  1. I just finish my counseling and cfo this morning!

I arrived at 7am. I'm in no.4.... they started calling our name by 7:30... photocopy your passport and visa if any to avoid delay....

They gave me 2 sets of forms (2pages each.. back to back) Be sure you memorize or have a copy of tel.no, address, etc of your fiance(e)...

Important tip: once you finish your first form give it to the employee... (they will tell you which form will be the first to fill up) It became very helpful to me.... coz, after group counseling, they will call all the attender one by one... according to the time you pass the FIRST FORM!

i'm in no.2.... so lucky coz, only four of us got finish before lunch break! the rest will wait after one hour!!!!

I had my certificate and CFO sticker before lunch break! thank God....

go to St. Mary like Edward_Cherry said... you will be okay and it was very helpful.. you will learn a lot....

    God bless

  2. dont bother about the vaccination sis ur an IR1 no more USCIS for us until you are ready to file your citizenship after 3 years!

thank you very much sis.... I'm ready to go! yahooooo!!!!

In the releasing of my vaccination worksheet... the girl explain to me that I can have my additional vaccination in the states after 2 months. I just need to present my vaccination info to any doctor or hospitals in the states.

very well said ms.chox......... thanks for your input...

  3. They do not give vaccinations at the airport lol. You will go to a US civil surgeon to update your vaccinations after you arrive and before you file your I-485.

thank you Lord. thank you! thank you! today 14th of February, I just received my visa!!!

I wil have my CFO on Monday at St. Mary's in QC...

I have a little question: Am I going to receive vaccination at the port of entry? (my POE: SFO) If I'm correct, the nurse at st.luke's explain that I will have my dosage in US (Tdap)

thanks for giving any input.... God bless you all my friends!

Take that back. You're IR1? You shouldnt be asked to take any more vaccinations.....

lol... thank you for quick reply... yes I'm IR1... so no need for another vaccine? but my vaccination documentation worksheet says that Tdap vaccine check under insufficient time interval.... confuse???

  4. My interview experience at USEM

I’m sharing my experience for the benefits of those who are going to have their interview… hope it helps…

One month before my schedule date, my husband received my appointment letter… from then on, my stomach was filled with little butterflies, and my heart beat faster every time I think of my interview…

    So I had four weeks before my interview;

I spent my first week for my medical.

During my second and third week it “project making”. My project making was preparing for my documents… I used 2 ¼’s cartolina (paste it together to make it hard but still flexible to pass through window) as back cover (with different colors) and “extra plastic slot” (don’t know the term, I brought it at bookshop, with hole on the side of it) and fastened it with round fastener…

Folder 1: yellow folder for my identification documents, BC, MC, CENMAR, NBI, POLICE CLEARANCES anything about me… (Yellow is my favorite color) hehe

Folder2: blue folder for my husband’s identification documents, BC, MC, CENMAR, PASSPORT (copy), NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE, EMPLOYMENT LETTER…

Folder3: green folder for my husbands tax: ITR, 1040EZ, W-2…

Folder4&5 are proof of ongoing relationship:

Folder4: pink folder: emails, yahoo screen shots, call history, wedding invitations, wedding cards (from guests)

Folder5: bank accounts, account statement (showing his remittances), joint affidavit from witnesses (they are our godparents), copy of airline tickets, passport stamps.

    Folder 6&7 are pictures:

Folder 6: red folder: picture of my husband and I together with our friends, family. (Note: I took only one photo per place, ex. Baguio, Ilocos Norte, Biak na Bato)

Folder 7: red folder: our wedding pictures… I scanned our wedding pictures because our original album is too thick (6inches!) but I brought it though for backup…

PLASTIC ENVELOPE no.1 – ATM receipts. (advantage: they can easily see what’s inside, no need to open it, very visible and easily pass through the window slot)

PLASTIC ENVELOPE no.2 – PHONE BILLS

PLASTIC ENVELOPE no. 3 – OLD CARDS

PLASTIC ENVELOPE no.4 – snail mail and postal envelope and receipts.

And my last week before my interview date was:

I spent my week on reviewing, reading forums, reading others experiences and most especially I spent my time, reading bible, attending religious gathering, praying a lot, preparing my mind, my heart and my soul for the coming interview… I ask God to give me presence of mind and help me to focus on my business…. I also prepare myself for any possibilities and ACCEPT it… whatever it is… ACCEPT IT. My husband told me that: Whatever happen its God’s will! Amen.

And its very effective… all the butterflies are gone, heartbeat is normal, God gave me presence of mind and alertness. I never felt nervous during the whole process of interview and that’s because of God.

And while waiting for my number to be flash, I’m assisting senior citizens around me that their numbers are flashing and guiding them to the proper window… hehe. What a great feeling helping our lolas… grandmas

One grandma beside me was holding her chest, she had difficulty on breathing because she’s nervous, I calm her by saying it’s okay, that nothing to worry about, etc. etc… and I feel much better calming her.. lol.

Answered prayer: I also ask God to give me kind and nice pre-screener and CO… and indeed they were sooooo kind… I also ask God to sent me an angel and God sent angel for me… my Filipina pre-screener is very beautiful, angelic face, she’s smiling and she’s impress with my docs… especially when I gave my husbands 2008 ITR, she didn’t expect that (gee, everyday I ask my husband to file for his recent tax. Hehehe) when I gave her tax 2008 she said: “oooohhhhhh, he had his 2008!” She asks me questions about “history” of our relationship… etc. etc.

