  1. I got my I-485 NOA on July, 1st with the notice date of June 28th. It has been two weeks already but still no letter for biometrics appointment. My friends got appointment letters within 7-10 days after the notice day, the same I see on the timelines of this forum members. Should I start to worry that my mail got lost somewhere?

It varies from person to person and i got my noa1 for 765 and 485 on 5/30/06 and the bio letter 6/20 appointment.

But hasn't been touched since 6/21

  2. read this thread for info on the subject: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...opic=13584&st=0

ok, I am reading that. But this doesn't address my immediate concerns. That is just a "group-lets get through this" thread. It is not a, "you are effected by this, and how" thread.

It doesn't answer the question of if the I-129F form I used (from here) was not the proper one after all. It does not answer the question of how to do this silly background check.

I am a conservative, but I have to say: Damn this stupid presidency!

So what I see from what I read on it from the link you posted. They are taking into action that if petitoners have a criminal record they are going back to the NVC for review. If that person really loves that person it shouldn't be about the record if this is correct what they are saying.

  3. Hi everyone, we're searching for a nice point of views from VJ people's here who are advance already in this processing or to some people who got a great knowledge in terms of US immigration.

Me & my USC fiance will be getting married this June 1st, right after the marriage ceremony, the marriage license will be given to us and process it by ourself to make it more faster and also we will proceed of arranging other documents to be in proper change of names. But doing so, my USC fiance decided to do all along with the processing of adoption for my 4 yrs old, before the AOS thing.

Meaning when every documents in our hands are in changed names already and having my son adoption papers, (1) DO WE NEED TO SEND A COPY OF ADOPTION PAPER TO MANILA JUST TO PUT MY FIANCE NAME AS the FATHER for us to have a NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE showing he is not unto my maiden name still?????? As we know in US, states to states do that, only to processes a new original birth certificate copy, but we dont have any idea if for some international country apply to that.

    (2) On processing of our AOS, for K1 & K2 ... since my son is already adopted with legal original documents to prove, Is my son still applying for AOS (residence status) or we could process already (or simply jumping into) application for NATURALIZATION being adopted of a USC??????

any help would be appreciated. thanks so much!

Hey Rebelheart I have checked in to having an adoption for Helen's daughter, but you have to married for 3 years before that can happen so before the AOS is not possible.

  4. hello there!. i was a filipina fiancee over here. just wondering if how long will i able to receive the k packet from the consulate after the notice of action #2 from uscis. what is your estimated time? i came to know from mail that the petition has been approved last may 9, 2006. thank you :star:

From the time it leaves the nvc it will take about 6 months for an interview so about 4-5 months for a packet 6 months for an interview

  5. Malambing is approved!!!:dance:  As I have read here or on asawa.org it appears the interview was more of a formality. My fiancee saw a large approved stamp on her file as soon as the officer opened her file to begin the interview. The questions asked were very simple and matter of fact. She was very prepared for all type questions regarding our relationship, but it was not needed. Although her complete preparation gave her confidence with the officer. Now hoping for a quick visa delivery and an immediate ticket to Long Beach, CA. Steve
I just got off the phone with Lorainne (she still is my favorite at the embassy...such a nice girl) And I was told that the consul finished evaluation this morning and the visa will be printed tomorrow or monday. :D congratulations malambing!

Congrats to you both and happy flying to your loved one and enjoy it. I know I will today as I will be picking up my wife at the Chicago Ohare today.

  6. Hi jose and everyone here!

How's helen? does she manage to fly to illinois now? As for me i passed everything in Embassy before helen, but me and my fiance got some delays from church here in manila, they dont want me to fly with Ryan last Apr. 3 , so im still here in manila but i already rebooked my ticket and my son Lloyd on Apr 25. It's more into culture thing in Manila, my church here thinks that im eloping with an american guy and im tried living-in together, so wer just waiting and trying to obey church. But im keen to fly to ATL by 3rd week of April with my son.

Question: Is it true or anyone here been gone through POE of ATL sucks??? anyone had experiencing entering ATL here? i dont have choice dats my POE bcos my fiance is from Atlanta. Ive read some info from other post in VJ. thats why my fiance tried to visit manila to accompany me in interview and also thru POE bcos ATL was a big terminal and uses train to shift terminals for u to collect ur luggages.

say my regards to Helen, Thanks!
