    I just asked my wife, and she said it can take a while. I know for her to get a new passport, it only took a week or two. I'm not really sure what to say other than start offering a "convenience fee" to speed things up. To reschedule an interview is no big deal, but I would do it sooner than later if you don't forsee him getting the card in time.
