  1. APPROVED AND VISA WAS GRANTED!!!:dance::dance: they say it might take 2-4 days for the visa to arrive and he can take his PDOS......

my big hug and thank you to all my friends here at VJ (you guys know who you are ---special mention to twulf, raymon, yna, khanl, lebanese gurl)

this website has been my attorney, my 24/7 friend, my mentor, my guide, my unloading system for my heartaches.... where "almost" everyone is willing to give the best idea and tips that they can to ease the hardship of being away from my loveones... i cannot thank this site enough...

it all came to a point were we are even friends in the real word. Yna and i have been communicating with each other every now and then just to catch up with our everyday living, and im so thankful that she's one of the "bestest" that got me through this journey.... looking back, everything was just a piece of art that the world wants us to go through to value this relationship more. it took us time, money, tears to finish all these. "stress" took a big chunk of my bad travel which i was stressing out too much with anything that comes with this process.... lesson learned? 1. relax, 2. take your time and not to be in a hurry of turning in documents that needs to be rechecked, 3. as long as your presenting all the documents that are needed and the relationship is true, real and honest? you'll get through this. it may take time for there are some instances that cannot be avoided but still.... as i always say, there is always an end to every run. 4. praying about it for God/allah/yaweh/etc only knows best... claim his promises and believe it!

i will still be here and continue to give whatever ideas and experiences i had to whoever is asking for it.... be strong, believe in whatever you have and you'll be in the same boat as i am today ... very happy and very excited.

  2. This is it Mitch, judgement day is tomorrow. You be find, just tell hubby to bring home the bacon.

Cant wait for the news tomorrow.

Mag rosary naka sugod unya mom..

Hi Raymon, thanks for stopping by to support me.... nagakurog naku... im at work now, but cant even focus... inoras nalang gyud. mabal-an ra naku ang balita in 6hrs... and that will change my life... will reroute my journey to a family that is living happily ever after.

  3. Keep it up Mitch..

I bet you are counting the minutes by now.. hee hee hee

Hi Twulf, i know... i cant even sit still here in my desk. been checking the clock and my phone for thousand of times now. its 2PM here in the US (5AM in the Philippines) now and i know my hubby is already in the Embassy for the last step of this journey.... ill give you guys the news as soon as ill get it.... im sooo excited, anxious, and more nervous.

    thanks for checking in TWULF!!!

  4. :hehe::wacko::whistle::help::crying: :crying:

CSPA wise: your age should stay as is from the your petition date till you get your interview date but your case is kinda complicated. im not sure if they will consider your age thinking that you are turning overaged 2 months after your mom filed the petition.

i would consult a lawyer and just to ask them if you qualify for CSPA. its not that the lawyer will work for your case but just to clear things up so you wont be misled to something that you wont have.... just a thought.

    good luck!

  5. Are you going to be around after your approval in a few short months to keep the thred going/updated?

im already approved and is excitedly waiting for his interview this coming tuesday. visa will be there in 2-3 days and he'll be here right after his PDOS! im praying its not gonna take a month for all these... im aiming that he'll be here JULY 8

i will stick around as much as i can to help answer questions and all... been checking this site twice a day for 2 years now and its been a part of my daily routine and i believe it will be hard to take that out.

  6. Great. you are close.

Hey I told you, I'll be here. Just dont get around to catching up with VJ, so just kinda out of touch with where everyone's case is, but your I shall follow and will try and be here more often.

Hang tight, you ride is about get over and another one is going to be starting soon (with your life amongst you family here in the US). :-)

i always thank you TWULF.. always!

we got the results yesterday and it was GOOD. Thank God for all the guidance and blessings..

this is not the end of my life's journey... i know this is just the beginning of a happily ever after.

  7. 1 step down! my lovey-dubs and son had their medical yesterday (7am-2pm) and they were asked to be back on friday for immunization and the results. i hope the results will come out just fine and accordingly with God's blessings. they did not ask for his passport (my hubby still has it) which i believe they will do that on friday.

he said, the medical review was not as bad as he expected. it was fast and organized! just be on time, be healthy and you'll be fine.

1 more big last step and this journey will come to a STOP.

  8. Just 2 weeks left.. yeah.. well i guess within a month you'll be with you family... yippee

hi twulf, im soooo happy seeing your name again in this thread... you are trully keeping your word that you'll be here often to check on us that are still hanging in there to get all these done and over with.....

hi KhanI, what do you mean by saying youre almost done... almost done with what?

but anyway, hang in there... we all got this remember? and also, we are throwing a big party when were all done!

  9. Hey Mitch.

  10. Hi,

I'm not really new to this forum 'cos i've been following in a while. I need you guys candid advice on my situation before i put in I-130 petition.

This is my story, please don't get bored. I got my green card through diversity visa lottery in 2008, though my former wife is the principal winner and we activated it early 2009. Later, things got out of hand with us and ended in divorce mid-2010, after having lived together in UK for 4years and a year in the USA.

Just after the divorce, i met a lady back in my country (Africa), she got pregnant and we just had a bouncing baby boy 3weeks ago. 2weeks ago, we had our wedding done but not a flamboyant one.

Now to the scenario, I had put the below together for the I-130 petition for my new spouse and son but I need you guys to please chip in one or two things before I file I-130 when I’m back in the US by month end.

i believe you're fine for now... they will let you know on what else is missing or any documents that they will ask for proofs.

mail your application now at least you're already in line!

  11. hi mitch , just new in the process.. I am a wife of a LPR too.. petition has been approved in just 94 days from noa1.. I don't know how long would our priority date be current but hoping and praying for visa bulletin's big jump..

try making your timeline so we'll see on where youre at right now. USCIS took 2 years to approve my petition and twas forwarded to NVC to wait for the bulletin. i know its a long road to travel and who knows when these all gonna end but hang in there... the rolling ball will come to a stop at any point.

  12. There was a massive influx of European immigrants to the US in the early 20th century. Most of them eventually became US citizens. They referred to their country of origin as the "old country", but they considered themselves to be Americans and they considered America to be their home.

When you become a US citizen you are required to swear an oath.

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

Read this oath carefully. You will be abandoning all loyalty and allegiance to any country other than the United States. You will be agreeing to support the US constitution, to fight in war if called upon, or serve in a non-combat role. If you cannot swear this oath and actually mean it then please do not become a US citizen.

The absolute worst reason to become a US citizen is because you want to help other family members immigrate, and help siphon money out of the US to send back to your home country. If this is your intention then please remain as a permanent resident and a guest of the United States, but don't become a citizen if you don't consider yourself to be an American, above any other nationality.

been reading it so many times and trying to find a thing that is prohibiting us to call our country of birth HOME.

you should tell them to add that in.:rofl::lol:

like maybe : ANYONE WHO IS A US CITIZEN SHOULD TOTALLY FORGET THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, CANNOT EVEN CALL IT A HOME! hows that?

  13. I filed an I-130 for my husband in Aug 2010 and as of this month it will be 9 months and I have not received an I-130 approval. This is over the normal processing time and I have contacted USCIS and all I was told was to wait for 30 days to receive an answer from them.

i don't know what to do. Should I wait the 30 days? Would I even receive an answer from USCIS? Should I call the USCIS headquarters instead? SO confused!! I have waited 9 months and haven't received an approval yet, this is ridiculous.

    need advice

    thank you

    is it for F2A application?

just want to make sure coz to me, it took 2 years till they approved it at USCIS and then, they forwarded it to NVC.... just want to make this clear that im talking about f2a apps.. (LPR wife who is petitioning husband from the Philippines)
