  1. I haven't read the comments above. Do you think by chance she is stress or homesick?? I wanted to go back home in one week when I first came to US. It was very depressing not having friends and family around. Take her somewhere nice, spend some quality time together and make her comfertable in new cultural envirnment. If she really wants to be with you then she will understand and calm down in couple days or so. good.gif

  2. section 8 is not cosidered as a mean benefit. It totally does not effect your eligiblity for citizenship. public housing or section 8 are not cosidred welfare for clarification. Welfares are mean benefits like food stamps, medicaid and finanician help from goverment like SSI or SSDI. Immigrants are not eiligible for mean benefits but they are eligible for housing, section 8 and Finacial aid for school. Don't worry it won't effect on your case.

  3. Hello Citizens and soon to be citizens. I had my interview today in the morning at 8am. Officer gave me N-652 Interview result form. I passed the English and history test and he tick marked on Congratulations your application has been recommended for approval. He told me to wait for the oath ceremony mail. Interview was fast and easy. I'll post my experience soon. Does anyone know how long does it take to get oath ceremony after interview?

Please update my timeline. Thank you! dancin5hr.gif

  4. If this makes you feel better. We were denied for K1 as well. They said we didn't submit the enough proof to show our relation. I know how you are feeling but don't give up. If you think you have enough proofs to show your strong relation then you can appeal the case but from my appeal experience we basically lost our money and again we end up being denied. I would suggest you to get marry and apply for cr1. That's what we did. I understand you have a situation but that's the only best way to apply for visa. I wish you a good luck and hope you guys figure out you next step. heart.gif

    Hello,

My fiancé had his interview on Sept 30, 2013. When he finally got to the interview window he was asked a few questions:

What is your fiancé name? Ans. My Name

When did you meet? Ans. 2009

When did you start your romantic relationship? Ans. 2010

When was your fiancee divorce? Ans. 2012, however they have been separated for over 10 years.

What is your fiancée religion? Ans. Christian

What is your religion? Ans. Hindi

The interview walked away briefly, came back, and gave him a piece of paper that basically said our petition was being returned to the USCIS office for review and possible revocation. He did not say why the petition was being returned, however, I guess it has something to do with my divorce becoming final in April 2012 and immediately getting engaged, June 2012. USCIS approved our petition and enclosed in our I-29F application were a copy of my divorce papers.

All of the answers my fiancé gave to the interviewer were true. My now ex-husband and I have been separated for well over 10 years and in fact we have not even lived in the same state for 8+ years. He didn't bother to look at our proof of relationship, he asked no further questions.

I am real upset over this and I just don't know what we need to do next.

Any assistance or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. crying.gif

  6. This happend to me. I got placed in line for interview scheduling on june 7th. I haven't heard anything for more then 3 months now. I called USCIS and they placed me for service request on 7th september. On 17th of september my case status changed with the same stupid status saying they put me in line for scheduling an interview on 17th setember. I tottaly do not know what that means? I wonder if they forgot about my file ranting33va.gif

  7. I called this morning and they placed the service request. Lady said it will take 15 days to get the notice. Did anyone else had the same situation?? I have not placed an infopass appoitment yet. I am not which one is better, To wait for mail of service request of making an infopass appoitment. Below is the processing time for salt lake city.

Field Office Processing Dates for Salt Lake City UT as of: June 30, 2013 Form Form Name Processing Timeframe: N-400 Application for Naturalization November 23, 2012
  8. I called USCIS yesterday and asked for the status of the case stating it's been more than 90days inline for scheduling. The lady was super rude. She said you'r 90 days hasn't been up yet. call back on monday. they put me in line on 7th june, now if you count from Normal calender then yesterday was 91st day. Anyways I'll call back and see what they have to say before I set up an infopass appoitment. Oh by the way she mentioned that yes I can see your case is pending but for more information call back on monday. I am very curious about pending statement. Does that mean it's just pending because they have't set up and appoitment yet or does that mean they have having problems with my case and reviewing more? headbonk.gif

    • If your case has a receipt number, you can check the status.

We offer 4 kinds of appointments for a case that you have already filed. Please choose from the following - Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Which one should I select for infopass appoitment? my case has been inline for 85day today. I thought about second option Case processing Appointment but I had a doubt so I think I'll ask someone before I do anything. Thank you!

  11. How do I do that? call USCIS or Local Immigration office? I have no idea what to do? cray5ol.gif

    Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to add my interview experience this morning. My interview was a t 10 am this morning, August 26. After entering the building, I handled the security officer my letter and went through security, then went straight to the waiting room. After 10 minutes, the immigration officer went out and ask me to come in. She asked me if I can wait in the hall way while she grabs my file. Later on went to the office and asked me to raise my right hand and tell the truth. Later we went over my n 400. It was quiet. She asked me for ID, passport, green card and tax return copies. Later went over yes/ no questions. She then asked for selective service registration document and other documents. She didn't check all original documents though. She was very nice and we chatted a bit. Then she went straight to civics test. Asked me to read WHO CAN VOTE, then I was asked to write CITiZENS CAN VOTE. Then asked me 6 questions.

1-Who can vote In federal election
    2-What's the national anthem?
3-What is the name if the west ocean of the US?
4-What do the thirteen strips in the flag represent?
    5- What happened in 9/11?
6- What is the rule of law?

I answered them correctly. She was writing my answers on the paper. Then she told me, congratulations, you passed your test. You should hear from us regarding the oath ceremony in 4 weeks. Mid to late September. It only took 25 minutes and was pretty easy. Good luck everyone out there? Thank you guys for your positive input.

  12. I have a quick question. It will be 90day on next wednesday 4th September since I was placed in line for scheduling an interview. I have not heard anything from USCIS yet. Someone suggested here to call and ask for level 2 operator. What should ask the level 2 operator? would they be able to help me schedule an intereview? Any tips, advice or suggestoin? Thank you for reading. hope someone can reply my question. Thank you!

  13. Thanks so much for replying. I still havent heard back from them. It's making me feel down. what happens if I don't hear until next month? Next month on 7th it will be 90 days :(

Don't worry about that. If you go on the USCIS website that's what is says there so I'm pretty sure they gave you a generic answer. If you don't hear anything by the 90 day mark (which I'm positive you will) call them back and ask to speak to a level 2 administrator. When it comes to processing time it's not first come first serve and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to how people get scheduled. Check out this snippet from the February filers....

....notice that all 3 were from the same office, they all filed within days of each other but their interview and oath dates vary pretty widely. Everything is unique to this process and will reflect in how fast or slow we are processed. All you can do is sit tight and hope to hear something soon and if the 90 days comes and still no interview letter, give them a call and/or involve your local congressman.

  14. I believe you can expect an appointment date within 90 days of the in-line status. After that point you can contact USCIS to inquire about your case. Contacting before that will not get you any more info than wait until 90 days have passed.I hope you hear from them soon.

Thank you for replying. I called USCIS and lady on the phone told me that our local office is processing October 2012 cases right now so It might take upto 6months for my case to get interview appoitment. This is just crazy sad.png . My friend and her family applied month before I did and they got thier interview scheduled in 30days. we live in the same city and our local office is same too. :(

  15. Simps, if its more than 40 days since you were scheduled for interview, you should call uscis or schedule an info pass. It shouldn't take more than 30 days, if its more than 40 days after your biometrics, that means your local office received high volume applications. Good luck, u should receive it soon.

My bio was done on june 3rd and they put me in line for scheduling an interview on june 7th but I haven't heard anything after that. When should I contact USCIS if I don't hear anything from them about Interview? Should I give it a try now?
