Got kids EAD card and instantly went to get SS#. The guy at the SS office did not want to give him the SS3 unless he got a paper version of I797 on I485 approval. I had to raise my voice and call in the supervisors. I have told them that they are wasting tax payers money. Told them that their right hand does not know what the left one is doing. Told them that is the USCIS issued the EAD card they had no reason to act the way they did.

On Dec 31st the card was in the mail. Now his paperwork went to California. Now waiting again. :-(

another email today of EAD approval and said the letter was sent.

Now i can get the kid his SS number with work authorization.

I wonder is they gona do an interview with him...

Finally got a the movement on the kids AOS. Took them two weeks after i sent in RFE. But they sent the I-485 to California. The I131 was approved and the EAD card was ordered. no Interview so far. I guess... like his mom the GC will come in the envelope one day.

Two weeks ago we got an RFE on something we shouldnt have. They asked for my Kids Birth certificate and my taxes. I know i have sent it in. Mind you.. this is a second time they i sent it in. The first time they sent the whole packet back. And when i asked them why.. they did not know.

Question for all of you. My wife has her Green Card. and Ukrainian passport. Do we need any other documents to come back to United states?

Got all three hard copies. Now my kid has an A- number, Maybe now i can get SS#

Just checked .... we are in the system .. and EAD is on the second circle. Is it normal in one day?

Sent in the kids AOS stuff for the second time.. with a 2 page letter. will see how it will turn out this time

spent an hour with USCIS today... They do not understand why the petition was sent back.The check was for the 1010.00 If he gets the Permanent status, doesn't that qualify him for the SS number?. why are children different from F-129 recipients? 1010 took care of AED and AP all together.

Hi Guys.... I am starting over. I have sent AOS packet to Chicago in August for my stepson that came in on K2 9 month after my wife. It came back Rejected. and split in to two packets. I-131 they wanted separate check for 300.00 and the I485 930.00 and separate 80.00 for fingerprinting.

I just did AOS for my wife in March without a glitch.I ordered INFOPASS today and talked to them... useless. They have no idea why it came back.

They said the i485 was outdated, even though the date on it till 12/11.

I am starting all over.

did the fees change for I-485? now it says 1000.00 on USCIS site.

what a mess....

need ideas :-(

Sent in K-2 stuff to Chicago and they have got it on 19th. What is a running time on their response now?

I just checked this on USCIS site. had no touches since 5/14/10 on AOS. No interview letter. Just a green card. Ill take it. :-)

EAD card came yesterday. AOS next i hope.

My kid was at the embassy this morning. on K2 to follow. They asked him lots of questions. ANd then asked to prove that our relationship is legit.

Had to scramble in the middle of the night and make PDF documents to email to the embassy. Just received an email back that they got the additional info. I wonder why they asked a child to prove that. He has nothing to do with it.

On June 14, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

and another touch on I-485.

Just email on EAD, no letter yet. ANd no Interview Appt.

Isnt this a money issue. Arizona is beginning to drown in debt like its neighbor to the west. And the neighbor wants Arizona to be just like it. Poor..... I wonder.. TX is also on the border.. and running a surplus in its budget. I think it is a fiscal model for all the states. The LA fathers are dumb.. they already have driven the business out of CA.. .whats next. Or do we all want to pay more for something the idiots in Washington will dram up. Got to stop.... might as well start with Arizona. Ill support the Arizona instead of LA.

I thought the "USCIS office" one meant it was transferred to the office near you so that you could have an interview...
