My fiancée asked for the second copy and he gave it to her with the original stamp.

Does she have a copy of her vaccination record from iran? if she does, Civil Surgeon may also accept it, or he may redo it again.

brown envelop that you are talking about is also contains her medical record too, but also includes other stuff.

In my case I'm willing to take the chance and not to send the Civil Surgeon report and I-693 and just ignore that form and wait to see if they REF her. and just I will send the vaccination record without I-693 form. because they already did full examination in Turkey and they have the report in their computer why do they need another examination and blood test and etc.

Please correct me if I'm incorrect.

you are saying that My Fiancée should have received a copy of DS-3025 after her medical exam? or it is in the brown packet she received to hand over Immigration officer?

I saw some postings on VJ where some people saying they did not receive it. Then what? do we have to take a vaccination record from my Fiancée's country and present it to the Civil Surgeon?

What is DS-3025 exactly and where do you get that?

DS 3025 should have been given to you when you took your medical.

    It's your vaccination record.

You'll need it to adjust status when in the uS.

  3. I guess you Answered your question. I wouldn't bet on luck, I would take Earliest flight on Wed. and just setup the appointment the same day that you arrive there so you can be on the safe side.

you just don't want to go to the embassy without medical report. because they wont even let you in.

My interview date is Sunday (January24) and I'll get to ABDH on Friday (there are 3 flights from Tehran to ABDH per week - Sunday/Wednesday/Friday)! I have to do the medical examination Friday to get the result Saturday BUT the problem is that Friday and Saturday are weekend time in ABDH! Does any one know if medical centers are open and handle the examination during weekend there? I wrote to Dr. McCulloch and he replied that his clinic is closed during weekend... how about the other two centers?

    3.what i have to send?

  6. when you file for AOS at the same time you can apply for Advance Parole, all fees are included in the AOS fee but if you file separately you have you Aprox $400 for just AP

After she gets her Green card, she is on her own, she can travel any where she wants and come back to the US without any problem.

Do you Guys know if a person entered with K1 visa (Fiancée) can apply a Travel document instead of advance Parole? or it has to be after the green card is received?
  7. I guess is the same as the blue page, I searched online I found few other forms which they don't make any sence.

My Fiancée's AP is complete and when I look at the website, they instructed her to bring Form OF-194 to the second interview. She only Got a blue sheet with all missing items needed (none checked). nowhere on the paper OF-194 refusal sheet is referenced. So what is OF-194?

    2.what is different w-2 or 1040 and transcript ?

W-2 form is the one that you get from your employer, 1040 is the form that you file with IRS, Also get a copy of your Tax Transcript it makes it more official.

    3.what i have to send?

All Above + Proof of relationship, bank info, Paychecks, letter from the employer, Photo of her 5*5,

  9. I recommend checking both site, just make sure both of them are for AP and not for IV appointment.

My fiance got this web site on his blue sheet of paper to check for his status...

    http://abudhabi.usembassy.gov/immigrant_status.html

However this sited was updated in June 30, 2009

Then there is the site that you can check the status from the main site and that was not mentioned on the blue sheet

    http://abudhabi.usembassy.gov/iv/case_status2.html

This one seems to be updated ... I checked to see if they both had the same case numbers and there was no patterns, They share some of the case numbers but not all and they both have cases up to this year....

On the other hand the embassy does not answer the phones or respond to emails... It is frustrating and seems very unorganized.

  11. 3 times?!!!!!! wow, was he missing any documents? did he change his passport or had any travel any where during his AP? could you please provide more info?

Being a female hopefully it won't take so long but be prepared for the worst. anywhere from 3 months to 3 years.

My fiance interviewed in Ankara three times, First interview they asked him three questions, lasted three minutes. Second time he just turned in his passport, waited a week and no visa, third time like two questions.

He did say they were very rude, he saw one man tear up a lady's paperwork because it was wrong, he waited like all day. So be prepared.

Overall good luck and the process will end soon. We just celebrated our one year anniversary

  12. I agree with Elham too, Attorneys they just want your money, as every one knows, "Vakila harfe moft ziadi mizanand vali Mofti harf nemizanand"

be khosos valika to america, faghat tale pol hastand, nemikham begam vali rastesh ra bekhaind aslan shoma eshtebah kardid ke sare valik raftid, visa va immigration kheili sade tar az in harfa hast.

"Iran is a T country" is a good excuse for attornies to make money! DO THE PROCESS YOURSELF, never ask help from them... it's the mistake we made before... They lie to make money. Yes most of Iranians need to pass a security check but things are not as bad as they say. They keep sending you such messages to make you pay and pay and pay!
  13. I guess, attorney is preparing you for the worst, from the time your file until u get the visa, it usually 9-12 month, but I see you passed NVC, so you have another 4-5 months to go, you may placed on AP, which it may or may not be more than 2 months, usually is quick (my experience and reading other posts)

Don't listen to people from countries other than iran, am I right other iranian friends?! because other they just say, oh you are from iran, oh ya, is going to take a loooooongggggggg time.....

