  1. hello.

the CO who interviewed me is not an african-american CO but a young white male. i was interviewed and approved on a friday and i was completely expecting that i will have my visa by middle of the following week. but i didn't. so i was kinda worried too and i was like really down but my bebe said that i should just be calm and that we have hurdled one of the hardest part. sure enough, my visa came before the end of the 10th day from the interview.

i know it's hard when you're the one waiting but just calm down, be positive and give some encouragement to your fiancee. you should both be happy and celebrating and not fretting about things you can't control.

  2. well, my fiance just sent one picture of us with the i129f and we were approved.

the proofs i brought during the interview were a few printed copies of our e-mails and our scrapbook. and we were also approved.

so i thinkyou just have to prove you met during the petition application. and then prove that you have an ongoing bona fide relationship during the interview.

  3. during my interview, CO asked the following:

    1. What is my name and when is my birthday?

    2. Who is my petitioner?

    3. How did we meet? And since I answered online, he asked what website and type of website it is.

    4. Have we me each other in person? How many times, when and where?

    5. Have i ever been married? Do i have children?

    6. Has my fiance ever been married or have children?

    7. Where does my fiance live?

    8. How did he propose? When i described how, the CO looked excited and asked id he could see my engagement ring.

    9. What do we plan to do once i get there already?

    10. How many kids do we want?

Then some other trivial questions while he's looking at our pictures. We were just like having a normal conversations. and then he said i should call my fiance and tell him the good news coz he's approving my visa.

So, i hope this will help you prepare for your interview. Just always smile at the interviewer even if you feel nervous. And the CO will warm up to you.

    God bless on your interview!

  4. oh... i guess i can answer this even if he's not my hubby yet. we're gonna be getting married on may 9 though. :luv:

well, i fell in love with him because of his honesty, sense of humor, child-likeness and wit. and he never promises anything but strives to give me everything he can. we also have the same set of values and we both believe in working hard to make things work.

i love my hubby bebe bear so so so much. and i'd like to say i feel so so so loved. :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv:

  5. oh... thanks.

i got paranoid coz when i was at the embassy waiting for my interview, they were showing instructions on tv on how to handle the visa package. it was shown there that there is a sealed plastic with a document inside which you are supposed to photocopy or something.

well, i guess it is not for k1 visa.

  6. hi everyone.

i received my K1 Visa through air 21 and it contains the sealed yellow envelope, my passport with visa and an instruction sheet.

is that all it's suppose to contain?

    am getting paranoid... lolz

    sorry, but whats "air 21"?

it's the one who delivers the Visa here. it used to DELBROS.

  7. hello... i'm new here in VJ and i haven't entered the US yet.

well, yea, i am a licensed chemical engineer and i deserve to be counted.

I'm also a licensed chemical engineer. Our license in the philippines does not count here.

Dont want to give a negative impression on you but be prepared and dont set your expectation to high.

yea... i do know that it doesn't count there that's why i'm not renewing my license anymore...

and i'm quite prepared to start from the bottom of my career ladder all over again...

my bebe is also supportive and i told him that if we could afford it, i'll try to get the requirements so i can get the exams for engineering and be better equipped.

but hey, where are you now? where do you work?

I'm here in Arizona. Still waiting for my work permit. I'm reviewing for a professional certification right now. The certification is recognized here in the US :)

Most of my engineering friends are taking their masters and PhDs here, some in scholarship, others from their own pocket. Some got a job here after schooling. :)

With your plan, you are in the right track. San ka dito sa US?

not there yet but my bebe will be going here next month to pick me up. we'll be living in Longmont, Colorado.

when do you plan to take the exam for professional certification? where are you reviewing?

It has a testing center here in Arizona. I did my review from Ateneo, Makati. I'm using skillsoft for my online review now. Plan to take the exam ASAP.

If you plan to take masters here, you can take GRE and Teofl. Then apply for scholarship.

    Thanks for the info.

And God Bless on your exam.

    :)

  10. I am new here and i just want to say that visajourney helped us a lot while we were applying for our visa. I have just received my visa and i just want to make sure that i've got the whole packet correctly. The contents of my Air 21 package is my passport with the visa and the Yellow (or brown) envelope that i suppose is the visa packet.

Is that all that it's supposed to contain? I am asking because when i was at the US embassy for the interview, they were showing instructions on the TV on how to deal with the Visa Package. And it shows there that there are 3 things inside, the sealed Yellow envelope, the passport and a paper inside a sealed plastic.

    BTW, i have a K-1 visa.
