Thanks loveaboo! Do we just pay at St. Lukes? or is this the step that we have to pay at the bank first... Im pretty sure we have to pay at the bank befored the interview right, and then they stamp the DS-157?

Can anyone tell me where to find the list of things needed fo the medical appt in Manila? Ive been looking but cant seem to find it! Thanks guys.
-
OK so, made our interview appt! Could have had it Nov 15th, but Joseph will be just getting to the Philippines then and we wanted him to have time to get the paperwork he needs like the CENOMAR and his NBI Clearance.. so I made it for Dec 21st. His medical is Dec 14th. So, if all goes well he can be here right after the new year. That is exactly what I was hoping so he can see his family for the holidays. Few more months this will be over with. Im so excited we finally have an actual date to look forward to!
Goodluck everyone on your journey! <3 Megan

Hey Everyone! Soooooo Here is my story for today! Called DOS again because its Friday.. the woman said we have been elidgible to call for an interview as of 10/9 because Caracas electronically sent the packet to Manila! If i woulda known that ealier I would already have a date by now! This is crazy that we've been waiting this whole friggen time. I was under the impression (because everyone I've spoken to has said) tha we have to wait till the file physically gets to the embassy. UGhrrrrrr! Well, Ill be calling Manila tonight when they open and seeing if we can make an appt! Ill be so excited if I can actually have a date to look forward to! Fingers Crosssssssed!! for everyone!
ok, just realized tomorrow will be SATURDAY there.. ugh.. more waiting.

I just went through this.. They sent our file to Venezuela, because my fiance was living in Aruba.. instead of the Philippines where he is a citzen. We had to e mail both embassys and like they told you request that they can take your case. Venezuela immediately forwarded our file to Manila electronically the day we sent the e mail. It slowed the process down about 2 months, but we have finally straightened things out. The embassy will get back to you about 3 days after you e mail them.

CONGRATS SCOTT! Tomorrow is Friday! yaayyyyy maybe ill have some good news too? Im thinking after the new year for us.. but thats Ok I work on Christmas anyway wouldnt be too fun for him all alone..
-
Wow Scott, they really called you and asked for your ex wife? For what! To try to trip you up or something? Thats nuts...
Little update on me.. wish i had one! Our case is still "in transit" to Manila. Since Oct 9th... I dont know what the hell takes so long for it to get there but its really driving me nuts. I was instructed to call the DOS every Monday and Friday to see if it has arrived yet.. ughr.. is it Friday yet? My last phone call on Monday was pretty interesting the woman on the line informed me that we have an interview on November 10th! So, I asked.. where? She said Venezuela.... bummer that if he were able to go there we'd be almost done with this... so for THEIR mistake.. we're waiting an extra 2+ months... She also said to e mail Caracas and inform them to change Josephs address "in the system" So, yea e-mailed them on Monday and still no response.. so.. so far I have zero information.
Seems like everyone else's cases are moving right along.. good luck to all of you. Stressfull to see people who were approved after us already be in the interview process.. im so jealous! I wouldnt mind waiting as much if I knew it was safetly at Manila.. but oh well thanks for letting me spill my guts here.. goodnight <3

OK, Thanks Frank. I do hope they send us a new letter... since the packet was forwarded from Caracas to Manila.. not from the NVC. ugh so confusing.. we kept everything they have sent us so I guess not too much to worry about.
-
Ok, just a quick question.. what letter from NVC are you talking about? THe one that says the approved I 129-f has been forwarded to the consulate?
I have that letter eventhough our NVC Case # says CRS eventhough we are going to MNL... hope thats ok?
The packed is on its way there.. DOS told me to call back once a week to check if they have received it yet, it could take up to 2 months..
Thanks, Megan
-
Ok everyone wanted to update you! I emailed Manila and they wrote back this morning saying that the case has been forwarded to their Office.. It left on October 9th! So, the countdown is on... They said up to 2 months for it to get there.. BUTTTTT, crazy me just called the DOS and played dumb and double checked that it definitely has been forwarded... it was
DOS said to call back once a week to track the case.. so, Im thinking it will be there before the 2 months! UGhhh what a mess this was, but im so glad its on its way! Joseph is planning to be back in the Philippines the first week of November, so I think everything is going to work itself out. Just a minor speed bump.. Its ok.. gives me a little more time to plan for his arrival...we have our whole lives ahead of us! Thanks everyone for your support.. Much love to all of you.
-
Scott,
I am with you on this one! Feeling like we're waiting for the NOA2 again. I have no answers.. no one has replied to my e mails. Ugh its so frustrating.. I just want to make sure we are in the right direction here. I WISH our file was still at NVC so I could tell them to send it to the RIGHT place!
While I was in Aruba Joseph formally proposed though, with a beaaaaaautiful diamond to boot. I wasnt expecting it.. it was so sweet-- now just makes it way more difficult to not be with him. Enjoy your time with Thuy.. it makes it so much easier waiting when your together.

