I-751 is for removing condition, which you will have to file at 90 days mark before your 2 year GC expires. So you don't need it now, you have time for it, relax and enjoy your holidays for 2 weeks in India.

No, you don't need any visa, you are an Indian national. For how long you can stay, India won't stop you for however long you want to stay but since you are a Green Card holder, you might have problem entering US if you stay in India for more than 6 months.

Being a GC holder of US, you will have to satisfy the residency requirement of US govt.

Came here in june and SSN,Green Card then Driving licence.......... finally started job hunt in September and got job in Nov. Last week..

I am foreign pharacist so it was hard to find job.

got one as Pharmacy technician, part time..

But i m happy as its in my field and i work 35 hours a week mostly so nearly abt full time .. just dont get benefits but its ok i m covered under my hubby's insurance..

i have already applied for pharm.d but i will get admission in june and school starts at september....but as we all know pharmacist get handsome salary... like tht i need 80,000$ for 3 yrs pharm.d course... unless i get pharm.d i cant work as pharmacist so i hv to search pharmacy tech jobs..... and its still time to go to school so i wanna earn some money of my own so at least i can help my poor husband a little... so any job is fine as its matter of one year only.. then i will be pharmacist... its ironic tht they dont consider our degree otherwise i am reg. pharmacist of india and have worked a year in pharma industry plus i did my WES eveluation of my degree here and its equivalent to US bachelors degree.. noone is ready to consider all this.... wht shd i do?

I got here a year ago and yes it's pretty dang hard to get a job. I worked in a call center back in Manila but I couldn't get a simple telemarketing job over here!

Now i'm 7 months pregnant and about to pop out. The entire months I was looking for job no luck! Yes medical field is a good choice I'm currently getting my CNA Cert and I'm about to finish soon.

But I gotta tell you guys, this is United States and there so much you can do while seeking for job. All kinds of programs are available through online. And since I was stuck at home for a while I've learned to do these things and to my surprise I'm a couple hundred bucks richer!

You just have to make research and research and more research! LOL

I still plan to keep all my home based jobs even if Im already working. Believe me it works!

which kindda job u can do frm home,. i m stuck here since last 4 months and cant find any work around...though i have indian bachelors in pharmacy none is ready to give even pharm tech job....... finally i tried to search in cashier job but no openings... its frustrating.. can ny one suggest something

I am sure you will do fine, try not to be too nervous - even though it sometimes can't be helped! Also try to get enough sleep the night before your test, it usually helps. All of my best wishes and thoughts for your test, I'm hoping you'll pass it this time!

i had my road test today morning.. the instructor was supercool....

FOR THOSE WHO HAS ROAD TEST..

first tie yr seat belt and then start car.

while takin turns look both side..and pull yr body and look so instructor can know you r really checking roads. its good to pretend sometimes.

stop completely at stop sign at least 3-5 sec.

remember this Signal-Stop-Look-Go.( it was my funda.. lol. but worked)

dont go very fast.. go on speed lmit or 2 mile less than that.

make yr stearing straight at every stop sign,after u finished parallel park and before you put car in park, when u come out of k-turn so its easy to back straight..

do parallel park very very slowly so u can adjust yr car. use only brake not accelerator unless yr car is rolling.

as soon as u finish yr left or right turn give gas to match the traffic speed..

finally, practise.......

The test in Trenton used to be on a closed course - not the actual road. If it's the track test and not a road test, just take it slow and easy. Stay within the lines - that used to be a BIG thing they would look for to fail people - people used to driving on the roads tend to take the track faster than they should.

Worst case, take some time and take private driving lessons. It will boost your confidence!

i have taken 3 driving lessons till now.. i'm bit nervous.. but comfortable in driving here.. thankfully i m not scared of speed i drive upto 60 miles /hour on highway... but scared of test.

i just moved in NJ and i FAILED my 1 st driving road test.....

though i passed knowledge test in1 st attempt at kilmer,edison.. as my licence is not 1 year old the DMV told me to take road test after 20 days of knowledge test.. i failed in my 1 st test .and i have re test in one week...

i made mistake at turns..

i have 2nd test at trenton..and i am scared... though i am driving all around everyday since 2 months, i feel tensed for test.

if u have any suggestions pls post here..

Remember me from Interview Waiting thread?....Good to see you getting on with life in US... I don't have anything new to say except, just practice and don't panic during test time. It's quite normal to get nervous during test time... Just remember, no one is going to judge you wrongly if you fail..... There is always a next time.... My hubby also makes mistakes during turns, specially left turns...

In terms of passing the test, I always tell him, you don't have to get things right at 1st try in everything you do... Like you, he also passed the knowledge (permit) test in 1st try and he is determined to do the same with road test... I've tried to tell him that it's not uncommon for people to go for road test for 2nd or 3rd time... Some people here has given great suggestion, like driving like grandma, and if you get confused about turns, wait till you understand or ask the instructor again, etc..

nice to meet you again... ya, i am adjusting here. and now i am okey with drivg but you never know about test.. as in my last test the examiner didnot evn told me for parllel park and directly failed....

at the end of test she gave me reasons like.

when she told me 2 turn left on yellow line break on road i was on 45mph.. so i slowed down check for oncoming traffic from opposit direction .. examner said you dont need to slow down in middle of road.......

i dnt know how 2 turn left without slowin dwn at 45mph...........?

No news from my side.I am still stuck .Can't email the embassy as ISL embassy has a 90 day wait requirement before making an inquiry for all AP cases so my only option is calling DOS which is no help at all.Me and my husband are just praying n waiting to hear soon.Every time he calls me at an odd time,I think probably he heard something from the embassy but its always some other news I did hear from some VJ members that ISL is clearing AP cases faster than before but I dont remember seeing any paki member whose AP cleared since our interview So i still very very much need your prayers.

hey, just tell them you have motion sickness and had couple of vomits in flight and also you have problem with so much of AC so, in full AC yr nose starts running and sneezing. .......... none can question in case of allergy and motion sickness because its common problem .

Sorry I couldnt email from India..everything went fine for us and my wife and I returned to US on Friday. The interview went fine. COngratz to all who completed successfully. Do we know just need to wait for the Green Card and Social Securty card to arrive?

congratulation ben and ash. just wait yr green card and ssn will come to yr house. wait for 21 working days and if u dont get it by then , then go to nearest social security office.
