  2. Its tuesday wooohooo

    /me crosses fingers :dance::dance::dance:

so i hafta take a physical for a new job tomorrow and call another company back for a interview - finally after a couple months of being unemployed its starting to look up!

so on that note, i hope it pours when it rains and we finally get our NOA2, please please please!

Thank you everyone with the insight and help about up comming steps - much apperciated.

  3. i got some questions about up coming events in the journey. i was hopeing that i could get some help from my fellow wait mates. First is Packet 3? what is it? i found packet 4 - but i couldn't find anything describing what packet 3 is.

the next bit of questions are in reference to form ds - 156, i will list them in order.

    22) when do you intend to arrive in the U.S.. i think she should respond by just simply stating after final visa approval, but the answer box is a pull down box.

    26) how long do you inted to stay in the U.S... well we are getting married and planing on living here till death does us apart.. is simpley forever a appropriate answer?

    32) do you intend to work in the U.S. eventually she does, but when and were are dependent on when she is allowed to work and were is depedent on where she can find a job.. so any insight to this question is going to be helpful.

    33) do you intend to study in the U.S. as of now - no she doesn't but what if she changes her mind years down the road, im leaning with a simple NO here and maybe later if she changes her mind, my guess it will be after AOS

thats the just of it, other than the last little nagging thing - i found a list of interview questions a while back - i was jus clicken links and i for the life of me cannot find this list anymore. if anyone knows where a good list of potention interview questions are. let me thank you in advance.

apperciate any and all who can help out - thank you

  4. Im not sure wether this is the right spot that i should post this... but i gave it a try to vent out how i feel... Iam sure that iam indeed happy for receiving my visa finally and that i can be with my fiance soon enough to marry him. Its just that iam worried if i could be able to take my daughter with me when i fly in there in the US this coming May. We have her on K2 but she was asked to return after 2 mos for repeat xray. She just had her pneumonia taken cared of during the time of our medical. We have 3 more wks to go to hope that her xray will be cleared. I really dont want her to be left behind.. Were rushing against time aswell as my fiance will be sent out for deployment by August so its a must for me to get there ASAP. Ill be staying for about a month more over here to wait for her result. I LOVE MY DAUGHTER SO MUCH and it breaks my heart to be away from her. Im sure that i could have her follow me later on to join us, if all else fail but syempre it would be more complete if shes with me. I humbly ask you guys to pls include my daughter cheska in your prayers so that she maybe able to pass her medical finally. Thank you so much guys... May God bless each and everyone of you.

I regret that i cannot add much to help out, other than prayers. Hopefully previous post have some helpful advice. I am curious about the picture you posted in your signature. It looks like coco beach island resort and wanted to ask you if i was indeed correct in my guess. That place is beautiful and is always going to be in my heart as the first place me and my fiancee vacationed to, toghter.

Good luck i pray it works out for you and your daughter. I seen it first hand where a daughter couldn't follow because they were accidently omited on applications, but this does not appear the situation. so im hopeful that it is resolved in your families favor. I have a question though, if she is allowed to travel to the US - couldn't she see a physician here and have the same thing accomplished?

  5. number 180 on igors list, please please please let us get approved soon!! :innocent:

I feel you. I'm #164 and eagerly waiting. It's frustrating cause even though more people are getting approved, I'm STILL #164.

When searching the DHL records for my packet from NVC to Consulate, I realized how many petitions there actually are that we dont even see here on VJ. Out of the 5 we see approved here on a day, there are a good 30 others we dont see.

Strongs to those of you still waiting. All good things DO come to those who wait.

It just seems so incredibly slow as if what your saying is there is a good chance mine and the rest of our apps that are not approved yet and being adjudicated by someone you wouldn't trust with safety scissors!

anyways heres a picture of me and angela on our way for some chillen on a beach :D

  6. Im back from visiting my baby, wow is el nido so friggen beautiful... if yall ever get a chance to go to the philippines hit up palawan - wow. needless to say the trip was great and my only regret was it was not long enough and the part were i had to leave sucked. but other than it only being a week long and having to leave was great. i got lucky on my flight too, was either placed on a exit row or row 20 (aa 777 flight 60 & 61) so no complaints on that front.

anyways it truely was awesome - if anyone has ever wanted to go island hoping - go to el nido - the resorts there have 3 different standard packages - all of them are to die for.

but still no touches on our application, its getting frustrating having to sing the same ole song to my baby - maybe tomorrow will be the day. csc is rocken away while vsc sleeps the days away - what gives - when i first started - vsc was the ticket!

grats to those approved already - i jus wished it was my turn to post on that subject... i guess tomorrow may be our day.

  7. Holy #######. I just got approved today!!! I checked my email first but nothing from CRIS but went to their website and saw that I was approved. What sux is that I've already booked a trip to go see her. April is when I'll be leaving but now this. I should be happy and I am but now I don't know what to do. I had a feeling that I might be approved before my trip but couldn't be certain that I would. I'm thinking maybe I should just take this trip and when she's approved for her visa, take another trip to go get her.

