  1. Hi! I experienced that too on what you experience right now... I was so worried that my visa packet was torn by 1 cm. I want to bring it back to USEM so that they can reseal it but I didn't do that because it takes time for them to reseal it... When I was on the plane I was so nervous because of my visa packet has a torn but thanks God when I arrived at LAX, the immigration officer was so nice.... I didn't say anything about my packet that has a torn and he didn't ask me either.

Good luck and have a safe trip to you!

Hi, thanks for your reply. That made me feel well. How did you know though that it will take time to get it resealed.

  2. Hi, I am also paranoid with my envelope. It has a very small cut on the opened edge. Half centimeter. I swear I didnt attempt to open it. It may be caused by me though when I packed it somewhere. Could I have it resealed? Will one day be enough to process the resealing of envelope?

  3. Hi everyone,

Now I am worried. My flight is on Sunday, and I am worried about my yellow envelope -- the visa packet from US embassy.

Remember it has an opened part or a notch at one corner? I just noticed now that it has a half centimeter torn. I swear I did not attempt to open it. It probably was caused by me when I forced to put it in a package it does not fit well last night. But not that I want to open it. Stupid of me.

Can someone tell if this happened to them, and if they encounter any problems?

Is it still possible to have US embassy replaced the envelope for me even my flight is on Sunday?

    Thanks

  5. Hi, my fiance just bought me a ticket and my point of entry is Portland, (PDX) in Oregon.

I am worried about my layover from Portland to Salt Lake City. It is only two and a half hours. I think PDX is a small airport, do you think I will be able to get to my next flight in time?

Just another info, my multiple flights are all operated by one airline company.

    Thanks.

  6. yeah like they said and also bring a parent consent they will ask you that too. like me i had my CFO interview at ST.MARY. just go there after you get your visa so that no need to come back again to do a registration.

Hi, I am going to attend the seminar too at St. Mary's. Do I have the parent's advice notarized? Or Can I bring it without notarization from a lawyer. I am 24.

    Thanks.

yeah you should bring parent's consent with a lawyer notarized on it . Age that need to bring parent's consent is 25 age below.

Does this apply even you already got a visa? No exemption? Well, I just want to avoid the notarization fees.

  8. My visa was approved today, and I am thankful for VJ.

We are now looking for flights to SLC.

My fiance wants to pick me up at SLC airport, that means connecting flights / switching planes. What are the problems of multiple flights on first trip to US with k1 visa?

    Example:

MNL > SFO (POE) > SLC

MNL > LAX (POE) > SLC

MNL > Hong Kong > San Francisco (POE) > Salt Lake City

I hope you could tell me what problems I can encounter if I dont take one flight.

    Thanks.

  9. Hi,

I am confused on what to answer on Question 8 and 9 found on DS- 156.

I have never been married so no other surnames or other names. I found the example form of VJ having NONE as answers to these questions. But if I search other resources online, the other guides say that you have to leave it blank if there's none (even saying don't dare to put anything if you really don't have one)

What do I really have to do? Can someone share their experience if NONE or leaving them blank works for their application?

Also, I don't have a National Identification Number (question 14). So that should be NONE as well too, right? Or leave blank?

I would really appreciate your help. My interview is on October 22.

    Thanks a lot.

  10. 1. The DS 3025 from SLEC, it said at the bottom Page 1 of 2. Should there be 2 pages? I only have 1 page and that is the vaccination record.

    Thanks so much.

My DS 3025 doesn't have the name of the Panel Physician but has the signature. How about yours?

  11. The general requirement is that she has it before the interview date.

From an immigration standpoint, and considering what visa you are applying for, ideally, it should be current...that way the USEM doesn't have any doubts about the applicant contracting marriage within such a short period.

The funny thing is, it takes about 3 weeks to get a CENOMAR (guys, correct me if I am wrong about this)...and 10 business days to get a marriage license...there's some room for doubt there. lol But very little.

I live in QC, and got my CENOMAR from NSO located in East Avenue. It took me about 9 business days to get it. But actually, I took another one to make sure I got the latest, and I picked it up after 4 business days.

  12. tuesday afternoon is the best time, good luck. abby n sheryl

I went at 3pm today (tuesday). I was quick filling out the forms since the cashier closes at 4. Anyway, I was able to get through all the tests and finished at 5pm. We were only 4 applicants that time, so we almost stuck together on each step, but that's fine since no other people were getting in line.

  13. I am preparing the I-149F form. Our first names doesn't fit in the boxes. So instead of filling it out using Adobe Reader, I am just going to write it down. I don't want my fiance to write it on his own for it would not turn out legible. Now, I want to know if it is okay if I signed in the E. part that says:

Part E. Signature of person preparing form, if other than above. (Sign below.)

I declare that I prepared this application at the request of the petitioner and it is based on all information of which I have knowledge.

Firstly, you're talking about the I-129F form? I've never heard of the I-149F form. Secondly, by all means write out instead of typing a legible name. If you're just writing out the name, and nothing else, I'd not be signing saying you prepared it. Your fiance has to fill out the G-325A form btw. If you're worried about the neatness of any of the forms, fill them out yourself, and have them sign in their own handwriting. If you're filling out the whole forms then I'd sign part E.

I-129F is the petition form that the petitioner should fill out. I will fill out everything because I am concerned about the neatness. Thanks for your answer.

  15. My fiance is filling out the G-325A form. He has lived about 10 residences in five years. There are only six lines in the form.

I suggested to him that he makes an attachment, but what will be the title of that attachment? How would we indicate there is an attachment? Thanks a lot.

He was in college on about 3 years, living away from his parents. Then in Philippines for 8 months, and about 1.5 years back in US.

The title can be "attachment sheet for G-325A"

Make each entry identify the question it is answering.

Write "See attachment" on the last line of the box/answer you are filling in.

He may also write various addresses, College Name, City, State and a date range. G325a is biographical. Abbreviation and abridgement is ok. Concealment is not.

Thanks to both of you =)
