When i get to NVC waiting to be recieved. What happens after I am out? where does the K-1 process go from here?

Hi All,

Has anyone here experienced a delay of more than a week between the approval time of your NOA2 and your case arrival at NVC? From what I can see many cases arrive within two days and most arrive within a week. So far my case hasn't arrived at NVC and it has been two weeks since my NOA2 at VSC.

Everytime I ring up NVC they tell me that 2-4 weeks is normal and that it can take up to 90 days.

Anyone else experienced this??? I feel like we are lost in some sort of immigration area 51

Your case is probably at NVC, they just havent uploaded it into the system yet (it's done manualy)

We have been waiting since March 12,2009

Our case took over four months to get to NVC from USCIS. Although USCIS will tell you to file an application for an action on an approved case, you really don't have to pay a dime more than you already did. What happened with us, was it was stuck at USCIS for further investigations while they already mailed us a letter saying that the case has left for NVC.

We contacted our state senator regarding this issue, and they inquired for us, and told us this info.

A week later the case was forwarded to NVC.

my wife has been waiting more than 2 months for case number to be assigned at NVC. We are thinking we will need to file a petition to request action on an approved petition. However the fee is over $300. It is USCIS job to send approved petition to NVC, if something happend to it in-transit i think its unfair to have citizens pay for it.

Hello first I would like to introduce myself I am Chris the petitioner and my Fiancee is Debie in indonesia.We are approved as of March 12,2009 but still waiting to get into NVC has anyone else been waiting a long time for this step?

Its happening more and more that there is a delay at the NVC. You should call them once or twice a week. Are you saying that your case is not yet recieved by the NVC or not yet released by the NVC?not yet recieved

I talked to areal person and got the 2-4 week and up to 90 day routine

There was a thread recently started by Raj&Monica regarding this situation, cases that are taking a very long time to make their way from USCIS into NVC. Do a search....

Hello I read on another thread that they update Tuesdays and Saturdays .Is there any truth to this. We have been waiting since march 12 2009 for them to recieve from uscis.i have seen many go through any ideas why ours might be getting delayed.

I have had 3 updates this week and none of them have been on a Tuesday or a Saturday.

What type of updates I keep calling to see if we are recieved by NVC yet.Sometimes I speak with I think a live person but they always have the same answer 2-4 weeks and up to 90 days .I am wondering if we are lost in the shuffle,so many others are passing us by which is good .we would just like to get in. At least another step.

Hello, I know we are all anxious for this process to be over and be with are loved ones. I was reminded at by one of my church group members all in God's time. I then realized how i was lasering all my prayers toward this and my will versus Divine will. It gave me that sense of peace back that I got when i first met my fiancee.I hope to hold on to that during the rest of this process.

We have filled out all our forms for my fiancee and future son.Are there any accompanying forms or letters i should have for my son besides divorce decree that say she has full custody.and should i have that all translated into English?

I've seen this claim a few times in the last couple days. What leads you to believe that the NVC was bypassed?

It is written in the further instructions section in the lower section of form I-797C
