hello , i want to know if it's possible to send scanned copy of translation of( marriage certificate, birth certificate) to the nvc or it could cause a Rfe. My wife already have original of both document just , she just need translation that i am about to scann and send by email. i hear that sometime scanned copy can cause rfe so what about scanned copy of translation?
im not sure if you will be getting an RFE for that but it would be best to mail and authenticated copy (translated) to them as well other than just scanning it.

im a bit sad for this thread is slowly fading... what is happening?
-
dont be nervous.. its not even worth the sleepless nights.
my hubby was being asked 4 very simple questions
1. where is your wife/petitioner working and what position?
2. address of your wife/petitioner?
3. who is your wife living with in this address?
4. when is your wedding anniversary?
VISA APPROVED!

i just wondering how long do i have to wait until my case will shown in USCIS system, 1month after we filed, 2months?? cos i tried many time to check my case, and the system didn't detect my case number. even in the level of acceptance. meanwhile i read in the website, they said: "The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received" i start to worried if theres something happen with my case.
woww, thats good news.. thanks miraya..
thanks mitch, this process get me frustrated.. wish everything will be oke. cross my finger. :innocent:
you'll get through this.... promise... it will just take time.
i was thinking and feeling the same exact way before... but now, im reaping the happiness that i sow with agony and patience (including almost giving up and going back home)
-
nathalya,
i was basing all my answer from my own experience but miraya was saying that they already shorten the process... lets both cross our fingers for this to be faster than before.... lets assume you'll be approved in 4-6 months... then the next thing to do is to wait for NVC to generate case#.
-
woww... this thread start to disappears...
guys.. how long do i have to wait until my current case status appears in USCIS website system?
today nothing much i can do, and so i tried to check my current case status in USCIS website. and its says " Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."
my hubby received hard copy of NOA 1 last 25th july. and i put the correct case number, but the result, my case can not be found at the system. whats going on...??
sorry if i become so anxious and impatient, i really2 new in this proses.. thanks for any advice.
your application is still with USCIS and they just received that...(you just got your receipt right) as what ive said, it might take 2-3 years for USCIS to approve your case and will be transfered to NVC for your visa application and thats where its gonna stay until your priority date will be current. you have all your time to go to Canada for your vacation. im roughly estimating, give it about 2-3 years until you'll start submitting documents to NATIONAL VISA CENTER.
-
After received NOA1, then what should i do? how long have to wait? is there any chance to speed up the process?
next month we plan to meet in canada, spend time together for our second honeymoon then, my hubby back to NYC.
but i have plan to stay there couple of months so my hubby can visit me at weekend, is that ok? is that will give any bad effect latter? i need advice from you guys.. im dying here.. miss my hubby so much !
i dont want to live separate with my husband to long.
let me make things clear for myself nathalya okay? just want to make sure your is a legal permanent resident/ from NOA1 - NOA2 (uscis to approved the application) will take more or less 2 years. so you have all your time to visit canada if you can....

Hi Mitch, my hubby receive sms from USCIS this morning said :
USCIS:Your application was received. Receipt # EAC1190271962. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Msg & Data rates may apply. DO NOT REPLY.
is that NOA 1? based on that information what is my PD? i dont see any date mention in that sms. thanks mitch for ur help.
N4th4ly4.
your first notice should not say your priority date but take note, usually, normally,... your receipt date that is coming in the mail if your priority date. but thats not gonna show till your approval letter (NOA2)

hello nathalya, my journey wasnt an easy and good one. early of 2010, my priority date was already current and some of theme only took 6 months to finish but i got caught up with my papers and here comes the retrogression. gurl, in order to appreciate things more, things wont be easy and fast.... it'll be slow and hard but hang in there, the reward is more than worth it.

hello you guys, its been the longest wait ever...... my husband had his interview june 28 and till now, we still dont have his visa.... it was a bad timing since we have this holiday for the 4th of july. ... i hope we'll have it this week so he'll be here next week after the PDOS and all......
-
hi Mitch,
congrats!
i am new here, could you tell me what LPR means? my husband is a green-card holder. he filed i-130 for me and i have been in the US since we married. the i-130 got approved in Jan. 2011, but we haven't received the case number from NVC yet. i have no idea what we should do next.
LPR - means: Legal Permanent Resident
just wait for NVC to generate a case number... and they will send stuff for you guys to fill up and requirements to submit
but for now, all we can do is to wait.
-

Hi kathleen,
Wify and son doing good. Just so happy to know Mitch is almost done.
How are you?? last time i heard you have a something in your tummy, am i correct?
something? or shall we say someone??? a caviar?
-
You should have at least give it 2 weeks time, but hopefully they will get their VISA by monday and schedule the PDOS by wed. IF they still have available slots for that week. Advise hubby to check when them, at least you still have time to change their ticket.
Im trying to check it with PDOS and i believe they go by schedule now...(anyone that is traveling to USA, THURSDAY is the only day to have their PDOS done.) my aunt is working in the AIRPORT and was telling me that we can have emergency PDOS in the airport as well. and also, there is a choice of going to cebu for a walk in PDOS.
good thing by hubby did not pay for the ticket yet, he was thinking of just waiting for the visa which is a great move.
Hello Mitch,
How did everything went with the medical and interview? hopefully he will be here soon.. can't wait for your family to be together. God is really good. Keep us posted.
-
i already got their tickets for JULY 8 which is next friday.. their visa is not there yet since its just been 2 days after their interview. i know for the fact that they have to have their pre-departure seminar after
do you guys think we will make it on time????
-

thanks Raymon, indeed!
but i have a slight worry about this ending. my husband was saying that he did not pay anything for the delivery. they took all his residency information on where to deliver it, phone numbers and all but did not pay anything..... im a bit worried and wondering.
he was saying that the person infront of him and next to him did not pay either. due to being so happy and excited plus still nervous, he wasnt able to ask....
anyone about this?
-
Mitch, i am so happy for you. Congratulations. If anyone deserves this, tis you. Enjoy. All the very best in life.
