I am compiling evidence for my wife and I to remove her conditions. I see that a joint tax return is a reccommended evidence. Do i Need to print off the entire tax return (22pages) or is there one specific section I need to print off?

Friend who australian got married to american citizen on a waiver exempt program. They did not know each other before the visist and they ended up getting married. I told him he should of got engaged and filed for and a k1, but the past is the past. Can he adjust his status with that kind of a visa. I have heard mixed reviews

Hey everyone my wife and i are trying to travel to canada on the 4th of July. Her passport expires June 6th. Here in Atlanta we can not find anyone to take pictures that wont be rejected. We have sent 4 sets from four different photographers. Costco, Wolfe Camera, Professional downtown, and a place that specilizes in the passport photos for all countries were all denied. Can she travel into Canada with an expired passport and her green card? Then stay in Canada until her new passport comes in since we can get photos there ?

this might be an odd question, but does a permanent resident card have a signature on it anywhere ?

she does have a ssn but it says it must have bearer's name and signature and there is no signature on her ssn card or permanent resident card which is why im freaking out lol

On the passport renewal form for canada it asks for "Documents that Support your ID"

Can I use my Wife Permanent Resident Card. It is the only card that has the correct new last name. If I am allowed to use that It says I can photocopy it. What other types of documents have you used to support your ID.

Regarding the passport photo, for the image itself, the Canadian standard is much higher. There can't be any shadows anywhere in the photo (ie.background, on ears, under eyes), there also cannot be any shine on your face. I would e-mail the Canadian Consulate in your state and ask if they can recommend a photographer who can take the proper photo to size and image quality (they do have this info and they will let you know). Many folks have their passport applications returned due to a rejected photo.....yet they will keep the appl. money.

For gaurnator, you do need one, but they have changed it from certain individuals (a lawyer, judge, teacher etc...) to any one who has known you for 2 yrs, has a valid Canadian passport and has known you for 2 years. * The gaurantor must also sign the back of one of your photos, stating that it is a true likness of you and date it. They must also sign the application.

well i got married so my last name changed

My passport expires in June and I need to renew it. I just got my green card and currently living in the united states. I found the website on how to renew the passport, but have a few questions.

1) Nobody in the states cuts photos for Canadian passports. Can i cut them myself. I went to Costco and they did gave me photos a little larger than the required size. They said they dont have the machine to cut it.

2) Guarantor- My aunt is a nurse does the qualify as a medical doctor ? If not who can I use if I dont know anyone personally.

my wife's green card was approved and we received the notice. She got hired on by a gym and they want to know if she can start on weds. We received her notice 7 days ago. Can she work without her greencard in hand if it has already been mailed ? They are short staff and all or should she just wait?

we were approved without an interview. i checked the uscis website and it said approved and my card was in production, but no email or anything like that. It was weird , but a good weird.

The only one i can find is if your are applying off a k-1 or a k-3 and his is a tourist visa. I have completed the k-1 for my wife using the guides, but is there a guide specifically for a tourist visa gettting married and adjusting ?

Can the file I-130 and I 485 the work visa, travel documents together or do they have to file the I-130 and wait to send the I-485/

I have asked this question before, but have not gotten a clear answer yet so let me explain it better.

I have a friend who came down to america on a tourist visa, from Canada, to help our church with music and just hang out for six months. He ended up falling in love with an American Citizen and they got married a couple of days ago. His 6 month tourist visa expires in May and they want to adjust his status to permanent resident. So he is adjusting from tourist visa to permanent resident. This was not premeditated they did not know each other beforehand. What forms should they fill out ?

if its in california it typically mean no interview for you, but they could always transfer it back to uscis. Its a good thing when they transfer it

Yep i got the same notice, all that means is they received your application and its being processed

Im happy to be at the CSC an interview is just extra stress. Our AP and EAD have not been touched since the 17th, but our AOS has been touched the most wonder if thats good or bad

My wifes application was touched today for the first time since the 27th of march . Its at the CSC hopefully that means they are wrapping things up

Well he is from canada so he didnt get a stamp or anything they just looked at his passport and said you can stay up to six months. He plans on getting married to the us citizen before his six months is up and file the adjustment before his status is up. My real question I guess is can he stay as long as he sends his paper work before his six months is up.

Hey everyone, this is a question for my friend. Obviously not me because im already married, but anyway here it goes.

My friend came from Vancouver, Canada on a tourist visa to be with his family for six months. He met a girl he did not know prior to this trip and they are getting married in May. May would be around his 110th day in the states. He does not want to leave the states after getting married. So what steps does he have to take?

wonder if this is a good or bad thing. Since my wife completed her biometrics on the 19th, her aos has been touched 6/8 days. Between those days we have gotten a transfer letter to the csc and a notice that the file has been received by the csc. That was 3 days ago and since then everyday my file has been touhed. What do you think they are doing... discuss
