She will just need criminal background document from indonisia before her interview in london
You won't need this criminal background check for the time she lives in Indonesia since it's not required / applicable to Indonesia

Hello, Jon & Lita
I posted the review of the interview on the Consulate review section.
As a matter of difficult, I don't think it's difficult, but it's not easy either.
My fiancee's interview was about 10minutes long, but the person before her was like about 30-40minutes.
And that person came out with list of docs that she still has to provide.
So, I guess it really depends on whether you have full documentation or not.
They didn't ask for more evidence of relationship , maybe because we front loaded our I-129 package.
So, prepare your fiance(e) with the sample interview questions that VJ has.
My fiancee found it helpful.
As for bank letter, I got my bank letter from Chase, it pretty much states the opening date of the account, the average balance, the current balance.
Good luck with the interview

Hello,
Here's what I gave my fiancee for her interview:
1. Tax Transcript 2008
2. VOE from HR
3. Bank letter verifying the accounts information
4. Paystub 2 months worth.
5. Bank Statement for 2 months.

Congratz, Astrid!
Nice, hdkimo. It seems you're going to Asia earlier than I am.
Can't wait till Feb 12th........
Please post what you do after arrival in the US
Hehe, Round 2 is about to start.
-
Congratz, Hdkimo!
My fiance is picking up her passport back today.
And should be about 2-3 more weeks to be together
-
Congratz to both of you
Now only waiting until Visa is in hand, and we should be all set
-
Hehehe....Thanks, Hdkimo.
It's been a journey.....
Thank you, everyone for providing support.
-
Hehe, nice, hdkimo. Good Luck on the interview
My fiancee just finished her interview , they gave her white slip card with a date to pick up her passport on Jan 20th.
The interviewer didn't tell her whether she passed or not, just gave her that card and to come back on the 23rd Jan instead I'm still hoping that to get her passport back only because nothing else is written there.
I'm still trying to get confirmation if she's passed, because for some reason, inside my heart I knew that she's passing, but I need the confirmation...if you know what i mean.

Before I can decide what my emotion should be.......
what does it mean when my fiancee got a small white card with a date to pick up her passport?
Sounds silly, but just want to make sure if this is an approval.....
I guess she forgot to ask if she pass or not haha...
Should I call the embassy and ask?
-
A few more hours from now.....
2 hours till appointment time......
maybe 5 more hours for me to find out since applicant can't bring cell phone
Just woke her up to get ready for appointment
-
Sorry to hear that , Cptrosco. Hopefully, it will be done soon
Thank you for the goodluck wishes.
Hoping to be able to post good news in few more hours....
-
Interview will be in less than 12 hours.....nervous...excited...the anxiety....... and i'll be waiting....
-
Couple more days to the interview date.....more like 2 more days.....
I think I'm more nervous and anxious than my fiancee..... who's actually going to be doing the interview.
-
wow , hdkimo. that's kinda confusing for me....lol...
I did fill the DS 156 online because they asked us to do it there, but i think all DS 156 link are online and create specific barcode. I just hope i'm doing this right.
I guess the real showtime will be in couple more days....Jan 14th..

Hi, Hdkimo.
I'm not quite understanding about your case about mailing the appointment letter prior . Is it indicated that you have to do that? Because Indonesian embassy seems to just send an email containing the appointment date and time without telling us to mail back anything. So technically, there's no requirement for us to mail the packet 3 nor packet 4.
Maybe i should call the embassy to verify this..

Hi, just want to share a bit.
My dad used to have GC , and then he voluntarily gave up his GC because he resides permanently in Indonesia and can't visit the US every 6 months. Every now and then , he came to the US with tourist visa with no problem. Not sure if any question about PR was asked, but one thing for sure, he was always able to obtain one.

Well, I had the same thing with my fiancee. The only thing that we have is only the father's name, and so far we managed to get our petition approved.
-
Congratulations, Alex & Astrid!
Today we just got our interview date. It's set on January 15th, 2010.
-
Hi, Astrid.
It seems we both would live in the same area
To Capuccino Boy:
For Chase, it does take three weeks to get a "signed" letter from them. However, if you want it fast, you can just go to the local branch and ask the personal banker for account verification. It contains the same information. I did both of them .
Planning to email the embassy today to get the interview date. Hoping for mid of January.
-
Hey, Capuccino boy.
That's about the same thing that I sent to my fiancee.
Even though the embassy requests also for bank statement, I guess every country is different.
-
Best of Luck, Astrid
Fiancee just finished with medical exam today.
So going to send an email out to the embassy today to request for interview date.
Hoping for January 15ish.....
Speaking of 3 days.....3 more work days for me to fly and re-united with fiancee
I'll be home for xmas!!!

Hi, Adam.
I read this thread when I got my NOA2 for the NVC part.

Hi, Rwenstorm.
I don't think that's right about the CSC just started to process the JUNE applications. Our application was filed on August 5th, 2009 and we got our petition approved in October. Maybe they are just answering you based on the average timeline which is 6months to process?
I guess i'm in the same position like you wanting to do headstart with all the paperwork before NoA2
Not done with the embassy level yet, so I can't give you any advice on this. sorry.
But try to read other people's threads, I found that to be helpful.
Good luck to you,

Tax returns
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
I'm guessing this depends on the Embassy. For Indonesia, they only need the last year tax return.
For us, they only requested tax return/transcript 2008 since I haven't got 2009 W2 before the interview.
