  1. I have a girlfriend who live in the philippines and she have a 6 months old child "not my child".

My status is Immigrant in the US.

I am planning to petition her. I just wondering if her child will be included on the petition since her child is a minor?

Do i need to petition just her? and the child is included.

    or

    do i need separate petition?

what is the best steps do i need please advice?

    Thank You.

How long you've been an LPR? Are you eligible now to file Citizenship? The fastest is K1 Fiancé Visa and K2 for her child but the petitioner must be a US Citizen.

  2. if i take my baby with me, will i be charged for kidnapping? i haven't filed for AOS and i am already out of status. i want to stay in america. i want to leave my husband and take my baby with me. what should i do? and by the way my baby was born in the US.

Sorry about your situation. Here in US they have a very strict law when it comes to children you cannot just simply take your kid with you if you want to leave and go back to Phils. You will be in trouble if you will do it. You need to calm down and think. Do you know anybody in your area? Friends? Relatives here in US that may assist you in this battle? You should have called the police immediately when he physically hurt you before so you have a police report it might help you in this case. Listen to the peoples advise here you need a lawyer. Ask help from the Church or contact Domestic Violence Agency for assistance immediately. You are already out of status and your husband is taking advantage of the situation coz he knows he is on top of the game… you need to act now .Good luck.

  3. Hey all!

First of all, I wanna greet everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I hope everybody who is with their loved ones had a great time during the holidays!

And to those who are not, just hang in there and you will be with your beloved soon.

Anyways, now that it's January, everybody is preparing the forms needed for their taxes.

I'm wondering if it's possible that hubby can claim me in his taxes?

I'm currently unemployed with a 2-year Conditional GC.

If yes, is there any papers that we need to present with the filing of taxes?

    That's all!

    Your replies are greatly appreciated!

    Have a good day!

Sure! Ours back in 2006, we had to file for an amendment I remembered coz I don't have SSN yet when DH filed his taxes.

  4. As always, thanks for the help, support, and good wishes from the VisaJourney community.

    You guys are awesome.

    Hello there,

Just want to say Good luck to both of you... and to add that Visa applicants are not permitted to bring cell phones or other electronic devices into the U.S. Embassy. You seem well-prepared; your fiancée will surely bring home the pink!

  5. Hello,

Yeah if possible i would like to renew here in US,reporting marriage to the Philippines Consulate, should i do it online or go in person?thanx for the advice..God bless!

Reporting of marriage you can do it by mail send the application to the San Francisco Phil. Consulate. I remember MOSSYCOUPLE was able to renew her passport just recently by mail hopefully you'll be able to do the same. I guess they consider the application by mail if the applicant is too far from the Consulate… speak to their staff so you will get straight answer.

Check the links under Consular services.Good luck.

  6. It doesn't get snow here in Phoenix area during winter but does get little chilly in the early morning but we barely use the heater. Been in US for 3 years and I could say I don't complain that much anymore unlike my first winter it was hilarious I had to wear sweater around the house and heater was on and would still complained.

  7. If you will renew your passport here in US and wants to use your married name you will have to submit a Report of marriage to the Philippine Consulate first then apply for an amendment of passport. I did it in 2008 and good thing I made it before they announced that passport applicants must apply in person for the new MRP or machine readable passport where they will take your fingerprints and signature. Best thing to do is call the consulate and ask. If you will do it in Philippines, you might be asked for the report of marriage too if you want to use your married name since your marriage was solemnized in US but not sure about this so better call them. Good luck.

  8. Arizonan here...welcome to US of A. Weather is nice right now but it really gets hot in the summer. We would go to chandler area once in a while and there's plenty of Filipinos in that area and Pinoy restaurants as well.

  9. Thank all of you for your help.god bless all of you..thanks :star:

My husband purchased my ticket it's one way from Expedia and he just e-mailed my e-ticket, printed it out and I had no problem boarding on the plane. She should be fine. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your fiancée.

  10. Seems like they are more than friends they are calling each other "babe"? Ako ana day posposan ko nag 2 por dos hehe. It's sad you just came over it's really a bad start in your relationship that he is treating you that way. Anyway, be wise agree with others don't get pregnant at least for now that there's a problem and you are gwapa day, if he won't change, leave and go home or be wise… stay, adjust status, find a job, file for divorce and move on with your life.
