  1. Congrats to everyone on reunions and weddings and progress! :)

Neil has been here for two weeks and I still feel like I'm dreaming when I walk in the door after work and he's here. Christmas was bliss and the whole family is excited and gearing up for the wedding, which is two weeks from Saturday - January 16.

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a Happy happy New Year and the best of luck with approvals, progress, interviews, reunions, marriages and hard fought/well earned lifetimes together. May everyone in the world find the love that we all have found.

    :)

  2. Yaaaay, Zahid! So glad the passport drama got worked out! Congrats, I am so very happy for you.

Best of luck to Resha and Jules, I'll be waiting to hear!!

I want everyone to feel the way I've been feeling this week. Having him here is like a walking dream. I still can't believe it, I can't stop staring at him and touching him! lol

and the best part is...it's not a visit...he's here FOREVER!!!!

  3. roughsweet... Wow 2 days!!! Congrats I hope you have a great trip and enjoy your first day with your love!!!:dance::dance:

Thank you for thinking of us, Resha, that's so sweet. We are so excited, I cannot believe he's going to be home for good tomorrow! :wow:

You will have my prayers and very best wishes on your interview day. I know it will be a very tough interview at that consulate, but just remember- they cannot prove it's fraudulent if it is not. And they cannot say it isn't real love, because it is! Be honest and straightforward and the truth shall set you free. I believe that with all my heart. :)

  4. Glad you made it home safely, Jules. Hug your babies tight to make up for your arms missing him. :( And you're right, last one!

Personally, if it were me, and they had given me the interview date, I wouldn't say a word at this point, I'd just take the corrected form with me. They approved your P3 stuff enough to give you an interview, right? And they didn't say anything then. I'd be afraid if I emailed them now they may say to send it or some ridiculous thing that could hold things up - you never know with them.

I would think the worst that will happen is they will tell you at the interview that you need a corrected one. IF they ask for it, give it to them right then. But I sure wouldn't bring their attention to something they may have missed.

That's my two cents. I'll be cheering for you at that interview.

  5. So here is the latest update on our case. After talking to the embassy representative this morning we were informed that we are on Mandatory Adminstrative Processing and it can take upto two months. I dont have any idea what Mandatory Adminstrative Processing means and why it is such a long wait. I was told at the interview nothing is wrong with our case only problem is the damaged passport which i have taken care of in a short period of time. Now whom should i trust? seems like there is no value for love and our life is the hands of people who have mighty powerful pen in their hands. Christmas wedding, New year together all seems blury now :(

Oh, no, Zahid, that's awful! :( If they are going to do something like that, or if there is even a possibility, they should tell you AT the interview, not let you leave thinking your good to go once you fix your passport. I don't UNDERSTAND why a case would even go into AP once it's been APPROVED TWICE! Once with an NOA2, and once at an interview, isn't that what the process is for??

I know they do this with certain countries more than others, Marie is really worried this might happen to her as well. Zahid, I'm so sorry. :(

  6. So here's an update and a lesson ....

We received P3. Fiance completed medical (results to arrive monday) ...no vaccines required...(I was sure he would have to take a few and finish the rest here). And guess what ...I could technically email the embassy and request an interview date but bc I have not completed everything on my end (i.e. prepare all the docs, proof of relationship and financial stuff) we have to wait before I send the email.

Lesson: start preparing early! hehehehe blush.gif

Wow, Marie! That's so great that things can roll right along once you have the paperwork ready. It must feel fantastic to finally have CONTROL of something, as opposed to being at the mercy of the government. You know I'm still saying all kinds of prayers that you guys are the rare ones that continue to sail right through after the interview with no hold ups.

Awww I'm so excited for you!!!! What a wonderful Christmas present you guys are getting! kicking.gif

I fly back home tomorrow, miss my kids but not very excited about it. Damo has his interview on the 22nd, but he isnt planning on coming over until the middle of march, and our wedding is set for the first couple of weeks of April, we are going to sit down and set a date tonight, which is exciting. I keep trying to move his poe date up haha. but he wants to save up some money before coming over to cover the wait time of the EAD. I keep teasing him that once he has the visa in hand, he will have a ####### day at work and then call me and say he is coming tomorrow haha.

