  1. Hello Vjers, I hope you are all doing good.

i have posted this a little before now but I am yet to get a solution which is why i am doing this again.

The USCIS sent NOA 1 dated 26th Nov 2008 for the I130 and 3rd Dec 2008 for the I129f but I am yet to get a response from them, am I the only one in these shoes and what is probably the problem as its obvious we are beyond the expected processing timeframe does it have anything to do with the country of origin of my husband?

repeated calls to the USCIS office have been met with generic responses and I am awaiting contact formt he congressmans office..what do i do next?...should i be concerned?

Yes I would get worried..... I also filed an I-130 Oct24, 2008 and I129-f Nov 17, 2008, and still no approval I have gotten my local congressman involved I think you should do the same and call the USCIS and have a service request put on your case to find out why they are taking so long....

  2. all i can say is USCIS doesn't care about anyone they keep telling me to wait 30 days then they say wait 3 months....I been waiting 8months and still no approval I have no one to turn to what can I do???

8 months?? Time to contact your Senator or Congressman!!!! They can step in now!! Best wishes.

I contacted everyone possible still nothing... I am sitting here crying it's just not fair....

Oh my gosh. What did the senator or congressman say to you when you asked for their help??

I wrote letters they didn't even reply.....:(

Okay ,listen, tomorrow, you call the senator and congressman, they have assistants who handle problems with Immigration.

OR you write a letter, and fax it to them, then YOU CALL them to make sure they got it, and tell them you need their help.

Just writting a letter is easy to ignore, so fax them THEN call them to make sure they got it. Go from there!!!!! Do this tomorrow, okay" promise me you will do this.

    Beth

Hi I got a phone call from my local congressman's office they said they recieved my letter and has contacted the immigration service in Vermont Center to get information about my case and they will call me when they have any new information. How long does it take after congressman contacts the immigration office for me to hear any good news???

  6. I am still waititng I wrote letter to my senators, the first lady, and filed CIS Ombudsman paper work, still no answer... I called USCIS and all I recieved in the mail was to wait another 3 months and call them if it's past 3 months... what else can I do??? I am sick of waiting to tell me to wait more... my friends husbands came from Pakistan with 8 months and I am sitting here waiting more than 8 months with no approval... this is not fair who can i turn to for help????

  7. I am not looking to use this method as I'm almost positive that we're not eligible -- we're just normal folk...

But under what circumstances is one allowed to procure an expedited request? I am just curious....

    Hope everyone's hanging in there...

    :D

Life or death situations, medical reasons, and will need letter from the doctor, humanity reasons, or if military and the petitioner is about to deploy out on orders.

That is about all the reason for a expedite.

Can i reuest an expedite if there are bomb blasts in Pakistan where husband lives almost every week??? I mean this is frustrating i was told to wait 30 days now they are telling me to wait another 3 months and I am still not approved....

  8. Hi I am still waiting for my approval...I have a question maybe you can help me... I filed for I-130 and I filed for I-129f I think my case is on hold because of the 2 petitions... If i don't want to pursure the I-129F anymore what can I do??? Should I write a letter to USCIS and tell them to withdraw my I-129f petition?? Will it take longer for my I-130 to be approved if I withdraw my I-129F? Help me please I keep calling USCIS and they have no information they are telling me to wait 3 months.....I filed I-130 10/24/2008 and it's past my 6 months.................help me please

  10. Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between June 1, 2009 and June 25, 2009* (RFEs at the Vermont Service Center typically add an extra 18 days, which has been added to the estimated processing time).

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between May 1, 2009 and June 2, 2009*.

what should I do??? I wrote to my senators and waititng to see what happens.. I called USCIS and they said they would put a ticket number on it let see what happens.... :(

  11. We were waiting months and months and not even one touch @ USCIS in 6 months! Finally, I contacted my state senator and, lo and behold, our case was touched. I'm sure it had been sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust!

Fortunately, just a few weeks after getting the senator's office involved, they processed our I-130...unfortunately, we got an RFE....but it did get things moving along...and two weeks after we fixed the RFE, we got case approval!

I say if it's been more than six months since you submitted the paperwork....get the state senator involved. That will at least put a fire under the USCIS' butt to get things moving.

    Catie

Thanks so much I feel bad that i waited this long I should of done something sooner, I hope I get an answer from someone soon......

  12. Yes you should call your senetor of state ... right after we contacted them they wrote somthing to USCIS and we approved in 21 days after involving senetors.I pray that me and every one in this journey get succeed.

    Thanks !!!

Thanks so much our cases dates are so similar we were eve married 1 week apart I have written to my senators and hopefully I will hear something soon :)

  13. you are past the 6 months waiting time.. i think you can contact your congressman to do something for you.

    good luck!

Should I email or should I write an official letter???

I would call if that is an option

I called all they said they would put a service request on my case and I will recieve an answer in 45 days.... This is really making me upset my husband is in Pakistan and there are bomb blasts almost everyday....If they lost my case this will really make me upset I better get a fast approval if I have to start over again....

  14. i checked the case status online and they requested evidence on the 21st of this months, but i havn't recieved the letter yet :crying: :crying: :crying: i am so worry that it got lost in mail . can someone tell me please how long they usualy give us to respond to the RFE? 15 or 30 days? and what if it got lost in mail! is there a way to get a copy before they deny my case :crying:

hey don't worry I got that letter yesterday may 26, it was mailed out may 21, and the letter said I have until June 23 to mail the evidence, so i think it must be a month....I already mailed what they asked for....good luck to you :)
