  1. I got all the applications I ever sent to USCIS touched on the same date, after that I recieved a letter to inform me that my case has been transfered to the NBC. Any ideas of what is going on???????????????? I sent my I-360 on March 2008. thanks

    which cases were transferred?

    Only the I485

    They transfer my I-485 also.

    CarlaM, don't quit.

  2. Krikit,

I didn't fell rmncn's post was disrespectful in any way. He posted his subjective perception after reading the original post and even mentioned that he might have misread it. Frankly, if somebody is deliberating a divorce primarily due to reasons of having an easier go with the ROC process, mentioning a possible red flag to USCIS is rasonable, justified and fair. Rmncn has no duck in this hunt, just giving his personal feedback, as we all do, trying to help one another in this rather emotional process. I dislike stereotyping and/or name calling as much as the next guy, but none of that took place here.

I don't recall seeing a section on the I-751 asking whether or not the applicant's spouse, the USC, has ever been convicted of a crime or being arrested or is being jailed. USCIS wants to make sure the applicant is a law abiding person, and that's a good thing.

If it's not Adam Walsh Law (like in my case  ).

  3. Hi guys I am new i recently sent off my I-360 application..week later i recieved my reciept the following week I got a letter asking for additional evidence on residence, moral character, good faith I would like a little help with the moral character..what to send.. is an affidavit from friends and fam enough?

You will need police clearance for the last 3 years. You will need it from every state or city where you used to live for more then 6 months.

  4. Joanne28, congratulation! :) Now you can move on with your life.

I don't believe processing time anymore. I wonder why one case approved in one year within processing time and another one taking more then 15 months. For the last days i feel like i can't handle it anymore. I want already hear yes or no. If they denied my case then i will need hired an attorney so i can take my child home with me. I don't think his father can do anything because he is in prison now and has charges with child sexual abuse. I hope i can take my child with me, this is my biggest consern.

    Niagara,

Maybe my case is different, I have an approved I-130 when I was with my ex-husband, and my attorney send a letter to USCIS saying that my priority date should be current since my I-130 is approved since 2006.

I'm sorry for what you're going through and your child, but don't give up. Contact the Catholic Legal Charities in your state and they will help you. Be strong for your child and you can make it through.

    Thank you, Joanne28.

In a few days my FORTH Prima Facie will get expired. I have a filling that i will be on Fifth Prima Facie. 15 months already.

lostinNJ, do you know yet what was evidence for?

  5. My I-130 was approved in 2004. I had interview in 2006 which supposed to be approved but i stuck on FBI name check. In May of 2008 they sent me letter NOID my I-485 because my ex husband had charges against minor. They wanted denied it because of Adam Walsh Law. This is when i find out about my husband "double life" and file for VAWA.
