Today i checked my case status online, like i do everyday since Feb, and I saw there was a change in the status... But when I opened the file it didnt look like a nice thing:

Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Is that normal?? I havent read anywhere on the forum about RFE from the service center, I thought u could get approved or denied.... What is it???

I don't know about the notice they sent you, bu me & my hubby got an RFE.. ours stated that the payment for the I129F was not included in our packet, but the receipt for the I130 was inclosed.. (once lthe I130 is paid for, there's no fee for the I129) so I had to write a letter stating that, and send another copy of the NOA1.. it was a pain in the axx.. ...hope all works out for you

Since we got married abroad & @ a resort, and had to pay $ 40.00 a head( for day pass if yor weren't staying @ the resort) so we were very limited to the amount of people who could attend.. luckly some of our fam & friends who came from the states & canada stayed @ the resort so we didn't have to pay for them.. we still had a nice crowd of about 75

Well, I don't know.. our case (K3) was complete in 02/13/09.. and my hubby just received his packet #3 last week.. so we are still waiting on his interview date .. it is hard to call it, I think it all depends on how fast each consulate process paper work.. but I wish u the best of luck

Since me & hubby are still in this visa journey marathon, .. if I had to do it all over again, I think we might have done the K1, got married here & just re-new our vows in Jamaica.. but everything happends for a reason

MrsH, you might call/email the embassy or NVC and ask. The NVC # is 603-334-0700 option 1, option 5 to speak to someone.

I have called the NVC several of times, and they always say since our paper work is being processed in Ja, they don't have any info on our case- our case has been in Ja since Feb.. but I will e-mail the embassy to see..thanks for the reply..Blessing & Respect

Well for us we never got packet 3, luckly we knew that it was part 1 of that other form sorry can't remember the name of the form. But we got an appt for the following week once I emailed them about dropping it off, once A dropped it off they emailed me the next day or two with our interview date... The turn around hasn't been that quick for everyone, but this was our experience.

But you are doing K3 not sure if it works the same way we did K1.

Our took 7 months to be approved @ the VSC.. but my hubby wants us to persue the I129.. so I haven't done anything else with the I130

I´ll be leaving tomorrow night to Rio de Janeiro where is my interview on June 16!!!!

I do appologize if this question has posted, i have seen something before but cant find it.

Realistically speaking, how much faster was the CR 1 for you? Are you happy with the decision that you made?

I currently applied for 1130 and the 129 to make it faster, but everyone seems indifferent. I have my approval so let me know asap, and maybe how to cancel the 129 to go the CR 1 route.

I just wanted to add my two cents.. my hubby was approved for both the I129 & I130.. currently we are chartering the I129 path only because I didn't file an I130 for my step daughters at the same time I filled for him, well long story short.. our approval came on 02/10/09.. the paper work was sent to the Kingston embassy, and that's where it' been for months now..if I had know this, I would have gone with the I130 and let the states process the rest of our paperwork. At least if I had any questions, I could contact someone and get a straight answer... sorry for the rambling.. ... Blessings

Our case was completed on 02/13/09 @ the NVC.. and then sent to the Jamaica emabssy.. and that's were we are stuck.. My hubby hasen't heard ANYTHING from them.. and each time I try to contact them, I get the same run around.. the NVC can't help or answer any questions, because the paper work is in Ja, well the Jamaica embassy dosen't answer any case related questions by phone, only by e-mail.. well I have sent over 9 e-mails.. and each time I get the same response.. "we can't respond personaly to all e-mails, we receive over 19,000 case a year" bla bla bla I did get a reponse from the department that handles NIV.. my hubby's is IV..they said they mailed his paper work out on 02/20/209.. but he never got it sure they did.. well if anyone has any suggestion, please feel free to respond.. thanx for letting me vent Blessings & Respect

If you are using the old 134 - it's needs to be notarized.

the new one does not.

Ankara embassy has the same writing, I emailed them, and they said the above.

If your in doubt - email your embassy.

On Jamaica's site, I think is says the form must be notarized as well, so this is outdated for all the embassy?

i checked the case status online and they requested evidence on the 21st of this months, but i havn't recieved the letter yet :crying: i am so worry that it got lost in mail . can someone tell me please how long they usualy give us to respond to the RFE? 15 or 30 days? and what if it got lost in mail! is there a way to get a copy before they deny my case

I cant imagine that im the only person in this specific situation. but just in case.

our k1 petition was sent from nvc to manila embassy on april 30 09. as of today may 24 09. when i call to set up a appointment for my fiancee. they tell me the case is not eligable. im not sure what this means, i thought once it left nvc, which took forever cause of ap. that we would be able to get interview date, i dont care if its months away , we just would like to have a date any date at this point. is there some additional background checks or adminstravie procesing done at embassy level as well?

this has been a long process, case got lost for 3 months, then to ar in nvc. now this. we have never gotten any rfe's though , as of yet anyway.

any advice, ive spent like 100 dollars already calling manila embassy. they just told me tonite to wait 2 more weeks. can you ask to speak to supervisior on this line?

Well just to let you know that u are not the only one in this situation.. our paper work left the NVC on 2/18.. going to Jamaica embassy... and we still haven't heard anything.. when will this be over???????????????????

Hi, I am a little worried about my interview because my husband and I are both students and live with his parents so we don't have proof of a lease. Our weeding was a very small ceremony with no reception and no honeymoon because we really didn't have money for anything else. Our licenses both have the same address and we do have a bank account together, cellphone bills together, joint car title and insurance, and lots of pictures. I don't know what else we can come up with to show the marriage is bonafide, will this be enough? thank you very much for the advice.

I was told he has to have a ssn & id to add him to my bank account.. would the letters from our family & friends be enough? we do have all my travel documents, and wedding photo's we had a nice size turn out given we were married in Jamaica.. it was about 50+ family memebers & friends there

both were entered on May 18th in the NVC system

we received already a mail dated May 21 saying that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the

visa issuing post overseas (french embassy)

we have not received yet any mail about I130 but on May 22nd noticed lawyer was mentioned in the VCR and sent

a mail asking to remove lawyer

Hello there all, I am almost in the same situation, me &my hubby's I129 & I130 approved in Feb, he wants to persue the I129.. we were told it would be mailed in one week to the embassy in Jamaica.. that was the week of Feb 18.. but we still haven't heard anything from the emabassy.. the NVC keeps telling us that it mailed on 2/13.. and they don't know the status of it after it left the NVC.. does anyone know usually how long it can take to hear anything from the embassy?

Hello there every 1.. well me & my hubby are waiting on his interview letter as well .. Our paper work was mailed to Kingston almost 3 mo. ago.. and when I called the NVC, I am told that Kingston will be processing our case..so they have no answer for me.. and of course when we call Kingston, we are told they don't give any case information over the phone, we have to e-mail or snail mail our question to them.. well when I send a e-mail,..I get the Auto response " we process over 19,000 case a year and we can't personaly respond to every case" so we are still playing this waiting game thanx 4 letting me vent...
