nothing yet lynn12....i will be calling NVC again 3rd week of february coz that what they are advicing me to do.... so i still have 4 more days to hear another judgement.... either a good one or another news to wait...

Did you get Interview date?? I have friend from philipines which PD is Aug/2007...completed case at NVC on Oct/18/2010. He hasn't receive any interview date yet. You need to understand that current priority doesn't mean that you get the interview. You need to wait until DOS assigned visa number for you! Every country has monthly qoata. If philipines qoata already filled up...current priority date doesn't do to you. Talk to lawyer or some expert who can assist you better than me. I already been in same situation before so i know how it works!!

Rey, nice to hear from you again.. u were right... will just let Mitch annoy and bug the NVC for her case to have a schedule sooner... was really thinking positive that she will have the sched by Feb...but i felt disappointed too..anyway, waiting is the game here now..hopefully Mitch will not get tired with the waiting game. She deserve to be with her family soon and so does everyone here...

Just as everyone is saying here..hang on. ur actually almost there.. am pretty sure u will have urs by March pohon... kept bugging them and I know you got disappointed as I do too with ur case but really, it will just make u stronger.. patience is a virtue...i just cant imagine how u feel.. but it will be over soon... I think you're in retrogressed for country availibilty. I am sorry for you. but Too many philipines are waiting according to annual IV waiting list published in Nov 1, 2010.

I still cant get over of my greatest news that i dont have an interview date yet.. cant still get over... and im seeing some of the people from here that it took them just 2 weeks to have their interview date after case was completed.... time, timing, and luck is really playing with my family life..... to some people that filed january and was completed in 4 months... their family is already here and already enjoying the green life of US.

not happy with the whole process at all.... not happy.... i thought all this time, life is that only thing that is UNFAIR...... now i have to add the TIME.

Raymon, its just 1pm and ive been dialing nvc like crazy but still cant get through.... then, when ill have my luck then they will be telling me to call back tomorrow coz they are close due to bad weather.... what a delaying tactic!

I was calling for the whole day yesterday and i cant get through... and now that im trying to call them again, it says they are close due to the bad weather.. then again, im gonna call them again tomorrow... this thrill is soooo bad that i cant sleep well.... having all the "what ifs" in my head...

Mitch, im glad as well that your case was completed. Don't be bothered with the retrogession issue, you will not be affected. Some point in time you will have your Sched either late January or February. MAybe advise hubby and son to take the medical in advance.

omg!!! youre still here... and really true to your word... isnt it best to have their medical when i get the interview sched already??? when ill be calling on the 17th and they will say that my interview will be in feb then, thats when they will have their medical exams...

This is a good news for us all!!! This means that Feb. visa bulletin will not retrogress anymore because they will not give u an appointment for Feb. 2011 if your priority date is not current by Feb., right? This really brings a new hope and a new beginning this year.... May all our PD be current soon... God Bless us all!!!

1 Question : I have already submitted following original docs to NVC - POlice Certificate, Marriage Cert, Birth Cert. Do i need to arrange those original docs again and take with me for Interview?

OMG! youre the only one that i saw with same PD as mine. did they email you your schedule already? the operator told me to call NVC on the 17th. how did you get yours??? and we completed our case almost the same time. pls enlighten me... im sooo anxious to call on the 17th... but if you dont mind, what is SIF??? im not fond of abbreviating! hahahah... by way, im just curious, what took you sooo long to finish your case?

from which country is your beneficiary from? are you gonna have your medical exam soon? maybe end of january of first week of feb?

There will be no interview rest of this year 2011. I just got an email from NVC this morning. here is the email:

The NVC is unable to schedule interview, as it is not current by the cut-off dates established by the Department of State. There is no visa number available according to this file's priority date under this visa category.

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, as amended, controls visa categories, priority dates, and the availability of visa numbers. The petition will be retained at the NVC until a visa number is available. The petitioner, beneficiary, or attorney of record will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing this petition.

We all get FF***ked.

Guys i know this is a bad news for all of us... My husband talk to a NVC operator and told him that they are processing Jan. 2008 for appointment interview for the month of January 2011, i can't stop crying coz i really expected to have an interview appointment by this week... Anyone here have any idea about this? i really don't know why operators in NVC has their different versions regarding the PD that they are processing right now for January 2011 interview...

hi sgam, what is your PD? are you still far from 2008? i have a 2007 priority date and im even still far from reality. they just received my ds-230 dec. 2 and i havent heared anything from them. im expecting a case complete by the end of this month and maybe interview date by feb. but all of these are my own plans.... what matters most is the plan of NVC. hahah... God knows our cry... he'll be there to wipe away our tears!

hello fellows, i did made some research about this retrogression issue with visa center and they way i took it is---

for greencard holders who are:

1. DONE/FINISH before DEC. 1, 2010 with their processiong at the NVC and already have the date for interview with the american embassy, you will not be affected.

2. STILL processing at the visa center and your priority date is between 2008-2010, then that you have to wait for your date to be current since they push it back to

2008.

3. having the PRIORITY DATE OF 2008 AND MAYBE LATER wont be affected at all since, bulletin is showing that your priority date is current.

guys, dont rely on this, make your own research too..... im just sharing of how i undestood all of these.... im still here and still trying to finish all these and to think that my priority date is JULY 2007. i believe i wont be affected by this but i know its a sad news for those who trully are expecting that they will be done with nvc soon.. lets all keep swimming, keep swimming, keep swimming till were all there at our own respective distinations....

am so happy for u lebanese girl...but I think u still need to apply for the Social security card though u said u signed him at his DS230.. dont waste anytime..go to ur nearest Social security office and apply for the card that way u can include him on ur insurance then eventually when he get his card he maybe eligible to apply for a driver's license..
