  1. Hi everyone, I made a few changes to the spreadsheet.

I updated some dates and ordered the usernames in alphabetical order so they're easier to find.

I yet have to add a couple of users that joined our thread in the past few days, sorry! I plan on doing that by the end of the week (been busy at work again...).

In case somebody doesn't have the link to the spreadsheet, here it is again: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pze...X2bQoUgSQKgZsDw :)

    Good luck to all!!

Its me again Rosie, sorry I should of mentioned it, in my reply, but I did receive my biometrics appointment letter today

    in the mail :D

Thank you so much Rosie, I totally appreciate the updates on the spreadsheet and the continued hard work you are

putting towards this. Kimcorne I havent left you out either you are also doing a fantastic job on the spreadsheet also.

  3. The NOA's show the receipt of forms I-485, I-130 and I-765 and they should also show your Alien number. You will get two then one in the name of the Petitioner - three in all. Mine were received about a week and a half after they got my package if that's anything to go by and Bios were scheduled soon after. I think that's pretty standard. Good luck in getting everything in time! I would go in the afternoon if you do a walk in - I'm sure it will be fine...

Hey Beantownbabe, I know this is not my conversation, but I had no idea that the alien number was located on the NOAs, I adjusted from

a visitor visa, so the A on the I-485 NOA is my new alien # because I didnt have one when I filed.

  4. Received NOA for all 3 petitions as of today. They're dated 11-5-2008.

Congrads naviomelo on getting your NOAs today, I got mine Friday, so a few of us oct filers have the same timeline such as tonydanza,

ellienho, you and I, and if there are others with similar timelines and I didnt mention your name, I am very sorry. Good luck to you and

    all of us.

Cool thx Beantownbabe. I'll wait till I get the letter then try a walkin. I am actually in Nantucket so it is a hike, but worth it if it saves even a few days. I am on a major time crunch. I still didnt get my NOA today. So I am hoping Monday. I am assuming from this thread you all got your biometrics letter almost directly after. I was also trying to find what the second NOA means. Is that to let you know you've actually received approval, rather than just then receiving you package?

Tony, I am pretty sure you will receive your NOAs on Monday, as your timeline is similar to mine.

  5. Hi guys, sorry the spreadsheet hasn't been updated in a timely manner but it was crazy busy at work for me and Kimcorene is busy with the move.

I just updated it as much as I could see the information being posted on this thread, let me know if I missed anything!!

I just came back from my biometrics appointment and I'm just a little worried because some of my fingerprints were reading "match warning" on the screen.. I'm just afraid they get refused by the FBI because they're bad prints or something :(

Welcome to all other October filers!!

Thank you Rosie for updating the spreadsheet, and I bet you were busy with work, work sure is something else I tell you and can take up

a whole lot of your time. I know Kimcorne has also been busy with the move, so I totally understand and I know that no one is complaing

or upset about you both not having the time to keep up with the spreadsheet lately. I am sorry to hear about your biometrics appointment

I do hope nothing bad comes out of it and I do wish the best. I dont think it will be anything bad, maybe just ask you to come back and

    redo the fingerprints.

  6. For those who are doing or have done the biometric 'walk-in' attempt, I am wondering if that is only after they recieve their NOA or their Biometrics scheduled appointment. I am wondering if there is any point in trying a walk-in prior to recieving the letter. Prob not huh? Just racing the clock for the army SF deadline which I am trying to meet, so any extra time is a massive plus for me.

And what is up with still no NOA ;(. That damn thing better show up soon, I'm loosing my mind trying to confirm that my package even made it to the right address seeing as I am the only person I have seen that had a different lady sign for my package...Chiba. Man this waiting game gets ya, huh? ;) (And this is just the start)

Hey Tony, I dont know about the biometrics walk in attempt, I have heard though, if they are not busy and you use a reasonable excuse,

they will allow you to do your biometrics. If it isnt far away from you, where you have to go then, it doesnt hurt to try, but if you are

far, I wouldnt because you may be disappointed. I do hope you do meet the deadline for the army signup. I know waiting for the NOAs

is a pain in the ### to wait for and your timeline is quite the same as mine. I got my NOAs yesterday in the mail, so I am just waiting on

my biometrics appointment in the mail. I hope you get your NOAs and it may come today. Good luck.

Just got my NOAs!! Woo! Biometrics next!

Congrads Fuzzymiss on getting your NOAs, I also got mine yesterday also.

  7. hello everyone!

i am so surprized i have not found this thread earlier.

there is actually another October AOS thread where a lot of March K1 Vermont filers were posting. We kind of stuck together and filed for AOS around the same date.

We filed October 16 and i have my biometrics next Wednesday.

One thing is a little weird. Neither of my receipt numbers can be pulled out on the USCIS website. Like they did not upload our case or something.

Do you think i should call and have them fix it?

