  1. Hello, Jon & Lita

I posted the review of the interview on the Consulate review section. :P

As a matter of difficult, I don't think it's difficult, but it's not easy either.

My fiancee's interview was about 10minutes long, but the person before her was like about 30-40minutes.

And that person came out with list of docs that she still has to provide.

So, I guess it really depends on whether you have full documentation or not.

They didn't ask for more evidence of relationship , maybe because we front loaded our I-129 package.

So, prepare your fiance(e) with the sample interview questions that VJ has.

My fiancee found it helpful. :)

As for bank letter, I got my bank letter from Chase, it pretty much states the opening date of the account, the average balance, the current balance.

Good luck with the interview :)

  2. Hehe, nice, hdkimo. Good Luck on the interview :)

My fiancee just finished her interview , they gave her white slip card with a date to pick up her passport on Jan 20th.

The interviewer didn't tell her whether she passed or not, just gave her that card and to come back on the 23rd Jan instead :( I'm still hoping that to get her passport back only because nothing else is written there.

I'm still trying to get confirmation if she's passed, because for some reason, inside my heart I knew that she's passing, but I need the confirmation...if you know what i mean.

  3. Before I can decide what my emotion should be.......

what does it mean when my fiancee got a small white card with a date to pick up her passport?

Sounds silly, but just want to make sure if this is an approval..... :(

I guess she forgot to ask if she pass or not haha...

Should I call the embassy and ask?

  4. Hi, Hdkimo.

I'm not quite understanding about your case about mailing the appointment letter prior . Is it indicated that you have to do that? Because Indonesian embassy seems to just send an email containing the appointment date and time without telling us to mail back anything. So technically, there's no requirement for us to mail the packet 3 nor packet 4.

Maybe i should call the embassy to verify this..

  5. Hi, just want to share a bit.

My dad used to have GC , and then he voluntarily gave up his GC because he resides permanently in Indonesia and can't visit the US every 6 months. Every now and then , he came to the US with tourist visa with no problem. Not sure if any question about PR was asked, but one thing for sure, he was always able to obtain one.

  6. Hi, Astrid.

It seems we both would live in the same area :P

    To Capuccino Boy:

For Chase, it does take three weeks to get a "signed" letter from them. However, if you want it fast, you can just go to the local branch and ask the personal banker for account verification. It contains the same information. I did both of them . :)

Planning to email the embassy today to get the interview date. Hoping for mid of January. :)

  7. Hi, Rwenstorm.

I don't think that's right about the CSC just started to process the JUNE applications. Our application was filed on August 5th, 2009 and we got our petition approved in October. Maybe they are just answering you based on the average timeline which is 6months to process?

I guess i'm in the same position like you wanting to do headstart with all the paperwork before NoA2 :)

Not done with the embassy level yet, so I can't give you any advice on this. sorry.

But try to read other people's threads, I found that to be helpful. :)

    Good luck to you,
