    Embassy asked for updated docs plus new medical.We sent that in now they want another birth certificate. I pray that is the last thing they need so they can issue the visa.

    Still waiting for a new interview. After our case was reaffirmed we have been in AP 6 months. Lord please help us.

    USCIS is reaffirming our case thank God. Now to get ready for another interview at the embassy.

      I am from Michigan also. My husband and I are still preparing to file for CR1 but reading your profile and EAbbas makes it all seem so depressing :( I don't know why the embassy takes 2 years in AP for pakistani husbands but I read about pakistani wives getting the visa 10-15 days after the interview. Good luck to you. I hope they turn to your case for a speedy resolution.

    The embassy in Pakistan is closed 4 days this week for Eid and Veterans day. I am very sad about that. It's another week of AP for us.

      Oh that is a long AP that must've been hell. So i am guessing your AP is over at dos but it's being processed now at the embassy? That part usually don't take that long, wish it be over for you soon with visa in hand

    AP is short for Administrative Processing. Most men from Pakistan are put in it after the interview. It's where they do more security checks on the beneficiary. It can take many months.

    I miss my hubby so much. He asked me to move to Pakistan if our visa is denied after waiting so many months in AP. I love that man with all my heart.

    Hubby has been in AP for 10 months with no end in sight. Lord help us to stay strong through this ordeal. I pray that they give us the visa soon.

    Jim, I just wanted you to know that I contacted my Senator's office again and was very firm but polite. They are finally going to inquire about our case at the Islamabad embassy and get back to me.
