  1. They told me our case will never show up in the system, so I'm not too worried. They have it, they can see it, eventually we will get approved. They can see your case on the USCIS computer regardless of what service center put it in, so if they say they can see it I wouldnt worry that its lost. Ours doesnt show up but when I randomly type in other numbers from that same day theres others that do. I would just relax and not stress yourself out because it is in the system. If they tell you "it will be 6 months from X date" then they can see your NOA1, so it is there somewhere.

I tried that too. I typed in all kinds of numbers and saw other visa and if they were pending or got approved. then I was wondering if they could tell that somebody from the same IP is accessing all these cases and stopped. Do you think they can see something like that? Had the idea to find somebody with a k-1 that got approved maybe in march, but isn't on vj. sounds like waste of time, but I got a lot of time to waste right now.

  2. did you guys see this timeline http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=39877

somebody got approved with their noa1 date being the last day of february. that's pretty close to march, don't you think?

Just wondering if you are able to access your case online? We have the same submission and NOA1 date but so far have been unable to access our case online. Thanks.

our case is online. but it has never changed. never had a touch. which we might have had but they never updated it. didn't you call them? did they say they found your case? if so I wouldn't worry, because I don't think they are updating the status online. but I understand it feels like your case doesn't exist.

what I think is interesting though is, that some cases must get updated, because people post their noa2 dates, before they got their hard copy. like always it is impossible for us to find out what really is going on.

hopefully we get our noa2 soon, so we don't have to worry about the uscis website anymore.

  3. ^^^ same...but pending March 3

I stopped checking the status online but I do check my mailbox everyday. So far nothing but bills and takeout menus. eww

Has anyone started assembling the papers for the post-NOA2 part of the process? It's giving me a headache. I don't know where to start.

I printed all the forms that I believe I need. Also the one you have to do online. I will fill them out by hand and when I come closer to needing them I will do everything on the computer.

    DS-156

    DS-156k

    DS-230

    birthcertificate copy (not yet though),

    police record (not yet though),

evidence of ongoing relationship (so far just phone records)

I-134 Affidavit of support (my fiance won't worry about it until he needs to, he likes to wait until the last minute)

    required vaccinations, if any (hpv,...)

    Did I forget anything?

  4. Submit H-1B petition to correct USCIS Service Center. All petitions should be sent to either California or Vermont, depending on the place of intended employment for the H-1B worker. All cap-exempt petitions should be submitted to the California Service Center.

I guess CSC does get more applications for H-1B.

    Hey,

anyone else who can't access the uscis website??? Maybe they are working on their new system. Just wanted to see our petition in the non-working system, you are right, there is no reason for me to read for the 1000 time that our petition is pending :)

  5. Have a question to anyone who knows the answer.

I have had two J-1 visas before and therefor I had a SSN for the time my j-1 visas were valid. On the I-129F was asked if the beneficiary has a SSN. Of course it is not valid right now, but once I am legal to work again I will get the same number. At least I got the same number when had my second J-1 visa. Now I am wondering if it was right to give then my SSN or if they now think I have a work permit. I think I will call them tonight (good reason anyways to maybe find out what's happening at csc)

If somebody is in the same situation or has heard of a case like this before it would be a relief to hear if I have done the right thing.

Thank you and wake up USA it is time to get to work (on our petitions :) )

As far as I can say, you have done the right thing by providing your SSN. My Fiance' has a SSN too and we put the number on the petition as well. I had asked a Lawyer before I did it, so if I were you I wouldn't be concerned with it at all. Let's just hope that CSC wakes up and gets back to approving our petitions asap!!!

Thank you for your answer. I thought giving my SSN, even though I can't currently work with it, would be better than pretending I don't have one. Didn't call uscis yet. I tried and it said I would be charged an international dialling rate, which I didn't know how much it is.

So Wes called today, we were told by the lady that we will never appear online because the old system is broken. All new apps are apparently going into a new system but the old ones won't be added in because of something or anothers....whatever. As usual, all we heard was it will be 6 months from your NOA2 date. I hope its this month, I really really do. On the plus side I think I figured out why its going so slowly atm. The H1B startup was last month. They are almost at their cutoff so hopefully things will balance again soon.

yeah, was thinking about the same thing. but why is vermont approving? do they not get the h-1b? I had thought about an h1b for myself before, but the last two years the cap was reached on the first day. and this year...they were asking people to still apply a week later because they hadn't reached the cap yet...crazy.

maybe that's why its taking up the entire april.

something really needs to happen. every approval is exciting cause it is one step closer to ours. that's why I didn't mind the wait in the beginning, now I check the timelines three times a day and they look the same since almost a week :crying:

alright, alright, I'll stay positive  although I am going  (love that smily)

  7. Well, it looks like April has come and gone. As for us on this thread, except for the expedite, it seems that none of us have gotten the NOA2. Bummer! I looked at the graph on the Immigration timeline and it looks as though March and April were REALLY slow.