Anyone else in the same situation?

I also try to check my receipt numbers online. But it said the numbers begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). And my number begin with MSC.

    Anybody elso experience it?

Hi eileenho, I also tried to check my receipt numbers online and it wouldnt work. My numbers also begin with MSC.

It would show up eventually..dont worry about it..even if it doesn't show up that does not mean they are not working on it..All marriage-based cases go to the National Benefits Center hence receipts with MSC. I got receipts starting with MSC and alot of other people.

MSC- Missouri Service Center same as National Benefits Center.

Hey everyone, I just want to inform you all that, I received all 3 NOA1s in the mail today for my I-130, I-485 and I-765. The next step is

to wait for a biometrics appointment letter in the mail. By the way I am glad to hear everyones biometrics appointment went smoothly.

Hope everyone's journey goes smoothly. I know the info, I provided wont be updated because Kimcorne just moved and wont have

access to the internet yet, but I just want to say, I hope you enjoy your new place and take your time getting settled in. Also, I know

Rosie is busy with work and life so guys when you can update the info it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

HI, i also received 3 NOA letters just now, i am waiting for my Biometrics appointment too. It seems our schedule is the same. They received our package on OCT 29. But i asked my hubby to see if the check cashed, he said there is no updates on account yet.

All bless to all of us, Oct Filers.

Hi eileenho congrads to you for receiving your NOAs in the mail today and I bet you were looking in your mailbox everyday, which I was

LOL. I am waiting for my biometrics appointment just like you and yes, it does seem like we both do have the same schedule. My

package was received on OCT 28. I called to see if my checks has been cashed yesterday but it hasnt but I might have to call again today

to see if it was finally cashed. Good luck to you and to all Oct filers

  10. Yes it can take up to 30 days to get NOA1 letter in the mail.

Did you use a traceable method to send the package? Do you have confirmation of receipt? Did you use personal checks so that you can see that they were cashed?

    :time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=56085

Oh ok thanks for the confirmation on that and when you say traceable method do you mean when I sent the package,

if I was able to track my package? If that is what you mean then yes I do and a confirmation of receipt I do have that.

I didnt use personal checks, I used a cashiers check and have no clue if they have been cashed or not.

  11. Hey guys I want to ask you a question, how long does it take to receive the first NOA when an AOS package has arrived

to the Chicago lockbock? I was on reading on vj wiki that an NOA may take a week. My wife called the USCIS hotline

and was told that it could take up to 30 days, is this true? My wife was telling me that they just say this so people wont

call repeatidly. I was just wondering when I have checked out other members timeline they received theirs so quick?

  12. I know I'm a little late but, sent AOS on 10/27/08. Patiently awaiting any updates (check not cashed yet).

Hey dpoloablastr congrads on sending your AOS, I have the same timeline as you do and I am in the sameboat as you

are, just waiting for any updates. Good luck to you on your immigration journey and hope it goes smoothly.

We got our package sent off via USPS Express on Friday...wish us luck!

Congrads Sweetpea-n-Poppy, I wish you good luck and hope your immigration journey goes smoothly. The waiting

    part sucks the most LOL.

  13. Well, first of all welcome to all the new October filers!!

And congrats to Kimcorene for the approval of her waiver! And thank you for updating the spreadsheet this week.. at work it's been a crazy busy week and I didn't get a chance to do much, sorry! :crying:

Thank you Rosie for the welcome and I just want to thank you personally for working so hard with Kimcorene on the spreadsheet :D.

I just want to say good luck on your journey.

  14. I just sent my AOS packet this morning Oct.31, 2008 to USCIS Chicago, IL via USPS.

now starts the waiting again...

GOOD LUCK to all OCTOBER AOS filers. :innocent:

Congrads Jack&Anais on filing your AOS today and I wish you guys good luck on your journey. I am in the same boat with you guys and I am now playing the waiting game.

    Got the biometrics appointment today

    Progressing faster than I thought~

Congrads seabass, your process seems to be coming along very nicely actually, wish you good luck in your journey.

  15. Welcome everyone! Good to see some familiar new names from other threads and forums! Glad things are moving along for everyone and the Bio stage has begun...Will be interesting to see who gets their EAD first. By the way - thanks for the spreadsheet Kimcorene, you did a great job - see, you are being productive with your spare time!

Kimcorene absouletly did a great job on the spreadsheet, and I appreciate him making it because it is really cool to track everyone elses process. BTW beantownbabe...thanks for the welcome, I also think it sure is nice to see some familar names. I am glad also that things are coming along for everyone as well. I myself am still at the baby stages of it all. Most of the innitial actvity for my process will take place in November, but techincally I am an October filer, so I am looking forward to see how long it takes for me to get my EAD. I will keep everyone posted:)

  16. Hey guys I forgot to make a post on here to inform you all, I filed Monday and just wanted to let you guys know how

much I appreciate everyone for their help and guidance, thank you very much to this form as it is one of the greatest

sites ever. I want to ask you guys what is the next step after filing, I made a timeline and everything. Good luck to

everyone who is about to file and everyone who is in the process right now.

