  2. Hello all,

I have heard that some people get a letter from there Congressman on behalf for their spouse. What exactly does the letter have to say are what do i even need to ask for. My sister is good friend with a lady that works for our congressman and i was hoping that i could maybe get a letter written but im not even sure what the process is. If anyone has ever had this done i would love for ya to share info with me. Thank you very much and good luck to everyone getting your loved ones home.

    Thanks,

    Kristy

  3. Hi everyone ! Finally posting something

Here's the deal . My wife had applied for Visitor's Visa yesterday and she was told that she could not apply for visitor's visa since she had married a US citizen and there was no law to applying for this Visa . I am planning to call up the counselor and ask him what the deal is .

Has anyone tried applying for Visitor's visa while they have applied for I-130 petition ? Just curious , why would a visitor's visa be not available if you have applied for I-130 and is pending .

I am just pissed with the whole deal .

There is a chance that ur wife can visit for 90 days , my husband got through 2 months ago for 90 days but he had to have strong ties to Ireland ( letter from work and rental agreement, bank account statements) things like that to prove he is going back. He is here until July 7th..... We are still waiting on our NOA2 but the 3 months with him here took the sting outta the waiting process. Good luck to ya hope she is able to come visit.

  4. I'm not sure if CR1 is the same as K-1 but if you don't have any kids it's $17,850 or something close to that. But when my fiance went to the Dublin embassy they only looked at the last year of income, not the last 3 years.

Check the poverty guide lines site that No Where Man gave you, then you will know for sure. You financial for the embassy is based on the last year filed for taxes, plus any other assets "if have" Best to file the 2008 ASAP, I would say.

I hope it's only for the last year. I was hardly worked in '06 and only for half of '07 (I had a baby). Here are the 2009 poverty guidelines: http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/09poverty.shtml

You have to make 125% of that to not need a second sponsor.

Where are ye from in IRL? I'm a Dub

I'm from Texas my husband is from Dundalk

  7. Hello I have a couple of questions regarding income? My husband and I are trying to get all of our documents together for the CR1. My question is what is the min income without having to have a co-sponser that i need to have had made in the previous 3 yrs? Also i was previous married during 2007 and we filed together will this affect anything? Thank you so much for your help.

  8. Hi everyone

I'm Allan's wife Kristy, thank you all for your help we are very new to all this and a bit confused is to which path to take. I filled in the timeline as much as i could i hope it helps. Our plan was to go with the K3 because we were told it was the fastest way to get Allan here. But from what i have read @ visajourney it seems like the CR-1 is just as fast with less hassle. The only thing that we have done so far is mailed our I130 and rec'd our 1st NOA in the mail. We are just confused on what step to take next. Any input would be great. Thanks again