Im so happy to hear all the good news on here. Im headed off to meet Damo for lunch, he is at work, and then hang out with him for the rest of the day there since its my last day here. Hugs to everyone! Talk to yall when I'm back in the states!

    Jules

Thanks, Jules! :) Last year was a really awful Christmas for my family, won't go into "poor me" drama here. But, suffice to say, this is going to be the opposite of that Christmas in every way, and the wedding is giving my family something to be happy about and look forward to.

I'm sorry you're going home tomorrow. boo to that. I'm sure your kids will be so excited to see you, but the leaving is the hardest part of this whole dumb thing. but you said it yourself the other day - this will be the LAST last time!! Remember that when you get on that plane. "Never again. Never again!!"

    Have a safe return home.

  7. Same here, 3 business days. My fiance interviewed last Friday, and got the visa yesterday, Wednesday. So yeah, I concur that if you didn't have any extra documents to send in afterward, 10 days should be more than enough time. (but I was super worried too ;) as we have a ticket for the 15th, so I know how you feel.)

  8. Sorry to have not responded sooner, Richard. Things have been a little crazy in preparation for my fiance's arrival! We never got around to checking the website either. We had planned to only check it once we got the text, since we knew nothing would show before then. but when he got it without any text at all, I don't think he ever checked.

I'm sorry you didn't get the news you wanted to hear, even more sorry that you have to rearrange flight plans at this time of year. I hope it is sorted and they are in your hands soon!

  9. Thanks, everyone. :) Kristin - he's getting packed more and more now. It's tough before it's actually in your hand. But boy, is it ever real now! We both have a ton to do to get ready.

I'm out of my mind excited. And extremely, incredibly grateful. To the universe, powers that be, etc for helping us through all of this. And to every person here whoever answered a question for me, or took the time to record any pitfalls they encountered and allowed me to learn from their experience.

I am so grateful for finding Visa Journey.

  10. i had a chat with the embassy people this morning and the lady over the phone said that the change of passport number is not a problem. all i need to do is send them the new passport and they will do all the correction and the good news is i will get my passport this week only..YAY

YAY! Zahid and Margarita will be together soon!!! :D Let us know the second you get the visa in your hands. I am so happy for you.

Our interview will be January 4th. Dave is hoping Santa brings a plane ticket to get there. LOL!!! He dislikes the sleeper train!

Thank you very much. Me and Margarita are still very possitive about the Christmas wedding. all depends upon the embassy people how soon they will send me the passport back with visa on that. My first post after getting the visa in hand will be here only. 4th january is approaching means one more good news to hear:)

Fantastic news, Zahid! You must be so thrilled, it's the pits to get so close to the finish line and have something (potentially) snag you up. I never doubted for a second that you'd take care of that! A Christmas wedding - so beautiful. Truly happy for you.

  11. Hi everyone! So Im still here with my sweetheart! Getting lots of hugs and kisses, he is actually kissing me on the cheek as im typing this and im having alot of typos rofl. Hitting the backspace key alot haha. Now for the update! On friday we got our packet 4 and his interview is on December 22!!! wohooo! An approval would be a great christmas present.

Lol now Damo is behind me playing on his guitar haha. I think he is trying to distract me awwwww. Hugs to everyone!!

Congrats to you all the got your approvals!! Im so happy for yall!

    Jules

Yay!!!!! Congrats on the interview date! December seems to be a lucky month for us. I better knock on wood :bonk:

Patiently waiting to hear some news this evening. India is a day ahead so I will know the results this evening. My stomach is in a knot right now.

I'm sending you all good vibes and wishes, Star! Don't worry, it'll be great!

  12. Awwww yay! Congrats on your interview date, Jules! I got butterflies and got all excited reading about you being with him right now. I cannot WAIT to see Neil! I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it! It's been over five months, and now he'll be here so soon! You guys will be together forever so soon, what a wonderful Christmas present!

Zahid, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow when you march into that passport office. True love will not be swayed!:thumbs: I know you'll take care of business in there and Kristin is right, as soon as you do - it'll be Visa City.
