we want to bring my mother-in-law here to live out her life from Indonesia.I am the USC and my wife a permanent resident.What is the best way to process this.She visited the U.S. back in 2001 on a tourist visa and returned within the time frame.

Hello,I am trying to get a tourist visa for my mother in law.She was denied in 08 why we don't know.She was here in 01 right before 911.she stayed and went back.Any suggestions.I know the part about money in the bank,how much? She is 73 not to much time for her long past Indonesian usual age.

According to your timeline you haven't had your wife's EAD, AP, or conditional greencard approved.

Assuming that you have just failed to complete the information in your timeline (given it's almost a year since your last update on your timeline) I am going to assume that you wife has had those approved and is also in possession of her 2 year conditional greencard. If that is the case... why are you renewing her AP and EAD?? Those became void once she had her greencard approved because the greencard overrides them both...

Assuming you're still waiting on her greencard (which would be pretty darn ridiculous) then I don't know, but I would get on them abotu the approval if this is the case... but I think it's the former so... !!!

It is coming up on my wifes 1 year here and her EAD card will expire and her travel document.I read the work permit is ok since we are conditional.Not sure on that though or travel document.

Yesterday my wife went to get her social security card no problem it is in the mailshe is the K-1 . My son though who is here on a K-2 was told he did not need one .How can I get him one? I am filing bankruptcy and need his social security number.

HI EVERYONE,

I called the social security office and they said what my reason was for needing a card. Since we are filing our AOS hopefully next weekI thought we would get it now. They said they could not give it just for a drivers license. What reasons can i give?

We were finally recieved by NVC on May 15and promptly forwarded on may18 to the Jakarta embassy. I just hope and pray the final part of this process goes smooth with no hiccups.

I am at 4 weeks now since NOA2....not receiced yet at NVC....I call 2 times a day and talk to live person...This is so frustrating...NAO2 took 6-1/2 months...the waiting is killing me!! I am sure there are others in the same boat as I am...God bless us all,,,

Today i finally recieved some good news from USCIS I hope

I was told that my notice that our petition had been sent to NVC was mailed.This is after countless call since ou March 12 approval.When we were told it was already forwarded and it was in the NVC's court to recieve it. On april 30 I noticed a touch by USCIS which obviously means it was still there.This gave me solid footing on todays inquiry.Hope it arrives soon we originally filed August 5 2008.

We started this August 5,2008. Finally get approved on March 12,2009. Now I just keep praying and checking with NVC and get the same spiel everytime.It looks like we will just go the longest amountof time possible in each phase of the K-1 process.I checked and noticed on April 30,2008. So I am going to call USCIS and ask how that is possible since they have told me it was forwarded to the NVC. does anybody have any other suggestionsPLEASE
