I thought I would get some sort of letter but received an email from the consulate of the interview date and link to their site for papers. Is this normal?

What is more important, 1040 tax returns form, pay stubs or W-2 form ?
Thank you
6 months Pay stubs and 1040 filed for the current year and transcripts for past 3 years

So my brother said I don't need to bring information saying im making payments for my 2008 taxes. I'm on an installment plan with the IRS and still owe 6000 for 2008. I make 50,000. I'll have my fiancee bring 6 months pay stubs, 2010 electronic filed copies, transcripts from 2009, 2008, and 2007 tax returns, and signed letters from my employers. Though, I'm still a little worried.
Does she need to bring an installment agreement to the interview? and if so what kind?
Thank you so much for the help.
Anyone know the answer for this one? I called IRS and they said that they can send me the 2008 transcript with the payments.. but they have no such paper, "installment agreement" that proves i have an installment agreement with them

Thank you sooo much you all are really really helpful.. Thank you for that pic of the fee too.

Question 33 on DS-156 asks, "Do you intend to study in the U.S.?" I marked yes.. Would it be a problem? Would she require a student visa as well?
-
So i found on this site to bring the original NOA's and RFE's received and found the opposite answer too. Also, this is not asked anywhere... on the usembassy website...
Please help again.. I wish they would make this easier..
-
Thank you will do... personally, i think they are just asking too much... it's just a visa... I got a visa to brazil just 1 pager... should be the same for K1
-
Okay so I found, FS-257a.. on http://www.embaixada-americana.org.br/fiance/257a.pdf but http://brazil.usembassy.gov/interview/forms-for-fiancee-visas/order-of-documents-for-the-interview---fiancee.html does not say i need have this.. I check on some posts and some say you need this and others say I do not. Anyone know?
Thanks again.
PS. Also, I-134 does it need to be notorized? posts from some people say you do but i find it no where on the instructions. Please help thank you

Yes, that is correct. The previous fee was for the processing of the I-129F, and this fee is for the visa. There is a Citibank near the consulate, I believe. You can look it up online. My fiance (now husband) went a day or two before the interview and paid it. It does need to be at a Citibank.
Well thank you. I would have not known that. It just hints it on their website through the order of documents link.
-
Basically this means that you need to pay the visa fee at citybank in advance. This is done in their native country (Brazil in this case.)
My fiancee needs to pay at DHL in Bolivia.
You should get a reciept. I know they have a citibank in Bolivia so I am guessing they have one in Brazil too.
Umm.. So she has to go to Citibank before the interview and pay $350 and bring the receipt with the documents?? I already paid the i-129f fee of $450
-
What does this mean? It's listed 3rd on what order the documents should be in..
3.Visa fee previously paid at Citibank; ?? What is this? And how picky are they on the organization?
Order found here:

36. Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?
Yes No If Yes, Who?
That question above does it apply to the current one? Thanks again.
-
Can leave the lines blank.
As for 11, this has more to do with supporting other non immigrants like F-1 students where there is a set length of time. K-1 being a process that results in permanent residency question 11 does not apply.
Well thanks again man. It's good to have some wise people on this forum. Thank you.

Here is the deal, what is your income level??
Cannot use a car as an asset unless it is a second non-daily driver car, like a collectable car, and even then it needs to have it's value appraised.
If your income is sufficient, then do not use assets.
In my case income was more than enough, so used (Past 3 years IRS returns or transcripts, Statement from Employer, and copies of past 6 months pay stubs.)
Please study the example forms at the link above, it has a good example of the I-134.
Thank you so for the quick response. So do i leave the rest blank or do i mark it at $0 and "None" for the real estate. I make $50,000 per year. Also, question 11, the example doesn't mark anything... just puts "N/A" Is that correct? Anyway thanks again
-
do i type it like: 50,000.00 or 50,000 ; other questions:
7.
Q. I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is:
A. Can this be the value of my car?
Q. I own real estate valued at:
A. None
11. I __ intend ___ do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.
(if you check "intend, "indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in the U.S. dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.)
A. do i mark X before intend? and state i will furnish room and board all her life?
Thanks again... too many questions

Fill out only one I-134. Fill in the name and address for one of your employers (pick one, doesn't matter). Enter the combined income you receive from both jobs. If you like, make an attachment sheet titled something like "I-134 Attachment, Section 7", and list the information for the other job.
They don't much care where you work. They care if you have sufficient income, and if you have evidence to prove your income is what you claim.
Thank you soooo much Jim. I really appreciate your answer. I will change it as you say. Thank you.

I have 2 full time jobs... and there is only room for 1 job on the I134... Do i fill out 2 forms and put seperate annual incomes.. or do I fill out 1 i-134 and put the total sum of the annual incomes? Please help
-
the Visa Appplicant, your fiance's relatives. for each mark yes or no. if yes, put person's status in the blank field. for fiance mark yes, US Citizen,
ah thank you so much!
-
ah so yes... since the us citizen filed the i-129f for the petitioner..
She is the one who is supposed to fill out the embassy forms, so if you do it for her you should do it from her perspective.
-
Regarding the question below; it leaves an empty field. Do i put the names in there? Also; it asks for father mother... is that my parents or my fiance's... the one im bringing over.. Thanks again

Yes No If Yes, Who?
What does that mean? I've filed the k1 visa for her... so do i mark yes?
Thanks again.

Best Wishes to both.. and after all this sleepless nights, it will feel like a dream the moment you and her are walking out of the airport..
Thank you bro. It will be amazing.

Anytime.. i know exactly what you are passing since i expirience first hand with my [then] fiancee the same cronological journey. As a side note, don't stress the fact visa was dinied in the past.. my wife [then fiancee] was dinied twice, one several years prior application and the second time during our courtship.. She had her interview in Rio and was a pretty smoth process as long as you have submitted all the required documents at the time of interview..
My fiance is from rio too
I can't wait to be with her. I hope it all goes well and she gets approved and finally be with her.

Ah good. It just seemed different since we usually received mail correspondence. God bless you two. My fiancee's interview is coming up. I'm super anxious, can't wait to hold my baby forever.
