Hi My husband's case was completed Aug 17, 2009 at NVC and waiting for an interview date, NVC operators said interview can't be scheduled in sep there are no open slots and at this time they can't let tell me when, interviews are scheduled the 2nd week of every month for the following month... how much longer should I wait??? Anything I can do on my end to find out sooner??

I recommend calling about once a week. I don't know how busy your embassy is but, I was told the same thing and turns out the embassy in Peru is not so busy. As a result I received an interview date after the 2nd week of the month even though they said they only schedule the 2nd week of every month. So it would be worth while to call once a week if you want to know as soon as possible. I also received an email copy of the interview letter. I think this is because I emailed my DS-3032 so if you did the same you should receive an emailed notice.

It says that the only originals you send are forms i-130 and the g25's .

But Do i send Pictures of us together or photocopy those pictures? for evidence that is

Did they ask you to send pictures of you together??? I send in my and my husband passport pictures I think that those are the only pictures you need to send for the I-130.

So, my case was recently completed on 8/20. The NVC operators that I have spoken to said that they do not schedule interviews until the 2nd week of each month. Is this true? Who can I call to bug about an interview date--the embassy in Kingston or NVC? I don't want to sit by idley for the next 2 weeks. Also, I never received anything in the mail or email saying that the case was complete. Is this ok? Is my husband going to need some kind of verification because other than being confirmed by several different operators and the AVR, I got nothing.

Just wait until you recieve an email or letter, or call during the 2nd week of Sep to see when your spouse should have their interview... I know how you feel I been sitting here waiting and NVC already told me there are no interview dates for Sep just to wait and I and my husband will recieve an email for the appointment letter and just to print it out and bring with him for his medical and interview....

Call NVC again speak to another operator and explain to them your issue and let have them reviewed by a supervisor, My husband's Police Cert didnot have a expiration date only issue date and our case is complete at nvc. Keep calling until someone at NVC will help you...Good luck

Um, I might be wrong, but I thought NVC schedules interviews not ISL embassy. Because I am waiting for an interview date, and NVC said they couldnt get one for September but to call next month and see if they got me an October one. This waiting is killing me. And SSB, not to be the bearer of bad news, but keep in consideration that your husband will most likely be put on AP, which can take quite a while. I pray we both get done soon though. Good luck....

Don't worry I know about AP my brother in-law when through the same thing I know who I need to contact to get it over with

My case was complete on August 17, 2009 the NVC says they don't have an interview date yet to wait for an email, and they said most likely no intreview in the month of september...... I really hope my husband is here for my bday oct 22

Took exactly 2 weeks with a RFE

Congratulations SSB! I know how excited you must be now that you are 1 step closer to having your loved one here! I have a question: How much passed between the time you turned in all of your completed documents and notification of case complete? I'm waiting on my case complete now--it's been 6 days...

I sent the DS-230 on July 29, 2009 NVC recieved it July 31, 2009. NVC entered my DS-230 into the system August 3, 2009, recieved an email on August 7, 2009 stating I was missing documents, I called NVC on the August 10, 2009 to verify what was missing, NVC stated the marriage cert was not valid needed a Nikka Namah, I informed NVC my husband and I are Christian and married in church and attested by the high court in Pakistan where me and my husband were married. A supervisor reviewed the marriage cert again and my case was complete on August 17, 2009.

NOA1 date: January 6th, 2009

After the above notification i never recieved anything from VSC. I called the Congressmans office on monday and faxed them the papers that asked for and on Wednesday they called me back saying that They have talked to the Supervisor at VSC and they will work on your case and sent it over to NVC within a week. They further said to call them mid next week (which will be Aug-19) just to remind them and they will contact VSC again to check the status.

I hope this will work and the Congressman's office said and it will be done soon. I hope so. But nothing has changed on the USCIS website, i mean its still not showin any update....so i dont know...i am anxiously waiting for the Wed/Aug-19 so that i can call and remind the Congresman to please check the status again. Lets see what happens.

USCIS has publihsed that average processing time @ VSC is 5 months and my I-130 is more than 7 months old now and dont see any update on my case or any touches...:-(

Please guide me if there is anything further i can do.

I applied for husband's case October 24, 2008 and I got an approval June 22, 2009 I had to contact a senator and finally something was done, you are doing the right thing it's shouldn't be much longer for an approval. I also emailed the deputy director of USCIS if you want i will pm you his email address.

OMG I just called NVC and they re-reviewed my marriage cert and our case was reviewed by a supervisor and case is completed AUGUST 17, 2009!!!! I just have to wait for them to schedule an interview now!!! I am sooo happy!!!

Same Problem is having with us almost we sent all documents original and we got RFE we dont know why but after talking to NVC by our lawyer they gave us 2 weeks time now and now each day is like forever. hope this journey will end soon and i will with my wife .

You don't need to send in Police Cert again it's just to remind you that you need to make sure it's not expired at the time of your interview, The NVC operator told me that about my case too. In the email it said they were missing my police cert i called the opeartor she said they had the police cert that email just mentioned the police cert should not be expired the time of the interview....

I hope both our journeys end soon.

OMG if you are right im getting so much calm bcz PCC is wayyyyy hard to get for me again and yes my email also said that PCC is missing and we sent original we were very worry . god please make our case comlete and get us visa . AMEN

Yes don't worry your police cert should be fine, but call the nvc operator to verify I am 100% sure that is what it means.... things will work out

I know I been checking all day to check the auto message and it's been busy all day. Why is the auto message not available???

I got a message August 10, 2008 that I was missing documents for my husband's DS-230, I called NVC and they said they needed the Original marriage certificate I verified I did send the original my husband I are Christians and we recieved a cerified copy of marriage from our church which was attested by the high court in Pakistan, NVC said they would review the paper again and within 10 days they will let me know if they require anymore information, I keep calling the NVC to find out if they are done reviewing it but it's a busy signal.... is that normal??? how else can I contact someone at NVC???

I dont know how they missed it but we are told by lawyer wait untill they speaks with NVC . Im praying that all will be fine

I found out what was missing, NVC said it was my Original Marriage Certificate I send my original marriage certificate my husband and I are both Christian and we were married in a church and we have a certified marriage cert but I guess the NVC need local registered marriage cert. I have to call my hubsband tonight to see if he can get that or will he will have to get a letter stating that my marriage cert from our church is valid for our marriage. I hope they will reconise our wedding since we are Christian and Pakistan is a Muslim country.....

It may need to be the civil certificate not church certificate B/C church marriges are not certified by the nvc it has to be the Civil certificate " I hope u did get married by both !"

I was married in a church, and my marriage was registered by the pastor who performed the ceremony. The original marriage cert was attested by the high court in pakistan I don't what else they need???

Yes, do you think it will be possible for my husband to get this paper in Pakistan? Do you think that Pakistan will recoginize mine and his wedding even if it was performed in a church?

Tell him that take the marriage certificate to MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS they will attestify with sticker stamp and sighn it and im sure it might work because thats what US Embassy requires to attest by MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OFFICE.

You are welcome !!! Your husband will need ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE to attest by MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS i think he should go to church to get the ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE .

OK Thats what my lawyer wrote us and now ####### we gonna wait 2 more weeks and after 2 weeks it will ONE MONTH since we sent DS-230 to NVC .#######****g System of NVC.

I called the NVC and told them that we submitted all the original documents. They will review all the documents once more and I was asked to follow up in 2 weeks.
