I wouldn't worry. They seem very accommodating. My phrases were: for reading “Who can vote?” and for writing “Citizens can vote”. For the rest of the interview, she can use a translator.

    Hi everyone!

I had my interview today! It was only me (no spouses allowed inside). I arrived 15 minutes early and after going through security, I checked in with an officer who entered my information to a computer, put a stamp on my interview NOA and then sent me to the second floor (Denver office). I sat for three minutes and an officer came to look for me.

The interview was very straightforward, first he asked for documents to check that my marriage was still going (I provided bank statements, home insurance and mortgage).

Then, he did the 6/10 test, the English test on a tablet (one question for reading and one for writing). Then, he went through the application questions and requested clarification on two minor things. After that, he said he would recommend me for Naturalization and asked if I wanted to become a citizen today, so I said yes.

He gave the Oath of Allegiance, I signed a couple of forms and he asked me to go out to the waiting room so he could go and get my certificate. I waited for a minute and he came out with my certificate, some paperwork (to explain how to apply for a passport, change social security, etc) and a cute US flag.

He congratulated me and I was gone in 30 minutes.

    I'm now a US Citizen!

Good luck to all of you who are still in the process. May 2021 be the year for you to also become US Citizens.

    All the best.

I had my interview at Des Moines last Friday. It was quick and straight to the point.
The IO checked my home passport although expired, my 10 year resident card and driver's license. Afterwards, it was civic test.
How many amendments does the constitution have?
Who wrote the declaration of independence?
What did the declaration of independence do?
What is the political party of the president?
What are the two major political parties in the United State?
I cannot remember the last one. But went straight to English and followed up with Yes and No questions. After that, I got the congratulation letter and a notification for that I was in line for oath ceremony while I was still in their office. On my drive home, I got the email that I have been scheduled. Waiting for the letter😊

I got no notification but USCIS will reuse the biometrics. I just saw that notice dated December 14th under Documents tab.

Don't trust those timings. They are never accurate. Mine says July 2021 and I have my interview in 8 days.

    Guys!!

I just got a receipt that my biometrics will be reused. Notice dated 12/14. I filed my initial application on 4/1. Also, it looks like my completion date moved back up from May 2021 to April 2021.

    I'm in San Francisco.

Time to study up the civics!

I woke up to a text message (sent at 4:34am) saying "We have taken an action on your case and it needs your attention."

I immediately log in to see
December 11, 2020 Interview Was Scheduled
On December 11, 2020, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number XXXXXXX. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice.
I checked the documents section and see that there's a notice from December 10 saying that they would reuse biometrics. The interview letter is not posted, so I have no idea when the interview is scheduled for.
Our filing date was April 21, 2020 and field office is Reno. The case completion estimate had been bumped back from September to October, November and then finally December. So I guess the last one was the lucky charm.

    Hi peeps,
I do not post a lot but was lurking this thread for months.

Well, I had my interview + ceremony combo today! Applied April 5, notice of bio reuse on October 16 and interview today. Phoenix, AZ.
Had an interview at 8am, waited for about 30 minutes. Interview was about 20 minutes. Then waited for about extra 30 minutes for the ceremony. Got out around 10:30-11.
Interview was straight forward - biographical verification (phone number, address, SSN,....), civics, read & write followed by no, no, no, no, no,... yes, yes, yes... questions  My IO was very pleasant and professional. Was not even asked for any of the original documents.

Wishing you all good luck. It sure pays off! I can finally say I am a proud American! Can't wait to "cancel" my husband's vote in the next federal elections, hee hee

Interview was today. Took 10 minutes and approved. Ceremony in a week. Very quick and painless!

Basic questions about the application, followed by civics test, followed by reading (on a tablet) and writing (on a tablet). All of that was followed by additional yes/no questions about the application (were you ever doing anything illegal, etc)

Good news! I just received a message saying that my interview has been scheduled! I don't know for what date, I have to wait until tomorrow for them to upload the NOA to My USCIS account or wait to receive the notification in the mail. I will update you all when I know the date. As a reminder, my local office is Denver, CO.

@ShpatBeqa since we had the biometrics appointment the same day, have you received any updates today?

The 6 questions were from the list of questions published by the USCIS (the old version). Just go through it beforehand, and you should be fine. Besides that, the officer will go through your application with you including the Yes/No questions we answered at the end of the application. Yes, at the end of my interview, the officer indicated I was approved, informed me there was a oath ceremony this upcoming Friday, and asked me if I wanted to be included in this one. I said yes, and I left already with a copy the notice to appear to the oath ceremony. Good luck!!

    Hi All,
My interview was this morning, super straight forward and approved at the spot. The oath ceremony was already scheduled for this upcoming Friday. Can't believe I am so close to the end of this waiting game! Good luck everyone. Seems like they are slowly getting through the case load.

Some people say yes. Some have referred to bio as a bottleneck.
But there are a few cases of people stuck forever waiting for the interview despite having an original appointment.
So, I would hope so but I would not assume so.
I would go by the timeline the center has and add a year to it-b/c they can keep on adding to their timeline to ward off queries (as if we are fools, seriously, most  on here have double grad degrees, double PhDs, books,, tenure). so right now KCMO has 18 months. for a March applicant in 2020, this shows completion about a year from  now. I'd add a year to it and we have November 2022.
It's the political establishment who has to bash USCIS' heads in before they fix themselves. Not us. they will clamor and badger Biden for money and if the Georgia runoffs don't go to the Dem candidates, no money will be forthcoming.

We are also. Most of us are. I find it encouraging that some people are moving forward but it's case by case, office by office now. Our estimated completion date is February 2021.

I sure hope they reuse our biometrics. We have to fly to Honolulu for all appointments.

There's so many of us in exactly the same situation, nothing has happened since we submitted our applications in April (this is, after all, April filers). Some people are starting to show progress, so instead of pissing us off that should be hopeful to us that eventually, on their own timeline, not ours, our applications will be processed.

For marriage based visas, many of us have been through this many times already, and the process takes time, and it's very frustrating. And then out of the blue there's movement on our cases.

You house purchase? Was that predicated on obtaining citizenship? If so, how is that anybody else's fault? In the best of times USCIS is unpredictable.

We all understand your frustration, but please try to be patient.
