Where and on what form in Packet 3 did they ask for the USCIS Receipt number instead of your NVC Case Number?
in DS-160 online form when you fill your travel information
they asked purpose of your trip i sayd other than specify fiance or spouse...and they asked the principal applicant's petition number...

Oh... One thing I'd add, is to make sure your CASE # is written on any cover letter that is sent with it!
ya good idea... glad im sending this tommorrow ill print it again

UGH... and now I'm noticing that the DS 230 asks for employment history of the last TEN years, not just FIVE like on the G325... so now I have to scrounge that up... it's like every job I've ever had... and I've had a lot, including some temp jobs that I'll have to find info for... this sucks! I wanted to send this back on Tuesday, but now I don't know if I'll have everything together by then... I got the impression that the Packet 3 was easy to fill out and send back... but this is turning out to be a big pain in the butt!!!
So far don't worry about it...
for the job list what i did was to just send them a list of all what i could remember
this is my example...
Also we thought it might help so my fiance wrote this cover letter for me that you could send them
hope it helps

hey guys! my fiance' received his packet in mail a couple of weeks ago. he sent the necessary documents back last week. how long before the mumbai consulate sets an appointment for an interview.
i called the mumbai consulate 2 days ago they told me nothing. what happens from here on?
i can't say for sure but i would expect you will have a notification *the pack4* soon with your interview date...interview could be 1 to 5 months!
-
Stay home. No consulate is set up to allow hand-delivered materials. Incoming packets must first go through security screening, be tested for Anthrax, etc. etc. before employees can touch them.
ya well... i wanted to spare the 10$ of the envelope...lol! ...since i have metro ticket and bus...
its nice to know at least that you can't go give them in person...
its gonna be in the mail Monday night since they won't work till Tuesday...
-
keep us updated on your story..
also.. that stupid a waiver cost 500$...
at least there is this thing
but how long will it take to take before getting approved and changed ...sigh

I thought H1N1 was going to be voluntary just like the normal flu shot here in Canada.
Cause I'm not getting it unless they pay me for it. Not enough long term info on it.
still no news..im getting paranoid...
i still hope my doctor can write im allergic to something in the vacine XD
and the h1n1... i would not be surprise if they force it on us again... just cant wait to see the price of this one...

i loled ....when i read that on page 12

can i just walk in and give it to anyone ? or at the very least just drop it in their outside mailbox (im presuming they have one)
thanks for post

Firefox WILL NOT print the new DS-160 application.
You must do the application in Internet Explorer, or restore an application save file from Internet Explorer, to be able to print the entire application successfully.
Firefox can print the confirmation page, but again, it CANNOT print the full application.
I had to go through the form twice because of this.
ATTENTION VISAJOURNEY STAFF: Can you put this in a sticky somewhere?
Edit: FYI, the 1-900 number said that multiple submissions were no problem, you just might need to explain what happened to them at some point.
dang ok ty ! make sens now... so ill just retry to print it at my job today and hopefully it will go through
-
print the entire DS-160 completed form and keep it to bring to the interview just incase with the confirmation page of course.
* i cant cause it only printed the first page...i tryed everything it just didint let me ...it was pkrinting just 3 page,, one with the picture and one half of what it was suposed to look alike and the last page was a plain paper... *shrugs*
im using firefox...

Did the test over and thats what it said... DS- 160
Confirmation
YOU MUST BRING this confirmation page and the following document(s) with you at all steps during the application process:
Passport; evidence of approved I-129F.
The barcode MUST be clear and legible on the printed page. You may also print the entire application for your records. If you do not have access to a printer at this time, select the option to email your confirmation page to an email address.
Please contact your Consular Post directly for information on how to continue the application process. Please note that you will be required to provide proof that you have paid the visa application fee. You may also provide any additional documents you feel will support your case. DO NOT submit the entire application.
Some posts have special procedures for applicants who may not need a visa interview; you may find information about that process on the Consular Post's website.
There may be other fees associated with the visa application process. Please check your country's Reciprocity Schedule for any other fees you may owe.
If you have further questions or to find out how to contact the Consular Post please go to www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov or http://travel.state.gov.

im sooo confused
read on this website...

13.
When I apply for a nonimmigrant visa using the online DS-160, are additional forms required?
No, with one exception. When applying at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate that is using the new DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application, you will use only one (1) form. For Embassies and Consulates that have converted to this new process, the DS-160 has replaced all of the following forms: DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, DS-158, and DS-3032, which are no longer necessary.NOTE: The exception is the Treaty Trader/Treaty Investor visa application, which is explained in #14 below. (HUH ??? then why should i send them the rest of the Ds-forms ?)
It is important to check the Embassy or Consulate website where you will apply for your nonimmigrant visa for information on the application process in place. Embassies and consulates worldwide will transition one-by-one to the DS-160. Therefore, those Embassies which have not yet converted to the new DS-160 online form continue to require all application forms, as necessary.
What does it mean...
should i print 2 time the 160 ? cause it was telling me to just bring the confirmation receipt and i saw the online form said *sent* as they got it by online right ?
now... they told peach (sry the member with the peach picture) that she needed 2 ??
on my paper it says just 1 and the receipt... but then again on my online thing they told me not to send them the confirmation receipt ...to just print it and bring it on interview...
-
uh oh .. mine said they wanted all of the forms sent, i didn't realize they had changed it. i'd better email the embassy to make sure
here for everyone ... thats what mine look
and my checklist
-
If they gave you the website links, just download them directly from USCIS website and print them off.... maybe they're saving paper that way?
For the medical, you can book it before your interview date, you just need your "MTL" case number. The medical is good for one year, so don't get it too soon before you anticipate your interview date....
You can send the checklist back without actually having the medical results & police cert in hand.... you just must have them in time for the interview!
whould you say i need to send them everything still ? those 5 forms(1 being the receipt of ds-160)
-
OK but this paper make no sens....
see me i got through the mail the checklist and a very described list...
On the first page it says
This office is processing the below-referenced fiance(e) visa case
in order to continue processing this case, please complete and return to this office at the above adress *blah blah blah*
List
from Ds;230 part 1
form ds-160
form ds-156k
form ds-156
and a receipt for ds-160
they didint send me any forms instead they gaved me website links to them...
so what do i do ?
also it says on checklist that i need my medical and my police certificate..
but then again... on the medical list they tell me to give them the date of my interview when i call them >.<
how am i suposed to get a medical before the interview before sending them that checklist and before knowing that interview date...
HeLp *glups*

I really want to know the outcome on this. I'm not ready to pay 130 dollars a shot and I'm against the shot itself.
I hope they changed the rules about the vaccine.
yes me too... but here is another big deal...
they are gonna make a new Vaccine
the one for H1N1
And hopefully they wont force us to take it too...cause if i was against gardasil
i sure am against a vaccine that would have been test only less than a year...
the aluminum pile up dangerously in the list of all vaccine we must take... *sigh*

No. My fiancé had conflicting allergies with some of the components that are in Gardasil. During the medical, the doctor gave her a blanket waiver for the shot (Gardasil). The blanket waiver permitted her to get the visa without requiring her to get the shot (for now or AOS). Because this wavier was issued by an approved doctor, we didn’t have to pay for a thing.
How did she prove she was allergic ? her doctor ?
-
medical needs to be current at time of filing the I-485
i would like to know too.. .as i will also not take it and fill a waiver
I found that and made a post on the immigration and news forum group