  17. hello everyone, maybe some of you can let me know the process of form I-485

ive been married 2 years to my husband we got married on sep 28 2006.

aug 27 my husband filed form I-130 because his citizenship process was taking forever to complete

USCIS sent notice I-797 notice of action on sept 1.

On october 18th, 2008 my husband finally became an american citizen.

Oct 20. I called to ugrade the I-130 petition and let them know my husband is now a citizen

Now i have everything ready to send form I-485 adjustment of status, for I-864 affidavit, i-765 application for employment

and the medical which ive already done and willl send with the package. This lady is going to help me go through all the forms to

ensure ive filled them out correctly. When i send all this what can i expect? any other fellow canadians have some info on what happens next or if im

missing anything. We're having a baby end of december so we'd like to finish this process as soon as possible,,,, thanks so much !!!!

A warm hello to all my fellow canadians!!!

Hello cinthya85 from one canadian to another, well I filed my AOS package on monday through USPS via express mail

and it arrived in chicago yesterday signed and picked up, so now I am playing the waiting game and waiting for my

first NOA to come to confirm your package is now in process kinda thing. All I can say is the final step of compling

everything is very tedious and a whole bunch of running around, which gets crazy and when you are ready to file

make sure you double check everything, like evidence in the right place, signatures where they are required etc etc.

I am very much so in the baby stages of the AOS process LOL. All I can tell you is that you will be playing the waiting

game and the process is a long wait.

I personally dont have the experience from start to finsih but I am pretty sure many people on here will help.

Good luck on your journey and hope its smooth sailing for you.

  18. I just filed via overnight with UPS to the Chicago Lockbox. I guess the first day of the rest of my life. haha How dramatic. I guess I can officially start my timeline.

Anyway, I want to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to every person on this site who compiled an example form, a guide, responded to a thread, created a thread, just overall to the whole visa journey staff, owners and community. It helped immensely.

Also, although I checked about 500 times my package before mailing, I am wondering what the process is if I forgot a photo, or to sign something, or similar. I mean I am sure people occasionally neglect a blank or something. Do they call me or send the whole thing back? What is the process for errors, missing info, forms, etc. OK. Thanks again all!

Hey Tony congrads on sending your AOS package today. I sent my package monday through USPS express mail and it

arrived in Chicago yesterday signed, and picked up so just waiting to hear about my checks being cashed

and getting the first NOA1. I bet the last week or so must have been crazy trying to complie everything together,

it was crazy for both my wife and I to compile everything and the running around was chaotic.

I was the sameway with my package checking it 500 times to make sure all evidence. phots, everything

was filled out correctly and signatures on every form, it sure does make your paranoid LOL. I agree with what you

said in your second paragraph, I too would like to thank everyone on this forum for their help and support and to be

perfectly honest as you said it best, it sure is one the best sites, I have found. I just want to say good luck to you on

your immigration journey and hope its smooth sailing for you.

  19. Hi!

I came here as a visitor on the VWP. Now applying for I-130 and I-485 and so the I-765 as well.

I was just filling out the document, and wasn't sure what to answer on question 16? I have to pick one code right? Is it C9? Or A7? Or A9? I'm a little confused here and want to make sure I fill out the right code. Thanks!

Hi Eshansmommy inreagrds to your question, I too came into the US as a visitor also so you would pick C9 as your code and I used the

sample forms available on the example forms tab and look for the I-765 form and you can use it for reference. I am in the

baby stages of the AOS process as my timeline will show LOL. Hope that info helps and good luck to you on your journey.

  20. Hey VJ members, I know I am a later October filer, but just want to tell everyone that I did send my AOS package yesterday and my

package did arrive to the Chicago lockbox and signed today so I am very excited :D. Hope my process and every other October filers

process goes smoothly. I just want to say the spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's process is such a good idea and I dont remember

the name of the member who made this and is taking the time to keep track of everyone, but I just want to compliment that member and

I want to know if I can be added to the list. Thank you very much in advance and good luck to everyone in their process.

Thanks, Rosie and I appreciate it. You have been added to the spreadsheet. BTW, what class visa are you adjusting from?

Your welcome and thanks to the both of you and thank you for adding me to the spreadsheet. Oh my appology for not stating what visa, I

adjusted from a visitor visa. I noticed you have a Jamaican flag on your avatar and my background is Jamaican, I am born and raised in

Canada but both of my parents are Jamaican.

OK, Cool  . Is it a B2 visa?

Technically yes that is what they call it, but as a Canadian we dont need a visa to visit the US, we are allowed to stay up to 6 months out

    of the year.
