to wait 6 months until you can see your honey again! Also reading about your wedding (and everyone elses too!) really puts a smile on my face. Wade here wants us to spend a weekend all alone after the wedding in a lodge somewhere either in the mountains or in the woods.. and just like you, he also would like to have a fireplace and all that romantic stuff around ^^

I'm just really, really excited about everything - even though waiting is tough. It lets us think, dream and be filled with anticipation for the life that's awaiting us <3

  19. We've talked about Vegas but I don't want to do a "shotgun" wedding. Her father will come here from Russia and my parents will also go so I want to do at least a formal ceremony. An outdoor wedding would be great but I think it'll even be too cold in Vegas in January :) So we're looking around for ideas but Vegas keeps popping up, I guess because it offers the most convenience.

In any case we don't want to waste any time :) We've been ready to start our life together 6 months ago! :D

My issue is being able to plan a wedding when I don't know what the date will be - and putting something nice together...So we figured we would do something special just him and i for the k1 purposes and then do a ceremony (church style) down the line when we can actually plan and put everything together.

I also would like something special for him and I, and it seems as if we will be putting together something small and romantic, and possibly later plan something larger so we can have some friends and family around. I just keep having the 90 days limit ringing in my head, so our focus has mostly been to get married as soon as we can :innocent: Like LoveWaits, I do like the sound of an outdoor wedding, but I think Seattle will be too cold for it at that time of year.

Tonight I will be sitting him down to try and look through some more details for the wedding.. we have not nailed down anything specific and I feel it's deffinately time.. although HE seems to have all the time in the world

  20. Thanks for the welcome, LoveWaits!

It's amusing to read about the mentioning of a wedding in Vegas. Wade and I have been considering this ourselves. We just want to be married fairly quickly and we won't have too many family members there either. He has also a thing for a little place about an hour away from where he lives, so we're kinda tossing both options around right now. He is far, far more easy going than I am and does not seem to be stressing when, where and what the wedding will be like.. unlike me who'd like to iron some details out already now!

I'm just dreading next week as he is returning to the US then and I won't get to see him until I hopefully get the K1-visa myself.. it's those moments I try to tell myself about the people out there who won't get to see their loved ones at all between NOA1 and NOA2, and it helps. A bit.. :innocent:

I'm just happy I found all of you guys! We can wait, comfort and cheer each other on!

  21. Thanks a bunch for the warm welcome, Roughsweet x) .. and yes, you are right - it is suffering, although right now I can't complain because I got Wade right here with me now, visiting. He's going back to the US next week though and I am not much happy about that. Just hoping for a quick, quick process here. For all of us! I sure hope you're right about our cases regarding the 'touching' It would be great if next thing up from the USCIS is adjudication!

    Go september, GO!
