My husbands interview will be in a few hours...appointment is in 3hrs to be exact.At this moment,his now getting ready to leave..he stayed in a hotel just across the Embassy so he can leave all his belongings such as cellphone that is prohibited upon entry to the USEM. I am super nervous for him, I think even more than him . Hope everything turns out well and hoping for the best result..May God be with him on this journey! Thank you so much all for all your replies...you guys are really helpful. By the way, my husband is now flying back to pinas arriving on July 27(Saturday). He'll make sure to go for medical following Monday & Tuesday it will give him at least a week before interview. At least I can breathe a little bit, luckily his company had agreed to adjust the release of his papers few days early from original date..Now I need to pray for his interview and medical to go as plan...May God be with him!

Hi just wondering , would the US embassy (specifically Manila) let you go on your interview without having done your medical and CFO seminar? The reason for this question is, my husband and I didnt anticipate that our interview will be scheduled first week of August (AUG 6) .. We're kind of expecting it sometime around 2nd week to the end of the month so we were quite suprised. My husband is currently still in Saudi Arabia and had resigned already at his company, but their not releasing his papers/documents/passport until the end of July. He is scheduled to fly back to Philippines on Aug 1 (Thurs). He can try going to St.Lukes for medical the next day after arriving..but as I understand it is a 2 day process..so he'll probably will need to come back for his 2nd day exam on a Monday already ( One day away for interview). Im kinda nervous that he wont be able to go thru interview without gettin the result of his medical first. Please can someone who have some input on this is very much appreciated. Im really freaking out

Congratulations!!..We're also hoping for August interview...We got our case completed June 21..been calling NVC but they said no Interview schedule yet from USEM..But base on all my readings here..mostly people got their interview scheduled either before/after 2 months from case complete. Our case completed on June 21 (called NVC) receive confirmation of completion via email June 28. Now were just waiting for our Interview date..I have been calling NVC and said no date for us yet . How long do we have to wait to find out and anyone can give me prediction of when should we expect our interview will be. Thanks to all Vj'ers who had helped us this far and to all who will continue to help

AFTER Case Completed @ NVC stage whats next?!

Called NVC and told us that are case was completed last June 21

Now whats next? Got a few questions and hope someone can help me.

1. Would we be receiving any confirmation from NVC for Case complete?

2. How would I know bout our Interview date?

3. Does anyone have any prediction of when our interview will be? Any chance of us making it on August as I heard July is already booked?

4. Along with interview dates, do they give you schedule when is your medical as well? some I spoke with before said "yes". You will be given an date when you should get one..and some says they just simply register and go to St.Lukes (MAnila) on any given day.

5. What exactly is on Packet 4? and what to do with them?

Mine too.. AOS on hold..NVC can not give me a definite timeframe as to when they will review my AOS packet..

Hope someone can answer this for me..On form DS-230 (Application for Immigrant visa) there is this question #31b stating: List the Person(s) name who will follow you to the United states at a later date? My husband had listed his 3 children from previous marriage..is that right? although I am only petitioning my husband and not his 3kids. He will be the one petitioning them later in years to come. I'm just scared that, by him putting his 3kids name in that question will be added to the number of people as my dependent on the I-864 (Affidavit of support)I need to submit.And Instead of just having enough income for 2 people requirement, now it will be for 5people? Can someone please help

If you have both a court order AND documentation that you actually receive the child support, simply indicate "Court Ordered Child Support" in 22b and add the employment income and child support together when stating current income. Document the child support with a copy of the court order AND evidence the money is being paid to you.

Just to clarify..22b on I-864? that line is for "IF im currently Self-Employed"? Just unsure because I already check on the box of Employed and list my employer. Please verify pushbrk..thanks

I have addition question regarding this, is it okay to add child support as an income? I do have a court order stating how much im supposed to get in a month, If so where should I put that on I-864? is it on question 26 section C where it states " Enter the net cash value of all stocks,bonds or any other assets not already included in lines 26 (a&b)? and if so should I write it down as child support or just simply provide the copy of the court order. Hope someone can help me out on this, any input pls

Just write up a simple letter, doesn't have to be long, just a paragraph or two. Explain that you're waiting for the police certificate, how long it will take. Then request that your case be closed upon review and that you'll bring the police report with you to the interview. Simple as that.

Keep in mind, this isn't guaranteed for the request to be accepted. But it's worth a shot!

Ok saylin, ill definitely keep that in mind, were still undecided if were going to send in our IV packet without the PC or we just rather wait till we got all the necessary documents before sending it in..but thanks for all the help your providing us

Seems they are quite a pain. I'm glad I work at a smaller company. I already talked to them and they told me to just type it up when it's time and they'll sign it for me.

You can send the IV application now with a request that your case be closed, despite the missing police report, and that you'll bring the original police report to the interview as it'll be another month until you receive it. I've seen this work in the past

You can start getting that police clearance now.

My husband is planning on getting it done as soon as he gets a time off from work (maybe not till next week). But just a taught, would it be advisable for us to submit all the other requirements and leave off for now the Police certificate (Saudi & Philippine)and just see if they will send us RFE and the list. No. If he lives in KSA he needs a police certificate from there. You need one from every country you've lived in for over a year after the age of 16.

OP - if you are doing the NVC route you send it, and a photocopy to the NVC with the other original documents. They will forward it to the embassy. You do not need to bring the original if the original was submitted to the NVC.

Thank so so much Niki for clearing that up for me. Its going to be a bit of a challenge for us, since my husband need to get both police certificate from Saudi (I heard its a bit of a pain to get one) then he needs to get one from Philippines as well ( and Also a challenged since his out of the country)..which brings me to the next question of, how long do we have to comply with all the requirements to be submitted? We surely gonna need alot of time to gather all this document

After paying AOS & IV bill, are we supposed to recieve anything from NVC like instruction packets? and is there an expiration on how long you supposed to send all the requirements for AOS & IV bill? reason for this is we already paid both bill but still need time to gather all our documents needed like POlice clearance from Saudi (since my husband still in KSA) and Philippine Police certificate, both in which is going to be a long wait and a struggle to get. Some pls shed us some light

Approved I-130 means you got the approval letter and now they instructed you to fill the DS-230 for IV. Ur set, no need to worry.

Yea the email address posted 1st is correct. RiyadhIV@state.gov not the second one.