Hopefully May will be a good month, or, at least, I want it to be a good month. May is significant to me because that how everything started for me. It will be one year.

that's funny. mat and i met first on may, 17th 2000. must be an awesome month :) did you guys see vermont. i think they all drank a bunch of red bull and got wings. at least they are approving like they did. maybe they trade each month and csc will go back to k-1 in may. trying to find something that gives us hope. just hope the swine flu won't affect anything......nah don't think so.....

  8. welcome blu! hope you brought some approvals with you. you didn't?? well...that's ok, cause I didn't either...see we're all starting to go a little crazy.

At least the sun is shining today in northern Germany. It is weired, never have had such a beautiful april weatherwise. otherwise....let's not talk about it...

alright...welcome again and to some fun posting....not much else to do these days

    have a good day

  9. Where is this fast boat?..... where?

    it sunk...haha

guess we really shouldn't complain, but uscis made us all think, that approvals are possible within 30-40 days. sometimes i think somebody grabbed the wrong box with feb petitions. who knows... we'll never know. just really hoping i can be in the us by september. our best friends are getting married. and I need to be there!!! and if I am too late for that then I might miss my grandparents diamond anniversary (60 years!!) in december because i won't get my ap in time. don't you guys think i qualify for an expedite :) my grandparents are 84 and 81 and it would break their heart if I couldn't be there.

really hoping may will be our month.

  10. got a question: I keep reading that people get their interview date in a letter. All the other visas I have had, I got to pick a date. I am assuming it is different with the K-1. What does it depend on when you get your interview? Just the consulat or how fast I do things once I get packet 3? Still haven't read enough to know about the whole process. Better start :).

getting really tired of not know in when things will happen. will start a job soon and my employer asked three times when I will leave. Just wanted to slap him and yell I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! I'd almost rather wait longer and have a specific date. enough of my complaining, doesn't help anyways, does it?

everyone enjoy the weekend and maybe somebody can help me with my question.

  11. Looks to me like they stopped with the March Filers, and are getting the unfinished Nov-08 thru Feb-09 people approved. :( Hopefully they will get those done fast and get back to approvals for new K-1's!

Exactly what I thought last night. Isn't that weired. Hopefully there aren't too many left. Too bad that not every one who filed a petition has a timeline online. We would have a better idea about approvals. I am hoping they will throw in some March filers soon to make everyone believe that it goes pretty fast. Still strange that so many Feb Filers got approved so quickly and then it stopped. And then you look at VSC where it seems like multiple petitions get approved per day. Not that those petitions are recent ones, but they seem to be moving quicker right now.

Isn't it frustrating, no matter how much we research things, we'll never know when we'll be approved. I got a bottle of champagne ready that I will open for the first March Filer Approval (without an expedite).

To all of us anxiously waiting

  12. Happy Birthday :)

Maybe we should all find a topic we would like to chat about. I am trying to think of one.....maybe what is everyone else doing next. Are you guys going to take the medical right before the interview? Which forms can already be filled out? ..and so on. I figured that there can be a lot of time wasted when I am not prepared when I get the packet 3.

Maybe that gives everyone something to do besides being sad all the time. Everytime I work on something like a form I feel like I come close to seeing my loved one again.

I have beem dating my fiancee since the summer of 2000. We've been separated numerous times. I can deal with it this time pretty good, because it will finally be the last time. I am trying to enjoy time with my family as much as I can, because I know I won't be able to come back all the time.

Maybe that helps the very desperate ones of you. Although when I think back nothing really helps when you wake up in the morning and feel like crying.

I wish you all a good weekend and maybe we can find something interesting to chat about since we are all about on the same timeline.

    Fran :)

  13. About the ticker again... Tryed to do mine like yours. How did you get it to show the the numbers from 1-31 and the heart at the right time. And also yours says 21 days since we got our NOA1. Maybe I went to the wrong catagory. look at mine, it is all screwed up.

just noticed that we filed on the same day. you guys met on april's fool day and filed on St. Patrick's Day....cool.

  14. Exactly. It is such a strange expression. What is the definition of extreme hardship??!!?!??? Nothing based on feelings can be defined because everybody feels different. Don't know if I am making any sense.

I need one of those fun pics counting the days like everyone else has. Sounds like something I can waste time finding one. Got enough time to waste :)

    happy easter

  15. I just returned from the US being an Au Pair for 18 months. On your fiancee's DS-2019 on the very bottom left of her document it will show you if she is subject to the HHR. I wasn't. If I am informed correctly, the HHR only applies if the applicant is financially supported by a German company/government, because they want the applicant to work in Germany and contribute with the knowledge they paid for.

    Good luck with everything,

    Fran