  14. She has to go there with the passport between 1:00 and 1:30 (read the paper to make sure) she will drop off the passport with the blue paper and they will mail her the passport to her hotel address.

it may takes about 3-5 days.

my fiancee hasn't picked up her's but I heard, you go in, get a number they will call you to take your passport then you go to the UPS desk and pay for the post tag and then wait at your hotel for 3-5 days to get the passport back.

My Fiancée just passed the AP...I look like a crazy man telling everybody...lol

do they give the visa right there at the embassy or they mail it with the passport? Iranian applicants please reply...Thanks

  15. Well, I guess you need more sleep!!!!

Your co-worker shouldn't file I-134..... you need to file I-134 no matter how much income you have. ALSO your friend should of filed I-864 as a co-sponser.

if there was an any issue, they wouldn't accept it from the first point.

On the Blue paper that they gave her, what is checked off? if just Passport, then don't worry about it, that means most likely they have accepted every thing and they just have to do name check and AP.

what do you mean of :

"The interview, he thought was OK. But she had asked why we had someone else do the I-134 and when my fiance explained that I have been in Iran for a long visits therefore did not have a income tax return she said OK."

    ??????????

I just don't get it, I guess really you need some sleep.

Don't worry too much, my fiancee was also on AP too and it got clear soon. just some down.

What is the story of I-134????????

He is placed on AP . it takes some times to come out of it. Didn't they ask for any documents or info? How did the interview go on?

No They did not ask for any additional information and surprisingly, they did not get the copies of emails and the copies ticket for my second trip (which was recently and they did not have a copy of). They only accepted the pictures and the affidavit of support documents + medical and the forms they had asked us to fill out and sign. My fiance said all 5 people going for an interview that day (k1 & k3) got the blue paper 221g.

The interview, he thought was OK. But she had asked why we had someone else do the I-134 and when my fiance explained that I have been in Iran for a long visits therefore did not have a income tax return she said OK.

I have not had any sleep last night I am very worried that the I-134 can become another issue.

Thanks guys for all your support.

LOL, Now that I have slept a bit... The I-134 in our case is filled out by sponsor who is my co-worker... I have been in Iran for the last 3 years (off and on) and did not have a regular income and we thought this was a better way to go. (that is the question the officer had asked my fiance). That is all.

  16. processing time for CR-1. K-3, K1 is different and it may take little bit long for the CR-1 applicant to receive his/her interview date. friend of mine took about 2 months to receive CR-1 appointment.

but is different case to case and it depends how much processing they have to do.

So, my case will be completed for a CR-1 visa at the NVC soon. My wife will be interviewing at Abu Dhabi, and we were hoping for a December interview. However, it's come to my attention that there are people whose CR-1s were approved prior to mine (Armin and sama) who have still not received an interview date from the Abu Dhabi embassy. I find this strange, since the NVC staff with whom I've spoken have said the Abu Dhabi embassy is never very busy.

I have sent the embassy two e-mails and even tried calling them: no one answered e-mails, and no one picked up the phone. (So much for the customer service promise.) I'm getting in touch with my Senator now because I really want to know what the heck is going on, and if I should have my case transferred elsewhere, because I really need a December interview.

Before I do this, though, I wanted to ask other VJ members with Abu Dhabi cases--are any of you getting CR-1 interviews? If so, when were you approved, and when were you scheduled? I know that as of May 2009, there was no backlog at Abu Dhabi for CR-1s, judging by the timelines of a few VJers who were scheduled for Abu Dhabi in April.

Please post if you have any information on this. I'm getting pretty desperate, because a November/December interview was pretty essential to my academic and financial stability. If it's impossible to get a Dec. interview then I need to start taking some action now. Thanks!

  17. you should be fine with your your 2008 taxes. but have CO sponsor lined up too, also send them balance of your checking/saving too.

    My last year income meets the minimum requirement (poverty guidelines) just fine;

2 years ago I barely made the minimum (was a full time student half of the year, so no income in that half), and 3 years ago I was a full time student the whole year (no income)

I am qualified for I864ez, but as far as income on 2 and 3 years ago goes (question 19), only last year makes the minimum requirement.

    Questions:

    1. Is there going to be a problem since income on 2 and 3 years ago doesn't make the minimum?

    2. If I need extra evidence/cosponsor, etc... does the NVC let me know then, or I may get screwed and rejected in the consulate at the interview time if they don't like what they see as far as affidavit of support is concerned? If it's a matter of NVC rejecting the AOS right there, I can deal with that, but if there is a chance that you get screwed in the interview day and you get rejected, that would be to risky, in this case I rather find a co-sponsor.

Have you seen/heard such experiences for the above 2 questions?

    Thanks,

  18. what do you mean of :

  19. sorry to say, but this is the administrative processing, we all pay because our Gov. is ...... you have to checked the website on under AP section every week to see if your case is there or not.

if it takes a long time, you can try calling your congress man

does any one know what the meaning of each color is? my fiance just got the blue paper and was told it could take any where between 3 wks to 3 months :(