OK, here is my story maybe someone else has been through this? Our 129-F was approved on the 22nd of Sept. It went through NVC, was there less than a week and forwarded to the embassy.. in Caracas Venezuela! My fiance is currently living in Aruba, only for 2 more weeks, then he is going to the Philippines where his home country is. Which is why we requested from the start that we have our interview in Manila. I emailed Caracas and they informed us that they did have our case, and can forward the packet via pouch, to Manila.. which will take about 90 days! I spoke with the DOS and they said that usually it will go back to NVC, and they will forward it to Manila, but first I have to e mail Manila and ask them if they will take our case..
I have e mailed both embassys and am still waiting on replies. Has anyone needed to have their case forwarded to a different embassy than it was sent to? This is crazy that NVC's mistake is going to cost us 3 months... If there is anything I can do in the mean time, please let me know.
Thanks..
Megan

Hey everyone! Im back from my visit.. sucks to be home without him.. especially because while I was there trying to deal with e mailing both embassys and trying to figure this out. I spoke to the DOS and they said it will take 90 days to transfer our file from Venezuela, to the Philippines.. MORE WAITING. THey said it will probably have to go back to the NVC before it can go to Manila. I e mailed Caracas with Manilas address, like they requested and still no response... I have no idea where we are in this process anymore. It totally sucks. I was instructed to e mail Manila and ask them if they would take our case. Still waiting for a reply from them also.. Is there anything else I can do at this point? Either way, my fiance will be in the Philippines in 3 weeks and thats where he is going to stay to wait this out... If anyone has any information at all of what I can do other than wait for a reply from the embassy, id really appreciate it. Thanks so much guys..
-
What is the form, or where do I find it to transfer? The only way it says availble to talk to Caracas is via e mail and I e mailed them Fri, the wait time is 3-5 business days for a reply.
Thanks for your help.

hi guys im reaching out from Aruba!
I HAVE REALLY BAD NEWWWS! I got a letter in the mail while i was away saying they sent it to the consulate... IN VENEZUELA! Everything we have ever put on the papers says manila... scott, can you track our package it went out on the 28th of this month.. i want to call them but want to make sure they have it before i do it... THANKS
-
Scott,
How many days do you have to wait to ask if its in additional processing. Our case arrived only yesterday so probably wait a few more days before i call back right?
-
NVC Recieved our case yesterday! I called them and the mean old lady told me not to call back for 2 weeks! HA! yea right, called back this morning and got the case #! So, now this is the number we use on all the forms to bring to the interview, am i right?
-
Hello Everyone!
After a year of waiting since denial of petition (K1) and several months since we appealed, my fiance received a letter from USCIS stating that our case FINALLY has been reconsidered...Anyone who can advice if this is good news and something to look forward to???
Thank you in advance!
Good Luck! My prayers are with you two! If you dont mind me asking, why did they deny you in the first place?
-
Soo... I called the NVC for the first time today! Spoke to a representative and I gave her my EAC# and she said she has nothing in the system.. so I guess its not there yet. She said to me " Its pointless to call this early since your approval is only dated Sept 22nd. Wait atleast 2-4 weeks before calling back" Thats bull...right?
So, when I do call back, I just want to see if they have our file, and what our new case # is? Is that what im supposed to ask? She really wasnt very nice, and I waited on hold for about 15 min. I wasnt too happy with that phone call! I hope every rep isnt as rude as her!
-
Yea I checked the link you posted, (thanks for that) It doesnt say anywhere that any of the forms need to be sent in ahead of time, just says what to bring to the interview. So, maybe someone dealing with Manila (or who already has) can help me with this. When I get to Aruba on Monday we are going to fill out all the rest of the papers he needs and we will be good to go. (hopefully!
)

HAHA Scott if it was even that easy I would have sent whatever they wanted!
OK, so now I have to go to the town hall and get a birth cert! Its always something.. Thank you!
So... is it true we dont even need the P3? Dont we have to send some paperwork in to them before the interview? Now, im getting confused. With his move from Aruba to the Phils for the interview, I want to make sure he gets the P3 if it has instructions on what to send in right away.

CONGRATS! Do you have any tips for us? We will be there very soon!
