  1. Was that a U.S. Navy base in Japan?

Yes, it was a navy base in Japan. But I was not automatically a USC because my dad wasn't a USC at that time. We didn't get citizenship till 1996.

 Someone may have gotten their natz certificate in one name, then had a name change (due to marriage, divorce, etc). The form tries to cover all types of scenarios.

So which one do I put the certificate number, date, and place? On the part were it says "naturalization" or were it says if obtain certificate in my name? Thank you

  2. Hello everyone, I just have a question regarding the I-I29F form. Question 10 asked, "My citizenship was acquired through either Birth in the U.S. or Naturalization? and then underneath it it says to enter certificate number, date and place it was issued. After that it asked if I have obtained a certificate of citizenship in my name. I was born inside a navy base in Japan in 1981. I didn't become a US citizen till 1996. So I marked "naturalization" and entered the certifcate #, date and place issued. Then I also marked "yes" for obtaining a citizenship under my name and used the same certificate #, date and place issued. Is that correct? I have the same info for naturalization and obtaining a certificate of citizenship in my name. Confused?????

  3. Hello All, I'm the USC and my fiance is currently in the Philippines. We are in the process of filing our I-129F, but are waiting on the paper work for his annulment. My fiance already got the decision from the court that he is annulled. The attorney told him that he needed to wait 15 days after the decision to get the letter of finality. My friend is currently in the Philippines and my fiance is suppose to give her the letter of finality. But Im thinking it won't come out on time before she leaves. So my fiance said he will just mail it to me. I don't want that to happen because lately I have not been receiving any mail from him from the Philippines. For some reason they are either getting lost or someone is taking them. Because even the things that I send him from a month ago he still hasn't received yet. So Im wondering if I can go ahead and mail out the I-129F package without the letter of finality and just send the annulment decision and just send the letter of finality when I get it. I hope this make sense and someone can help me. Thank you

  4. Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and have enjoyed every single post on here. It's been very helpful to me and my fiancee especially now that we are getting ready to file our K1. Our question is on the I-129f form on Part B (information about your alien fiance) on the marital status we are confuse about which one we should choose. My fiance used to be married and his annulment just got approve last week and Im just waiting for him to send me the certificate of finality. Do I choose that he is single or divorced. I'm not exactly sure because there is no divorce in the Philippines??? Pls help. Also on the Biometric form, on the bottom of the page it ask for an alien registration number for my fiancee? What exactly is the alien registration form?

  5. Hello, i'm new here and need advice. My fiance is currently living in the Philippines. He is right now in the process of filing his annulment which we hope is going to be finish my August. As soon as everything is settled with his annulment, we will be filing the fiance visa. Just recently though he was offered a job in Canada. So now we are kind of stuck. They want him to leave soon. Contract is for 2 years. Can we still file the fiance visa even if he goes to Canada or should we just wait till his contract is over? If we can file the fiance visa, what would we need to do next? Any advice would be great. Thanks

  6. It's not a "change of address". Mail goes to the address on the envelope. USCIS will mail to the address you give them. It's up to you who has the new private mailbox address and who doesn't but it's "your" private address. Mail addressed to your house will go to your house.

Great! I called my local UPS store and it seems like that may work out. Just.. a couple more questions!! Because there are several different places that the address is needed for different forms.

I-129F: Part A, #2 Address (Number and street)

I-129F: Part B, #14 Address in the United States where your fiance plans to live

G-325A: Applicants residence for last 5 years

Should I list my UPS Mailbox address on Part A, #2 of the I-129F in order to have all coorespondence from USCIS be sent to my UPS mailbox?

Should I list my current residence (though my boyfriend and I will move into an apartment after getting married) for Part B, #14 of the I-129F form?

Thanks for all your help!! We really do appreciate it!:D

B #14 can be "to be determined, City"

G-325a, I would use it as your current address. It's just biographical, not an interrogation.

Okay, so then Part A #2 would be my UPS Mailbox? And then all corespondence from USCIS would be sent there?

So, to add to her question, B # 14 I can put on the application "to be determined, City" and I don't need to put an exact address? Will USCIS accept that? I'm afraid of it getting returned....