So not too dead today. Woohoo.

i think this is whats going to happen to me and angela - im leaving next week to go spend a week in paradise with her - were going to tagaytay, palawan - to el nido and puerto princesa so i figure this close - quickest way to a approval is be there lols. im bringing everything with me she will need for the interview - every form as been printed or reprinted - now all thats left is hurry up and wait - i know it want be long. but hey - at least you still get to see your sweet heart - and have you checked ticket prices lately - there cheap again :D

  8. Oh and in other news I passed my driving test today. So important for me when I'm in America. I don't really need it here, but thought I should get it done before I move 'across the pond'.

Congrats on passing the test, so many people in the USA will blow it off and say it's not a big thing but it is for us UK types, I passed mine just over 9 months ago. Word of advice - look up the DMV of the state you're moving to. Some states (NC in my case) will let tourists without intent to migrate drive on their own foreign license (in our case, the card and paper counterpart, with or without the International Drivers Permit), but you cannot use it if you intent to become a resident and must take the local test and get a local license before you can drive there. Bummer for me.

Thanks guys (and BL2B)! Yeah I'm going to check out what the case is in Virginia. But I've been assured that the test in the US is a LOT easier than it is over here. I've just got to learn how to do everything the wrong way round!

To answer the other question by maria teresa, since we started the visa process my fiance has visited me twice and will come over again in May. So it'll be 3 visits in total. Since he moved back to the States in July 2008 I visited 3 times. We are lucky that we can get the time off work and afford to travel. I think it would be unfair for USCIS to expect everyone to be able to do so many visits though.

wow and grats - i bet yall are so stoked - its truely a blessing for sure

soon us early january folks will get ours - my fiancee was baby do we have our noa2 tonight and i was like no :(( she was like chris got his - (csc) - im sad and happy at the same time - i know mine and the rest of ours will be comming soon!! keep your heads up folks its only a matter of time - the lights jus right there - were at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!

  9. being that i didn't submit my app till the first of january im a lil behind the majority here timewise, but its so awesome that its this close for all of us. As far as a co-sponsor its not a issue, tons of people to actually pick from - either of my parents will help as well as any of the 5 aunts Angela has living in the US. so its all good - really my only question was far as the I-134 since its going to be nearest - the 864 shouldn't be a issue because i will have a job by then.

im counting down the days till i get to see my baby again - i can't wait till i get to see her again - i miss her so much. though with this layoff its going to put a lil damping on what we can do as far as our vacation ( jus going to hafta live with a budget ) but most everything is paid for - tickets and resorts already - only thing that was left was food and scuba and couple other lil things - odds and in's. but the fees and medical come first so when we count down on the budget - that will come out first obiviously. Anyways its going to be a blast and i cannot wait!!

Thanks everyone for being here - its apperciated so much by me.

    - Joshua

  10. Ohh noes - i got laid off from work this week. im so worried that it will affect our app. i do however have some letters of employment i have from earlier that i got for the I-134, but i don't know if i should use them or wait for a new job. im kinda scaired. but im pretty sure i can find new work before Angela makes it to the US. Any one have any advice? should i use the letters of employment i currently have? how will it affect our app or will it even? i know for the AOS its definitely critical that i am employed. whats yalls thoughts.

    thanks

    -Joshua

maria teresa - welcome to VJ - glad to have you here with us.

  11. Thanks everyone for the responses, seems like not only is the 131 due soon - i will jus bring it with me when i go in april, along with the medical fee and i guess i will hafta save 18$ for the phone call. These people have parting you with your money down to a science. i know its obivious - US goverment go figure :D

i guess the best thing i learned is that my fiancee doesn't hafta have all her shots for the interview - but will hafta get them once shes here. She hates needles so i figured i would hafta hold her had to get it done - guess now i can :D

woooohooooo!! 36 more days till my trip

/why yes i am ready to go now

  12. And another one planning a visit, hope to go over end of April, start of May.

Thought we get things going already at the school my son will attend when we get our visa's :)

Am I crazy? I am already selling stuff I don't want to bring, ordered the airkennels for my dogs, just so that I won't have to do everything at once.

And for the feeling of actually doing something instead of sitting on my butt and get older every day...

nah i don't think so - im doing similar stuff - but im not selling - i hafta buy some furniture dressers and stuff like that. Ohh and pick up stuff i had loaned out to different relatives because i didn't need it and didn't feel like moving it. Anyways a pure vacation is needed - i been working so much lately and i need a break.

I was wondering if anyone else thinks with the economy being the way it is, do yall think it will have a postive effect on processing times? being more people are likely to put off going on a visa journey because of how things are now?

  13. Hi, I'm new here :)

My fiance and I sent in our I-129 on 13/1/09 and got our NOA dated 15/01/09....and now we wait!

I had been trying to find timescales of real people's K1s to make myself feel better about this whole thing, luckily the stuff I've seen so far seems to be around what I expected....still seems a long time though, having just got back from the US on what is my last visit until the real deal :S

Hope everyone is doing ok, got my everything crossed for us all :)

    xJ

yea it do seem to take long don't it? welcome to the club, we are all in the same wait boat. only thing i have found to make it more bareable is another trip to see my SO and my new shiney magicjack that now lives with her. so nice being able to call and be called finaly - wooohooo!! i hope your journey is quick as i do all of ours, tbh i favor mine lil more :D
