  1. i have now a passport picture for my 129 f application but i just found out from other site that the picture must be glossy. but mine is printed in a silk paper. did anybody here submitted a photo that is not glossy?

I'm not sure what silk paper is exactly so my answer my not be completely accurate! I think in general it is best to follow the rules 100% and if it is possible for you to get a new picture quite easily, then I would suggest getting a new picture. On the other hand, I worked as a photo lab tech for a while and the two types of photo paper that most places have available in the US is glossy and matte. I think that when they ask for a glossy picture, they are most likely asking for a picture that is not matte. So I guess it is up to you. If the silk paper gives off a more glossy sheen then it most likely it okay, but maybe not. To be on the safe side, I'd get it re-done!

thanks for the reply. in the philippines when we have our photos developed they ask if its glossy or silk. then maybe matte and silk are the same. silk paper is something that is not smooth when you touch it. well anyway i really need to follow the rules. still need to send it to my fiance which will take me 3 weeks throught the post office.