The very first doc she asks was REMITTANCES! When I gave her my atm receipts she said again: “ooohhhh, atm receipts!” then asks for our pictures… she said, okay these are enough, but she saw my PLDT bill that’s why she asks the telephone bill too…

Before I leave the window, I said: “thank you Madame, have a NICE day!” she laugh and said “oh! Thank you. Same to you! GOOD LUCK!”

After that, I saw my number flashing again for CO interview: very light feeling again, very jolly and calm… Once I enter the room, he greeted me,

    CO: MAGANDANG UMAGA POH!

Lecy: Oh! Magandang umaga din po!

CO: Anong gusto mo? Tagalog or English? (smiling)

    Lecy: (laugh) tagalog, sir. (smile)

CO: (laugh) itaas ang kanang kamay… etc. etc. na magsasabi ng katotohanan lamang?

    Lecy: OPO

    CO: OPO! (laugh again)

    CO: what’s your name?

    CO: your birthday

    CO: who’s petitioning you?

CO: date of your husband’s naturalization

    CO: work of your husband

Lecy: Laboratory Animal Technician at Stanford University.

CO: wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wee!!!!!

    We laugh!

We were always laughing, he said that “nahihiya ako, sa tagalog ko, di ako masyadong marunong”

And many more funny conversations… sigh. Thank you Lord, for sending a handsome, nice, gentle angel, in disguise of a consular officer…

CO: wala na akong itatanong, ikaw may tanong ka ba?

Lecy: ano po sasabihin ko sa asawa ko about my visa status?

CO: tell him, it’s APPROVED! Thank you for visiting here in USEM, for taking this interview, etc. etc…

Lecy: I had a wonderful experience, as if I’m talking to a friend…

    CO: laugh again

Lecy: Thank you and God bless sir…

dont bring your whole album coz it wont fit in the window.. just choose 10-20 pics and paste it in a bondpaper, youve been married a long time im sure they will give you an IR-1 visa..

thank you very much.... I scanned our wedding picture! thanks for giving me great idea of not bringing it... I'm very ready for my interview on thursday...

  7. it's okay... I'm 26 now, turning 27 this july... 22 is our age gap..hehehe

oo nga pala hehe...i was out of knowhere. By the way...asko ko din...ive read kc about 650 pesos, is that the documents verification? others pay only $131 for visa processing at BDO...I wanna ask only just to satisfy myself :) Im planning kc to pay tomorrow at Banco De Oro before my medical. Im just hoping that my medical will take only two days so i can go back home on Friday morning. Im still in Manila for my 2nd day medical on your interview date. Good Luck.

bedirisinghe, you file for K1, whereas Lecy is CR1/IR1 visa, so the costing is different :) K1 visa u have to pay the $131, whereas for CR1/IR1 we pay to USCIS/NVC in the US and we dont have to pay at the embassy anymore (except for the medical cost and courier cost). Good luck on your interview!

Lecy, all the best for your interview as well  I was also very nervous (VERY) :) But it went well.. Im sure it will go well for you too. I have posted my interview experience with list of things to bring, u can check my topic if u like. But anyways, i think u are already set to go. :)

thank you for your very warm advice... I really appreciate it...

yes I will visit your post about your interview.... i'm sure i will learn from your experience... thank you and all the best for you and your love...

try to research more, kasi baka old post na yung nabasa mo, yung recent post na nabasa ko kasi tungkol sa document verification eeee... hindi na daw ganon, instead prepare for your cenomar... pero hindi rin ako sure..... pero ako wala akong binayaran para sa document verification....

ipagdarasal kong matapos mo medical mo in two days... and God will hear our prayers...

  9. hello to my fellow VJ MEMBERS special TO those CR-1 FILERS,

do i still need to pay this at the metro bank or no need to pay? :innocent: :innocent:

If you are the principal beneficiary of an F2B, F1 or IR1/CR1 category, we strongly encourage you to pay the document verification fee before your visa interview to avoid unnecessary delay in issuing the visa. The document verification fee is PHP650.00. This document verification fee is NOT the visa application fee.

still true or no just curious...

plssss i need some help about this

i forgot to remember the forum where i read that document verification are no longer used (pls. correct me if i'm wrong) instead we need to bring CENOMAR/CENMAR. check the date of the forum. and i'll try to find recent forum saying that no need to DV....

Good luck...just wanna ask, if u got married on d year 2000 and u are only 22 now, how old were u when u got married?

Dont worry of d age gap, as long as u have enough evidence to satisfy d consul, then u are safe. Share ur experience on Feb.13.

By d way I have few questions to you...

    1. Did u pay d visa processing before or after medical day? (BDO)

    2. what is that documents verification? is that diff from visa processing, if so, where to pay it?

    3. ur medical finished for how many days?

    3. i had my medical last jan21-22... 2 days... i arrived at 5;45am at st.lukes and finished my first day at 11am.. my 2nd day is 9am-10:30am... I'm very thankful to God that I never encounter any problem during my med... except from my aching arms.. ouch! (bcoz of 3 shots of vaccine)

    4. my noa2 is with my husband (he didn't send me a copy), I brought my appointment letter during my med (be sure to have copy of your appointment letter) yes, passport... they will keep your passport and they will forward it to USEM with the result of your med...
