.Oh wow!!!!! Well, I hear NY is pretty slow. Crossing my fingers for you. Maybe you should give them a call and see what's going on. I'm guessing they are just overloaded with cases. Hang in there though! Almost there!
Thank you. Yeah, they are really behind. They are working with August cases, at least that's what the USCIS page says in the processing times..

Hey Guys,
just a quick question is a copy of joint lease required to file for N-400 based on 3 year marriage?
we re moving to a new place and my wife doesnt have credit and the new apartment will be under my name only.
will that cause any problems?
Thanks!
I didnt sent a copy of the apt lease since is under my husband name alone.. I just sent the IRS that we do joint, banks accounts copy and the marriage certificate.. We dont have kids either.. so if they are not please with that they can come visit us anytime Now Im Just waiting for the interview date..

Are you close to there? Can u describe the city to me. Is it quite, busy, is there alot of young families? I cant wait to be there. It will be a whole new world for us.
Astoria is close to manhattan. but it is not like manhattan.. It is very nice and yeah there is many young families for what ive seen.. I dont have any kids yet though. Astoria is for me the best. Dont worry the first few months you will feel out place and strange because is new place and faces but once u get familiar it will be okay. Do you have family here/?

thank you for your reply ,i will be in astoria
Seriously? i Live in astoria.. lol very nice neighborhood. we have a park close by very quite many places to eat out.

i dont know but when i went to consular appointment with my now husband with didnt have to wait that long(2008).. we were interview together by the consulate official or whatever the name is.. and she just asked us 4 questions...I got approved right there she said congratulations and gave me the visa, also we sent a lot evidence of our relationship. every copy of phone calls, airplanes tickets, etc.. pictures, emails we sent to each other, conversations with have via MSN all that we printed and he sent it with package. and I have to say since the moment he sent the package until we went to the consulate it was 5 months!
-
And they ask u. How long was ur trip? Or how long u have been out of the country?
-
They don't care when u leave like u said. They care when u come back but that's what I meant. When u are coming back they do swipe ur green card or US passport. It is very unusual that they didn't swipe ur green card cuz that is like default! Green card and passport is the two things u give to the officer when u come back from an international flight plus the blue form... And they check those papers and check ur info in the computer..
-
Everytime a person leaves the country and come back the immigration officer at the airport swipe the green card and the computer show everything! So they do know how long u have been out of the country.. I know!

Sorry, that looks about right - the last person scheduled for interview in NYC was in early November so it is possible you have another month to wait. Then again, all cases are different so you could be earlier.
Unfortunately lots of people don't fill in and update their timeline which limits the available data.
Good Luck!
This month is almost over if I get anything it would be for May the interview I'm thinking. I have not seen many updates from NYC filers in other months most are still waiting.
But seriously if NYC is so Busy they should hire more employees!.

Congratulations! Has anyone in New York/NYC (not LI) been scheduled for an interview yet?
JUST went to the USCIS Page to check on the timeline for N-400 in NYC and this is what they have: Field Office Processing Dates for New York City NY as of: January 31, 2012 {N-400 Application for Naturalization August 14, 2011 } so they are working with cases now from august 2011!!!!! This ppl Are super Behind Schedule! Jesus Christ!.

I wonder if the office where I did the fingerprint is the same one where I'm going to be interview?.. Because if that's the case, the day I went for my fingerprint I notice there was a bunch of employees sitting in the waiting room doing nothing..
